“Oh why can’t it be Sunday already?” Fynn thought to himself as he was trying to fall asleep on a Wednesday night. He and Luke agree to meet up on a Sunday afternoon since Fynn had work all days except the weekend and Luke had a few things to take care of for the store. Thoughts of Luke and what kinds of conversations they would have plagued Fynn’s mind that night which made it impossible to fall asleep. Not only that the painful bruise on his side and abdomen didn’t help either. Apparently, the chair that had fallen on Fynn in Clubkid did more damage than he first thought and never even noticed his injury until the next day after returning from Clubkid.

It wasn’t just any bruise either. It covered half of Fynn’s stomach an extended to part of his back. What the heck were those chairs made of anyway to cause such a bruise? Lead? In addition to the huge bruise, Fynn also received a few scrapes on the back of his hands. The pain didn’t bother him much though because it was all worth it to finally have a date with the princess on Sunday. Ok, it wasn’t a date, but Fynn liked to think of it that way, no matter what anyone said.

Fynn simply could not stay calm anymore and sleep continued to elude him until his body could take no more and eventually his heavy eyes closed and he fell asleep with hopeful dreams of the lovely princess.

The sun fell heavy on Fynn’s closed eyelids. The rays of light woke the boy from his slumber. The sun was up surprisingly early that day and as soon as Fynn opened his eyes he knew he had to get up, get dressed and grab his things for the trip. The kindergarden where he worked was having a two day trip to a ‘pony ranch’ as he called it and he got to come along. The idea of the trip was rather exciting because Fynn would be able to expose himself to nature, not to mention horses which he loved, while being distracted from his thoughts of Luke for a few days.

                                                                                --------------------------

The trip up to the ranch was somewhat short, but it seemed to last for ages in Fynn’s mind as he stared aimlessly at the passing by scenery. The ranch truly was a lovely sight. The trees covered the whole land and brought a sense of ease to Fynn’s erratic, troubled mind and heart.

The scenery really did help take Fynn’s mind off of things, yet he still couldn’t help but still be filled with thoughts of the princess and all of the possible places they might go to or all the possible conversations they might have on Sunday. He felt like he was going to explode from waiting any longer.

Fynn was ecstatic for Sunday to come, but he still couldn’t help but be worried about all sorts of things going wrong. It also didn’t help that a few mishaps occurred during the trip which Fynn saw as bad omens in his mind. One of the children caught a fever and had to go home early. Also the weather turned sour and went from being sunny at the beginning to rainy later on. Maybe Fynn was just being paranoid. Things happen, weather changes. It doesn’t mean something is going to go terribly wrong while on his date with the princess, right? Yes, everything was going to be fine, just fine. Fynn kept repeating those words to himself just to be sure and to reassure his worried heart.

                                                                           -------------------------------

After two days of watching over the children and taking in the scenery, Fynn finally re a Saturday evening. It was already evening which means it was practically Sunday! Fynn was really excited at this point and didn’t even know what to do with himself. He needed something to take his mind off of what was to come the next day and so, he took to tumblr to get lost in posts beyond post to lose track of time until the sun hid its presence to let the moon shine it’s light on Fynn’s face. Well that, and the light from his computer screen.

Fynn had no idea how he would be able to sleep, but he forced himself into his bed because he didn’t want to look exhausted with dark circles under his eyes when he meets the princess. Finally after a half hour or so, sleep came and took Fynn away in it’s comforting arms to a realm of dreams of the princess. Despite his excitement, it was probably one of the best nights of sleep he had ever gotten in his entire life.

                                                                              ------------------------------

Normally on a regular day, Fynn would set his alarm clock, but since it was the weekend and he wanted to waste most of the morning away to make the evening come sooner, there was no need to set the alarm clock to make him wake up early Unfortunately to Fynn’s disappointment, his body naturally woke him up early that Sunday morning. He fought with all his strength to fall back asleep, but his body simply wouldn’t let him. Fynn laid there in his bed for about 15 minutes before his stomach started to growl at him and demanded food. With swift feet, he hopped out of bed and proceeded downstairs to silence his angry belly.

The morning seemed to drag on forever, but it was finally time to head out to hop on the train which would transport himself to the awaiting princess. He still couldn’t believe that the princess arranged a coffee/tea date with him, Fynn!

Unlike the last time, this train ride lasted what seemed like only seconds and before Fynn knew it, he was only a few feet down the street away from Clubkid. The nerves were really getting to him and it felt like he could no longer breathe, let alone walk any further. He had to take a small break, yes just a breather before going any farther.

