Donghae made a full recovery and was out of the hospital a couple days later.  And no sooner too, it was just in time for Eunhyuk’s big surprise.

The fan meet was packed full of anxiously awaiting fans and news hungry paparazzi.  Little did they know, today would be a field day for them. 

Eunhyuk peered through the curtain and his eyes widened at the turnout.  The crowd was huge, he smiled.  It was perfect.

He fiddled with the metal object between his hands that were in his pocket, he was nervous for sure. 

“Remind me again why I’m here Hyukkie?” Donghae suddenly popped up behind Eunhyuk, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend’s waist.

Dropping the object back into his pocket, he turned around to be met with a smiling yet slightly confused Donghae.  That was how Eunhyuk loved seeing his boyfriend, happy and smiling. 

Eunhyuk couldn’t help but mirror the younger’s smile, it was infectious.  He brushed a stray hair from Donghae’s face and stole a quick kiss.

The latter blushed, “You still haven’t answered my question you know.”

Eunhyuk’s grin widened, “I know.” He said in a cheery voice.

Donghae’s eyes narrowed in suspicion, “But-“

Of course he was once again cut off by Eunhyuk’s lips when he stole another kiss.

“You know what they say Hae, patience is a virtue and all that.” Eunhyuk said as he untangled his arms from the latter’s body.

Donghae pouted at the lack of warmth that his boyfriend’s arms had provided and folded his arms in protest in a childlike manner.

The singer chuckled, “Now, go wait like a good boy and just wait.”

“But how am I supposed to know when whatever the hell you’re planning is happening?” Donghae asked with curious eyes.

Eunhyuk brushed the back of his hand against Donghae’s face briefly, “Trust me, you’ll know.”  With that said, Eunhyuk walked away leaving a even more confused Donghae behind.

With nothing better to do, Donghae decided to go find Sungmin to see if he could make sense of this very confusing situation.

Rounding a corner, he found what he was looking for all right, and then some. 

Perched upon Kyuhyun’s lap was a very otherwise occupied Sungmin kissing the hell out of Kyuhyun.  Donghae thought he would lose his lunch right then and there.

“Sungmin, if you any harder, you’ll Kyuhyun’s face right off.”

Seeing who would dare interrupt their lovely moment, a rather pissed Sungmin slowly turned around to face Donghae, a murderous glint in his eyes.

“Is there something I can help you with Donghae?” Sungmin asked as he slowly got up and stood himself in front of his friend, that evil glint still very much evident.

Kyuhyun growled from his seat, “Damn Min, you’re y when you’re mad.”

“Oh god my ears, please spare me you two.” Donghae rolled his eyes. “Anyhow, I’m bored and Hyukkie’s in this really hush-hush secretive mood and won’t tell me anything, any ideas?”

Sungmin immediately perked up at his friend’s words and as he was about to speak, his words were cut off by Kyuhyun suddenly throwing his hand over his boyfriend’s mouth.

“Nothing, we know nothing, right Min?” Kyuhyun said in a strange tone which had Donghae all the more suspicious, so they were in on it too?  What the hell was he missing out on?

After successfully prying Kyuhyun’s hand off of his mouth and getting the hint, Sungmin nodded in agreement, “What Kyu said.”

Donghae groaned out in frustration, no matter where he looked he couldn’t seem to get any answers. 

Just as he was about to ask yet another question, one of the band’s crew members signaled to Kyuhyun that it was time to for the fan meet to start.

With a nod of acknowledgement and a kiss on Sungmin’s lips, Kyuhyun got in position with the rest of the members and the four of them walked onto the platform when the curtain was lifted up.

Donghae heard Sungmin squeal in excitement next to him and he gave the latter a questioning look, which he had seemed to be giving a lot lately.

“Oh Hae you’re gonna love it!”

Donghae threw his hands up in frustration, “I give up! What the hell is going on? Is this some kind of prank because it’s not funny anymore.”

Just then the same crew member that had signaled Kyuhyun earlier had reappeared and now was motioning for Donghae to follow him.  Looking back at Sungmin with as much confusion as before, Donghae slowly started following the man.

Of course all he saw was Sungmin shooing him off with an excited look on his face. Hell he was practically jumping up and down.  Whatever this was, it had to be good to get Sungmin all worked up like that.

They walked just so that Donghae was positioned directly backstage and without another word the crew member left him alone once again.

“Before we start the Q&A portion of the fan meet, our Eunhyuk has a very important question to ask a very important person.” Heechul announced passing the mic onto the singer. 

Eunhyuk smiled and turned his head just to lock gazes with Donghae, “Yah, important person get your out here.”

Donghae looked around confused, was Eunhyuk talking to him? Well seeing no one else around he had to be.  He pointed to himself just to be sure and Eunhyuk nodded in encouragement.

With a shrug, Donghae took slow, unsteady steps and slowly walked onto the stage into the view of TRIX’s fans as well as the ever loved paparazzi. 

Eunhyuk sighed nervously, “Well I guess I’ll just get this over with.”  He turned and faced Donghae, being sure to hold a reassuring gaze.

The crowd fell silent at the singer’s next move.  Eunhyuk suddenly sunk down on one knee and pulled out a small silver ring out of his pocket.

Donghae was speechless.  Right at that moment, he had sworn the world had momentarily stopped and Donghae’s brain immediately became a jumbled mess of useless mush.

