Chapter Thirteen
Crossing PathsThey didn’t do much before.
“This one’s the nicest,” Sun Hi said.
“You think so? I was thinking the blue one was nicer,” Myungsoo said.
The two sat on Sun Hi’s porch with all of Myungsoo’s recent drawings laid out in front of them. Sun Hi found someone who was willing to sell Myungsoo’s drawings but he wanted some right way. So the two met up and quickly tried to pick some good ones.
“Wait, how many does he want?”
“He said about three would be fine,” Sun Hi said as she ran her hand over a landscape painting.
“Hm, you can pick which ones you think are the best,” Myungsoo smiled at Sun Hi.
“Really?” Her eyes widened a bit.
“Yea,” He ruffled her hair. “You got me this deal so you can choose.”
Sun Hi bit her lip before picking the three she thought were the prettiest. Myungsoo smiled at her choice and the two headed off to the seller. The man, Lee Sungjong, had a small shop full of paintings and pictures. Regardless of the size of the shop, there were still many people roaming through the small store. Sun Hi had told Myungsoo previously that Sungjong managed to sell quite a lot of pictures but kept his business small.
“These are nice,” Sungjong pointed out as he looked through the work Myungsoo handed him.
“Thank you,” Myungsoo said.
“These will probably sell in about two weeks. Can I have your number? I’ll keep you updated.”
“Ah, yes,” Myungsoo scrambled to write his number down on a scrap piece of paper.
After taking one glance at the pictures, Myungsoo and Sun Hi walked out of the shop. They decided to stop for some ice cream at a nearby shop.
“Hey, Myungsoo Oppa,” Sun Hi called out.
“Hm?” Myungsoo diverted his attention from the people outside the window of the shop to Sun Hi who was staring at the table.
“Can you,” She paused. “Teach me how to draw?”
Myungsoo chuckled, “Why the sudden interest?”
“I just want to learn and you’re really talented,” Sun Hi said. “Plus I’m a bored sixteen year old.”
“Sure, why not?”
“Yay!” Sun Hi exclaimed.
What Sun Hi didn’t tell Myungsoo was the real reason as to why she wanted him to teach her. She was lonely. Sun Hi spent most of her time volunteering at the hospital so she didn’t make many friends. The friends she did have, she didn’t meet outside of school. Her brother, Sehun, was a soccer player so he didn’t have much time for her. That only left Myungsoo. And she was growing quite close to Myungsoo.

“Why was she so happy all of a sudden?” Sunggyu asked himself.
He was sitting in the back of Woohyun’s restaurant. There was an hour till he was due to go up on stage so he decided to sit down and think to himself. He first wondered whether Da Eun would come to the restaurant again that day. Then he wondered whether she did recognize him but just chose to ignore the fact that he was singing. But he dismissed those thoughts. She was too moved by his song to ignore him. Then again, it was possible for her to act in such a way that made it seem like she ignored him.
There was a lot he didn’t know about Da Eun, Sunggyu concluded.
“What are you thinking so intently about?” Woohyun asked as he sat down next to Sunggyu.
“Hm?” Sunggyu looked up. “Oh, nothing.”
“I think it was something,” Woohyun smirked.
Sunggyu laughed, “It wasn’t, really.”
“Show me that new song you said you wanted to perform,