Fynn crouched down behind the side of a building for a little while to ease his troubled heart. Really at that point he wondered if he should just message Luke and call it off saying he got sick or something, despite how lame that sounded in Fynn’s mind. He then remembered his dream and the girl in the ivory dress with the blue bow in her hair. He realized he was running away again. Fynn didn’t want to be a coward, so he got up and marched down the street until he was directly in front of the store. He then marched inside the store and was welcomed by the most beautiful smile ever from the princess.

                                                                                   --------------------

Fynn and the princess talked for a while before leaving the store to go get tea and coffee. Fynn was so mesmerized by the princess that he couldn’t even tell you what the conversation was about. Something about new Underground shoes or something, he thought. They also talked quite a bit awhile they were walking, but Fynn couldn’t remember the details of that conversation either. The princess just had that kind of effect on him which made his brain go all stupid and become weak in the knees and legs.

Luke said that there was an amazing coffee shop down by the Rhine River so they would have to hop on a train to get there. Fynn didn’t mind though, he loved this feeling of being led and dragged into the princess’s own pace of doing things.

They must have taken the wrong train or gotten off at the wrong stop because somehow they had become lost. Luke was very direction turned and you could see the worry on his face and how he was sorry towards Fynn that he had gotten them lost. Fynn couldn’t help but find the princess to be utterly adorable being flustered like this though. Even though they were lost, he didn’t mind because they were lost together.

They soon walked by a small café with the sweet aroma of home cooking seeping through it’s open windows, to which Fynn’s stomach began to howl and demand food. Luke still felt really bad for getting them lost and suggested they get something to eat before trying to make their way back. Fynn’s stomach seemed like it would not be silenced unless given food, so he agreed and they went inside the little café to feed their demanding bellies.

The food was really satisfying and they were also able to ask the shop owner directions so they could find a train terminal and finally find their way back. To find the terminal, they had to go down a few blocks from the café untilled they reached a garden and then from there, the terminal would be on the east side of the garden.

When they reached the garden, they could take a cement walkway around the garden to get to the terminal, but Luke noticed a second path leading through the garden it looked like and suggested they take the garden path instead. Fynn really did love just going along with the princess’s pace. It allowed him to simply take in the princess’s beauty and perfection without having to worry about what they were going to do next, so of course Fynn agreed with Luke’s suggestion and they took the garden path. Well that and the garden looked truly lovely and mysterious in a way so Fynn really did want to take the path.

As they walked along the path, beautiful blue colored flowers greeted them and grand trees seemed to cover the two’s presence from the rest of the world. All of the scenery seemed to enhance and strengthen all of the emotions for Luke that Fynn was feeling at that moment.

Almost on instinct, Fynn pulled out his phone and took a snap shot of the princess smelling the baby-blue flowers in front of him which matched Luke’s hair perfectly. Fynn then uploaded the picture to instagram with the caption:

           “with the princess”.

Fynn wanted a picture to just prove to the world that he was there with the princess and that all that he had experienced that day was not just an illusion or dream that he would wake up from in the morning. This was real and he was loving every minute of it.

Fynn didn’t want the day together with Luke to end, but by the time they made it to the terminal, they had no choice but to give up on the coffee shop near the Rhine River because it had already gotten quite late and Fynn had work in the morning.

They said their goodbyes to each other and with a look of regret Fynn left Luke to catch his train back home. The train ride left Fynn utterly confused inside because he didn’t know how to feel at that point. He was completely happy because he got to be with the princess for the whole evening, yet he was terrified that he would never have an experience like this with Luke every again and that Luke would eventually forget him. He decided to abandon his thoughts till tomorrow when he could think about them properly with a clear and collected head.

Fynn returned home somewhat late, so he had to quickly get his things ready for tomorrow and get ready for bed, but before that, he had to check tumblr, instagram and facebook of course. It had become a habit to do so.

Fynn’s heart almost stopped when he discovered that the princess liked his picture that he had taken earlier that day and posted on instagram. Why did he use Luke’s nickname of ‘princess’? How could he forget that Luke knew about his instagram account and liked some of his other photos before? Oh god, what if Luke knew of Fynn’s feelings just because of this single picture?

In a panicked state, Fynn rushed onto facebook to see if Luke sent him any messages question the nickname.