He blinked, once, twice and a third time.  Standing stuck to his spot, he tried his best to try and comprehend the circumstances at that moment.  His boyfriend and idol was proposing to him, he was getting down one knee and potentially risking his image all for him.  All the elusiveness had all made sense now, it had all led up to this moment.  Oh god, was he even breathing right now?

“Lee Donghae, I don’t give a flying about what other people think, all I know is that I love you and I’m 100% sure that I always will.  I want to be by your side forever, through all the ups and downs I want to be there for them all.  Yeah I know that these last few months have not been easy for you at all and honestly it’s not going to get easier now that I’m doing this, but I want you to know that I’ll be there by your side no matter what happens.  I’ll be there laughing when you laugh, crying when you cry and holding you whenever you fall down.  It’s been one hell of a ride but what do you say, will you continue on this crazy roller coaster called life with me?  Donghae will you marry me?”

Hearing that beautiful speech brought instant tears to Donghae’s eyes and the tears immediately blurred his vision.  He could feel his heart race a million times faster and he was still surrendered speechless.  This had to be the boldest thing that Eunhyuk had ever done and Donghae knew that the other was very aware of the repercussions that this could have but he still went ahead and did it anyway.  Yeah, this one was a keeper for sure.

At a loss for words Donghae merely nodded, but that was more than enough for the singer to spring up from his position, slip the ring on Donghae’s finger and captured his lips in a passionate kiss.

To everyone’s surprise, the entire room burst out in cheers and applause.  Even the fans were showing their support by chanting ‘Eunhae.’ 

Donghae couldn’t stop smiling/crying.   He couldn’t have been in a happier place than he was in right now, he had his boyfriend, now fiancée, his amazing friends and now the support of fans.  It had been quite an emotional ride, but in the end it was worth every bit of suffering and hardship he had to endure to get to the blissful place he was in now.  Donghae could for sure say that as of this moment, he was truly happy and whatever other obstacles would be thrown his way he could know face with confidence now that Eunhyuk would always be beside him cheering him on.

After the fan meet and the endless amount of questions from curious fans and media, Eunhyuk answering each and every one of them honestly, the band made their way backstage.

Eunhyuk stopped in his tracks to scan the room for Donghae.  He smirked when his eyes found his target pacing back and forth staring at his ring.

“Surprised?” The singer asked as he approached his fiancée.

Donghae turned to look at Eunhyuk and broke out into a smile, “Very.”

Eunhyuk smiled in response and wrapped his arms around Donghae’s waist and pulled him close.  “Well that means my plan worked then.”

He received a sweet kiss in response to which he gladly responded to.

“Hyukkie, thank you, I’m really happy.” Donghae beamed.  Eunhyuk pecked the latter once more.

“If you’re happy then I am too Hae.”

Eunhyuk lifted Donghae’s hand into view and gazed at the ring sitting proudly on his boyfriend’s ring finger. “You wear it well babe.”

“It’s breathtaking, Hyukkie you really went all out.”

“Only the best for my love.” Eunhyuk grinned cheekily.

Donghae hit the singer lightly on the chest at his cheesiness.  Eunhyuk sure was one cheesy monkey, but he was his cheesy monkey.

“I love you too Eunhyuk.” Donghae said before closing the distance between their lips once more.

“Ugh the cheese.” Sungmin wrinkled his nose at the sight of Eunhyuk and Donghae’s intimate moment.

Kyuhyun scoffed wrapping his arms around Sungmin, “Oh please Min, you’re just jealous.”

Sungmin stomped his foot in protest in a rather childish manner, “I am not!”

The pianist cocked his head and raised an eyebrow at his boyfriend’s actions.  “Oh really?”

Sungmin huffed, “I’m not!” He whined, stubbornly sticking to his story.

Kyuhyun rolled his eyes but he couldn’t help but smile slightly at his bunny’s cuteness.  Seeing his bandmate’s proposal had really made him contemplate whether it was time for him to pop the question to Sungmin as well.  There was no question, Sungmin would be the one that he was going to be with forever, but something in his gut just told him it was too soon.  Besides, he didn’t know if Sungmin was ready for such a big step, he wanted to be sure they were on the same page before taking the next big step in their relationship.  Why? Simple, because he loved Sungmin with every fiber in his body and all he wanted was the best for him.

Kyuhyun glanced down at his boyfriend once again, and not much to his surprise, he was once again zoned out into the world of Eunhyuk and Donghae.  He smirked, he had an idea.

“You know Minnie, you never know when the unexpected could happen.” He said as he started to sink down on one knee before Sungmin.

“Kyu!” Sungmin gasped when he saw what Kyuhyun was doing.  Oh, god he was going to propose too.  What perfect timing, he and Donghae could have a double wedding and it would be so perfect and-

“What? Your shoelace is united.” Kyuhyun said feigning innocence and reached out to tie Sungmin’s shoelaces.

and the year long (shouldn't have taken almost a year) fic is finally done!

I would say I feel accomplished for FINALLY finishing, but I'm not, it took way longer to finish than I had hoped and I'm sorry to everyone who waited and waited for the last chapter, and trust me i know how awful that feels T_T

SORRY AGAIN GUIES! and I hope this ending is satisfactory.

I think I'll be sticking to writing one shots for now, after I finish off Challenge, which I'm working on and I don't dare say it'll be done soon cause I don't know! T__T
