Since the other girls didn’t have any schedules today, I decided to make breakfast before I went to mine. I left a note saying where I’d be so AeCha wouldn’t worry.

On my way to SM Ent, I decided to go by the bakery to buy some ‘thank you’ cakes for DongHae and SiWon. They had helped me out so much these past few weeks and I wanted them to know how much I appreciated it. I picked up a blue cake for DongHae and a green one for SiWon. As I was paying I realized I was 100 won short.

“I’ve got it!” said a man behind me and passed the coin to the cashier.

“Thank you so much.” I looked up at him, smiling. “Whoa! You’re Jung YunHo-sshi of DBSK…”

“Shhh…. More fans might gather.” I stepped aside so he could pay for his soda and chips.

“Oh, I’m not a fan. Well, I am, but I’m also a trainee.” We walked outside.

“So you’re headed to the building now?” I nodded and he lifted the cakes out of my arms. “Here, I’ll carry these and you can hold onto my soda and chips since they’re lighter.”

“Okie dokie.” I smiled as I took the small bag from him.

“So, what group are you with?”

“Princess 7. I’m Fallon, but my stage name is DaeSa. I doubt you know about me though.”

“Are you kidding me?! SuJu talks about you more than themselves.”

“Wow. Really?”

“Yeah. Really. You’re getting to be really popular at SM Ent.”

“It’s a dream come true.”

“What do you mean?”

“Back home, I’m not too popular. Kind of the girl who gets looked over since I don’t usually talk much. I’ve always dreamed about having a lot of friends. I’m really grateful to Princess 7 and SuJu for giving me that.”

“Wow. You’re really thankful.”

“Why do you say that?”

“Because you’re crying.” I quickly swiped my hand across my eyes. He nudged me playfully with his elbow. I giggled. “Aw, you’re just like Micky. Such a crybaby.”

“Am not!” By that time, we had reached the SM building.

“Are too!” And he quickly dashed inside. I caught up with him at the elevators and pressed the 11 button. “Hey. Can you do me a favor?”

“Yeah. Of course.”

“Be as thankful for my friendship as you are for SuJu’s.” He looked down at me and I smiled.

“I will always treasure our friendship even though I’ve only known you for 30 minutes.”

“Well, close relationships can be built overnight.”

“Hmmm, maybe.” The doors pinged open and I followed YunHo to the entrance of SuJu’s dance studio. We walked inside.

“Look who I found.” YunHo announced, placing the cakes on the table by the boom box.

“Fallon-ah!” They all clobbered me in a group hug.

“Guys, I missed you all too, but I can’t breathe.” They backed up, smiling.

“Are those cakes for us?” YeSung asked.

“Well, actually, they were for SiWon and DongHae, as thanks for what they’ve done, but I don’t think they mind sharing.” YeSung turned to DongHae and whimpered. We all noticed that Fishy was crying. I walked over to him.

“You don’t have to share if you don’t want to.” I said, hoping to stop his tears. He chuckled, mussing my hair.

“I’m not worried about sharing. What’s mine is my hyungs and dongsaengs. I’m just so moved by you doing this for me. Kamsahamnida.”

“Awww, DongHae oppa, you’re so cute.” I hugged him. “C’mon, Fishy, let’s get you some before YeSung oppa eats it all. YunHo oppa, bring over the rest of DBSK, there’s enough for them, too.”

After the cake was served, SiWon and I went to get drinks from the vending machines.

“So, how was the cake?”

“Really good.” He smiled and rubbed his tummy. His well toned tummy. His well toned ab-covered appeal filled tummy. “Fallon-ah, come back to Earth.”

“Haha. Sorry.”

“So, where did you meet YunHo-hyung?” he asked, tense.

“I ran in to him at the store when I was buying your cake. He spotted me a 100 won coin. He wants us to be good friends.” He relaxed at the word friend. “You weren’t jealous, were you?”

“Yeah. I mean he’s taller than me, much more famous than me, and he can speak more languages than me. He’s the better guy.”

“Ahniyo. He may be all that, but he’s not the guy I have a crush on. You’re very special, oppa.” He blushed.

“I wish you’d choose already. You’re making it really hard to play fair.” He kissed my forehead and we headed back to the studio to set up for practice.

3 days till debut

The girls and I had just finished laying down the tracks for “Flower Girl”, the title single on our repackaged album, so we headed to the dorms where DBSK was hosting a pool party.

I changed into a blue and tan tankini with a mid thigh bathing skirt. I went out the backdoor where everyone else was waiting. I set my bag and towel down and was about to sit on a beach chair when YunHo scooped me up and threw me in the pool.

“YunHo-oppa! You made me hurt my leg. Now help me out of the pool.” I lied as he leaned down. I took my chance and pulled him in. I tried swimming to the other side, but his quick reflexes grabbed me and pulled me onto his shoulders.

“Yah! Thought you could get away!” He laughed. “Who wants to play Chicken?!”

“Oooo! I do!” Jessica squealed, grabbing DongHae, who was talking with EunHyuk and ShinDong. I felt a pang of jealousy as Jessica climbed on his shoulders.

“Ready, set, go!” LeeTeuk yelled as referee and I spared against Jessica. She quickly plummeted underwater and re-submerged. “Winner! Fallon and YunHo!”

“Yay!” I squealed in victory and ruffled YunHo’s hair. I was doing great until ChangMin, Micky, and JunSu decided to hoist me up and throw me back in the water. “Oppas! Why?!”

“’Cause you look so cute when you’re mad.” JunSu said, while pinching my cheeks with Micky.

“Oh, I’m about to get real adorable.” I splashed them and it turned into a full on splash war with me as the losing party.

After dinner, while everyone was sitting by the fire at the gazebo, I decided to go for a walk. Today had been so much fun. DBSK had really become like my older brothers and Jessica had actually played nice. Today had gone so well that I had time to think about who I was going to choose. After 2 weeks, I finally had my answer. Luckily, my guy had taken a walk a couple minutes earlier.

As I peered around the corner, I saw him and JESSICA?! I thought she was still at the bonfire with the others. To my horror, she pulled him close and kissed him. She stepped away and looked at me. He turned and saw me as well. The look on his face was that of shame.

“Fallon-ah, it’s not what you-!” SiWon yelled, but I didn’t catch the rest of what he had said because I was too busy running. I had to getaway. I was crying which blurred my vision, but I still knew the way back to my dorm.

I ran all the way into my room and into the back of my closet, where no one could find me and no boy could hurt me.