It turns out Luke did send Fynn a facebook message which made Fynn’s veins run cold. He was terrified and didn’t want to open the message, but his fingers would not listen to his will and clicked the message open, which read as such:

“Princess?? Haha, I like it! Hey I really am sorry about today and I really do want to take you to that coffee shop near                   the river sometime. Let me know when you are free so we can go down and not get lost this time!”

Oh thank holy cheesecakes that Luke didn’t think much of Fynn’s nickname, in fact he seemed to like it! ….But wait, was Luke really inviting Fynn back for a second adventure date? Seriously!? How was Fynn this lucky? This truly can’t be happening, yet it was and Fynn couldn’t be more ecstatic about it.

Fynn quickly replied back to the message. After a few messages back and forth, they agreed on next weekend on a Saturday evening, that way they could be out a bit later and Fynn wouldn’t have to worry about being back early for work the next day. Fynn didn’t lnow how he would be able to survive the week, but he must have somehow because it was already Friday and Fynn was really to erupt from the sheer excitement and anticipation.

                                                                                 -------------------------------

Even though it had happened only two times, meeting up with the princess felt like it was almost routine at this point. The train ride and walk up to the store still made Fynn nervous and want to run away, but it was a lot easier than the first time he went to go see the princess.

Seeing the lovely princess still made ‘butterflies party in his stomach’ as he called it, and he always struggled with getting those first words of “hi” out of his mouth. He couldn’t help but become a bumbling idiot every time he saw the princess. Luke just had that kind of effect on him.

After a brief conversation, they headed out of the store to catch their train up towards the river and this time, Luke was 100% sure of where they were going and was determined not to get lost again.

The train ride was pure agony for Fynn though. It was torture to sit right ing next to Luke because Fynn just wanted to touch Luke, to hold his hand, yet he couldn’t and had to fight to keep his hands from moving by themselves.

Thank holy blueberry and raspberry cheesecakes they reached their stop before Fynn did something stupid that would make the atmosphere turn awkward. With a breath of fresh air, Fynn finally seemed to calm down and could now just enjoy his time with Luke.

They walked along the riverside a ways before reaching a pathway which was somewhat hidden because of the trees covering the entrance with their long branches. The pathway lead down one street to another, until they finally reached the coffee shop. The shop was small, but looked really nice. It was really similar looking to the coffee shop in Coffee Prince Fynn thought. It left a really nice impression on him and he couldn’t wait to try the tea inside.

Fynn was right to be excited because even though the shop was small, the beverages there were phenomenal and not to mention the little pastries that they ordered with their tea were to die for and only enhanced all the pleasant feelings inside of Fynn. The scenery outside the coffee shop, the food, the drinks, the soft romantic background music, even the lighting was intensifying the love he had for the princess and Fynn hoped the atmosphere was getting to Luke too and hopefully instill feelings of love. Whether such as thing was happening, Fynn would never know.

After their fill of tea, they left the coffee shop. Fynn thought that now that he had their tea, they would be heading back, but that was not the case. It turned out that there was also a clothing store nearby that Luke wanted to visit as well.

The clothing store was called ‘Euphoria’ ironically because that was exactly what Fynn was feeling inside. The clothing was really amazing and Fynn almost bought some himself, but he decided against the idea because he wanted to make sure he had enough money to get back home and have enough for a possible future trip back to Clubkid. Besides, he wanted to focus on the princess and what kinds of kinds of expressions he was making, what kinds of clothing he liked or what kinds of clothing made him happy or just the way Luke moved in general. Fynn wanted to soak it all in. Everything about the princess, he wanted to know every little detail, all of it. Fynn got to bask in the princess’s perfect being and got to check out some rad fashion, so the day was really turning out to be perfect.

Their date had to come to an end however. The coffee shop and clothing store were the only two places that Luke had planned to go to, so they left ‘Euphoria’ and started to make their way down the street to the train terminal that would take them back to Clubkid, when something suddenly caught Luke’s eye.

Apparently, according to Luke, the thing that caught his eye was a sign for an art museum that had newly been opened there. Luke never knew such a new building had opened and asked if they could take a detour and check it out. Of course Fynn agreed and they made their way through the clear doors before them and then into the tan colored marble building.

The museum had a large variety of sculptures and paintings, but Fynn and Luke seemed to be drawn into the abstract and impressionistic paintings the most. The colors and forms in the paintings really move their hearts, emotions, and minds. Fynn couldn’t help but stare at Luke more than the paintings though. Luke was just so much more beautiful than any painting. He seemed to be so free of worries and loved life. He was so perfect and Fynn loved how Like made him feel, yet he also hated Luke at the same time because Luke controlled how Fynn felt, how he could turn Fynn’s day bad or good with just a single glance. Fynn didn’t know if he liked the idea of being controlled by Luke like this, but he couldn’t help his feelings and desires to make Luke his.

