HyeMi sat on the floor with her best friend Jungkook as the two watched music videos on his laptop. Currently they were watching Be Mine by Infinite and Jungkook watched as his best friend was fangirling. He found it adorable that she was so passionate about these boys and didn’t mind that she said she was going to marry Myungsoo from Infinite. Because the chances of her actually meeting and him falling in love are slim. His chances were a lot better.

“Infinite are my ideal type,” HyeMi told Jungkook. “They are incredible dancers.”

“You know, I can dance just as well as them,” Jungkook said.

HyeMi laughed and pinched Jungkook’s cheek.

“My little Jungkook is jealous. How cute! But I hate to tell you on a scale of Sungjong to Hoya you’re Sungjong. You are just too adorable.”

Jungkook pouted and HyeMi giggled as she went to pinch his cheek again.

“I get it, I’m adorable,” he grumbled as he pushed away his friend’s hand.

It was getting on his nerves being seen as the cute best friend. When would HyeMi see him as more than that?

“The most adorable,” HyeMi corrected.

Checking the time, HyeMi noticed she had to get home for dinner. She ruffled Jungkook’s hair before getting up off the floor ad heading out. Jungkook replayed Infinite’s music video and glared at the seven handsome boys on his screen.

“How dare you take my girl away from me,” Jungkook told the boys on the screen. “She sees me as her cute friend and I don’t know how to change her mind. I guess I need to act more manly in front of her?”

Jungkook looked to the screen as if they were responding with their singing.

“Act like you guys? That may work.”

Jungkook spent the rest of his night trying to learn from Infinite. It was the only way he could see himself getting HyeMi.

The next day Jungkook called over HyeMi ready to impress her by dancing to none other than Be Mine. Things were going well and Jungkook felt HyeMi was impressed with his dancing. But then Hoya’s solo came up and when Jungkook went for the split, his pants decided to do the same thing. HyeMi started cracking up while Jungkook covered up the place that ripped. He left the room and smacked his forehead.

“Such an idiot!” he remarked.

He changed his pants and vowed that he wouldn’t let himself do anything embarrassing in front of HyeMi. Heading back out to meet HyeMi Jungkook found her on the floor still laughing her head off.

“It wasn’t that funny!” Jungkook shouted and gave a pout to his friend.

“It was sort of hilarious. I’m sorry but oh my gosh!”

Jungkook sat next to his friend and waited for her to calm down. As much as he was mad though for her laughing at him, he couldn't help but love her laugh.

“Alright now that you’re done laughing at me why don’t we go play some basketball?”

HyeMi nodded so Jungkook fetched his basketball and the two went to the park. The court wasn’t being used so the two began a friendly game where Jungkook went easy on HyeMi. Everything was fine until Jungkook tried to make a shot and the ball bounced off the rim and knocked him the head. He stumbled backwards and HyeMi rushed to his side.

“Today is not my day,” Jungkook claimed as he held his head.

“Are you okay?” HyeMi asked.

Jungkook nodded and HyeMi helped him stand and brought him over to a nearby bench. HyeMi watched him carefully to which Jungkook couldn’t help but smile. She really cared for him which made him happy.

“Why are you smiling like that?” HyeMi questioned.

The smile went away in an instant as Jungkook looked at his shoes.

“No reason,” he claimed.

The two became silent as they looked down at their feet. Both had things they wanted to say but both weren’t sure where to start.

“I was talking to Jimin,” HyeMi finally said.

That sent Jungkook into panic mode. When Jimin speaks, it’s never good. For one, he was handsome and Jungkook always worried that HyeMi preferred Jimin rather than him. Jimin also always threatens Jungkook telling him if he didn’t tell HyeMi how he felt then he would do it for him.

“And…?”

“He says that he likes me.”

HyeMi watched Jungkook throw the ball across the court and ball his hands into fists.

“I should get that,” he mumbled.

HyeMi bit her lip as she thought back to what Jimin said.

“He’s totally into you,” Jimin said as he chowed down on the ramen HyeMi had made.

Rolling her eyes, HyeMi made herself her own bowl of ramen.

“Right and Namjoon hates sunglasses.”

“I’m being serious. All you have to do is tell him I like you. He’ll get all mad but try to cover it up. Just watch him real close and you’ll be able to tell.”

“Why are you telling me this?”

HyeMi and Jimin were never that close. He normally just tagged along with Jungkook when he came over merely to pig out on all her food.

“Because he wasn’t planning on telling you and I really want you to give him a chance.”

Jungkook came back with the ball and HyeMi took it from him. She set it between her feet and looked over at him.

“Are you… dating him?” Jungkook asked.

HyeMi could see how his words were forced and knew Jimin was right.

“I lied. He doesn’t like me,” HyeMi said.

“Then why…”

“He told me you liked me.” Jungkook froze. “And I didn’t believe him. So he said I had to watch you closely and tell you that he liked me. But he was right. Why didn’t you tell me?”

Jungkook sighed and got up from the bench.

“Because I’m not Infinite. I’m just your ‘cute’ friend. Even when I tried to be manlier earlier and dance to Infinite it was just a total mess.”

HyeMi was honestly lost when it came to what to do next. She didn’t think Jimin was serious. Nor did she plan on what to do if he actually did like her.

“You’re not Infinite,” HyeMi agreed. “But you have your own charm about you. And on the Sungjong to Hoya scale you’re probably more of a… Myungsoo.”

Not sure what that meant, Jungkook just stood there.

“That means you went up on the list,” HyeMi explained.

Jungkook smiled and opened his arms for a hug. HyeMi got up from the bench and eyed her friend. What would it mean if she hugged him right now? HyeMi saw the smile slowly disappear the longer she stood there. She panicked, not wanting him to frown and moved in to give him a hug. His arms wrapped around her and held her tight as she closed her eyes and took in this feeling. HyeMi liked this.

“Be Mine,” Jungkook spoke.

He felt HyeMi tense and released her from his hug and looked to see her thinking.

“Only if you take me to paradise,” HyeMi said.

She giggled at her pun and Jungkook chuckled.

“Deal,” Jungkook said and stuck out his hand.

The two shook their hands and Jungkook leaned in to give HyeMi a kiss on the cheek.

Oh infinite puns lol <3 (My true loves. I'm cheating on them with Bangtan. >.<)

OMG I feel this is lacking/short but I don't know how to make it  better. I'm sorry for the delay but I've been having B.A.P feels (which I've never had before and I don't like this. Zelo go away :P) and then the whole thing with Sunggyu happened (don't even get me started with that).