Fynn found himself quickly restraining his hands from grabbing Luke and embracing him. No, not yet. Fynn didn’t want to ruin what he had worked so hard to establish with Luke just yet. No, his heart could not take the consequences of his actions yet. Not yet, not now.

After finally an hour or so, Fynn and Luke left the museum. By that time the sun had already started setting and the sky was painted with beautiful colors of soft pinks, vibrant yellow-oranges and contrasting dark shades of lavender and blues that seemed to swirl and mix together. It was almost as if they never left the museum and were still looking at a magnificent painting.

There were two paths that they could take to get to the train terminal. One path was shorter, but the longer path ran along the riverside and this time Fynn actually was the first to suggest they take the river path. The river path was just so much more beautifully romantic and Fynn wanted to continue these romantic feelings that were running through his veins that much longer.  Thankfully Luke agreed and they started down the path.

Why was everything turning so mantic and lovey-dovey all the sudden? The sky was incredible and the street lights showered Luke’s face with soft light, making him that much more beautiful in Fynn’s eye. Fynn was going to explode! He wanted to just touch the princess’s face so badly. He wanted everything. He wanted Luke now.

They stopped for a moment along the path to gaze at the river for a bit and with the last bit of restraint in his body, Fynn took out his phone to quickly write a facebook message to one of his friends whom knew about his feelings for the princess. He just needed something, some kind of way to let out his emotions, otherwise he feared he would do something he would regret later. He hastily typed the message.

“I don’t know what to do anymore. I love the princess so much, I want him to be mine already. I want to touch him, to kiss him, to become his everything. I just want my heart to be filled with nothing but the princess.”

-Send

Sending the message seemed to relieve some of Fynn’s anxiety and he could finally restrain himself again from doing anything irrational.

Luke and Fynn continued on the path and finally reached the terminal and took the train back to Clubkid.

Saying goodbye to Luke was truly heartbreaking and Fynn didn’t want to leave, yet he knew that his body wouldn’t be able to take much more of his intense feelings so he forced his feet to move and started heading down to the train station to head back home.

The train ride was very long and made Fynn feel so empty inside, but he knew it was for the best. He didn’t want to shove his feelings onto Luke and ruin what he had now. Besides there was no way Luke would return those feelings back , Fynn thought. Luke was so perfect in every way. Far too perfect for Fynn. Yes, this was for the best.

When Fynn got home and entered his room, he threw his bag on the floor and collapsed on his bed, falling face first into his pillow. Pillows were so soft, yet why was it not providing any comfort to him? Probably because he had to leave the princess there and there was no way Fynn could make Luke his, he figured. As depressing thoughts clouded his mind, Fynn then remembered the message he had send earlier. He was curious what his friend had replied back.

He didn’t feel like getting up to check the message on his computer so he simply whipped out his phone out of his pocket instead and opened up facebook. Sure enough there was a little red notification of a reply. But wait….the message wasn’t from Fynn’s friend. It was a message from Luke. What could have Luke messaged Fynn about? And so soon too! What Luke wrote truly shocked Fynn however.

“Do you really feel that way about me? Should I become your princess then?”

….What? What was Luke even taking about? Become your princess, wha-…………OH GOD.

It finally hit Fynn. The message he sent earlier. He must have accidentally have sent it to Luke by mistake!!

As soon as Fynn realized what had happened, he was so shocked and dumbfounded that he threw his phone out his hand without thinking.

That was a really dumb move because his phone flew against the wall and the corner of the phone broke into a few pieces. The screen shattered as well. Fynn was too much in shock to really absorb what just happened to his phone though.

No, this can’t be. Maybe Fynn could just play it off as the message being about something different or that it was meant for someone else, but none of that seemed like it would work. Luke knew about his nickname of ‘princess’ and it was quite clear in Fynn’s message that he was talking about his feelings for Luke. There was no way Fynn could brush it off. Luke knew.

The current relationship Fynn worked so hard to achieve was now broken. Surely there was no way Fynn could go back to where it was and connect the pieces back together. There was no hope, and Fynn did not know what to do anymore. Just like his phone lying on the ground, Fynn’s world had shattered.

Chapter 6: perfect, just perfect
