“We need to wait for the model that will replacing Bo Mi place. Just what is wrong with her? Didn’t she know that you too have a packed schedule. Now I need to rearrange everything!”

“It’s alright. I already expecting this would happened. Didn’t you was her fan hyung?”

“I am! But when in come with worked, I have to forget that I was her fan.”Jeong Min said before he goes out of the room to make some call. Tao dialed So Ra number.

“Huaaa Tao! It’s a relief that you called me! What should I do now?!”So Ra said with sobbing tone. She might be already crying there.

“Calm down now noona. What she do to you now?”

“She IS weird! When I said that the both of you will having a photo shoot today, she screaming like a crazy person saying to turn around! Of course I said no to her! I never knew she will be this determined to run away from me! She opened the door suddenly and ran away. Did she ever won in Olympics anyway? She ran too fast that I couldn’t catch up her. I lost my breath because of it!”

Tao just laughed when So Ra told the real situation. How childish she were! Did she think she will be married for real today that she ran away from him?

“Noona, why don’t you just get back and report it to your boss first? After I finished my job here, I will looked for her.”

“Thanks Tao. You are my only hope now. Gave me a call when you found her.” So Ra said with a weak voice. Tao hang up the call.

“Now now where have you gone now Bo Mi? You always bring trouble for the other people.”

“Yah! You must buy the dinner tonight if I reached there first! No breaking promised allowed!” Bo Mi said.

“Did you think I was a good liar? I’m afraid you the one who will be crying at the end. No regret allowed here!” Lu Han replied.

After she ran away from So Ra, coincidently Lu Han called her a few minute after that, inviting her to go played snow with him. Its good planned for her to hide from So Ra anyway so she just agreed to it right away. Rather than just ‘playing snow like a kid’, there were currently having some fun time skiing and snow boarding from the highest slope at Pocheon, Gyeonggi-do, Bears Town Resort. When they were ready to start their ‘mini race’ they wore their goggle and in their starting position.

“Line number one! Yoon Bo Mi!” Lu Han announced with loud and clear voice. Bo Mi just followed his joke and waved happily, blow a kiss at everybody around them when not even one of them cared about their presence there.

“Line number two! Xi Lu Han, representative from China. Tall man and have a dashing face. But I’m sorry everybody, I already own by one lady named Meng Ji Ah!”

Bo Mi laughed at him but suddenly she stopped when she realized that…

“Yah! Why your introduction were much longer than mine?! This isn’t fair! You should flattering me by saying I was a top actress or maybe beautiful lady or etc etc etc”

“Why should I? I confident enough that I’m going to win this game Yoon Bo Mi ssi. Just prepared some money to feed my stomach tonight! I want the top quality steak okey?”

“Are looking down on me? Fine! I’ll show you the real Yoon Bo Mi! Isn’t you called me the ice girl? You are in trouble here cause snow is my friend! They will gave me the super strength to beat you!”confidently she show off in front of Lu Han.

As she was busy asking ‘strength’ from the snow, sneakily Lu Han started first before she was ready to slide down. She was already a further apart when she realized Lu Han no longer by her side.

“Xi Lu Han! You cheater! I killed you for sure!”

“You still not done with your sulking Bo Mi?”

Bo Mi just looked around the snow white ground, ignoring Lu Han who was sat next to her on the cable car. Lu Han winning was an injustice for her! Cheater is a cheater! And she hate it very much. Worsening the situation is when Lu Han keep bragging he the one who reached at the end of the slope first, won’t to lose in Bo Mi hands.

“Aigoo you are so childish!”

Purposely he messing with Bo Mi hair. In instant Bo Mi shoved his hand away from her.

“Yah! Don’t mess up with my hair! Every day I took about an hour to get done my hair okey?!”she fixed her hair while rolling her hazel eyes, crossing her arms against her chest. Lu Han just mimicking the way she was mumbling just now. Then, he put his hand into his jumper pocket and took out a small box. Bo Mi took a peek from the end point of her eyes, wondering what inside the box.

“I’m going to purpose Ji Ah tonight.”

When she heard that, Bo Mi coughing because receiving too much shocked. She can’t believed with what Lu Han just confess. That was a bad idea in Bo Mi opinion! There is no way Ji Ah will say ‘I Do’ that easily.

“You really think it’s going to work?”

“You should gave me a supportive words rather than asking me like that!”

“Sorry. My mistake.”

They fall into silent. Only the sound of the wind can be heard and the laughing voices of people who played on the snow.

“You must think I was in rushed right.” Lu Han said breaking the ice between them. Bo Mi just nodded slowly.

“I’m going back to China soon. At least this time I want to bring her meet my mother. Not just as my girlfriend, but my wife.”

Bo Mi were delighted for Lu Han. But then she sighed.

“Lucky Ji Ah. I didn’t meant to let you down but…what will you do if she didn’t ready for it? Are you going to wait for her for another 5 years?”

For the first time, Bo Mi saw Lu Han glassy eyes but still he can keep smiling. Did she was too straight forward? When she was about to apologize, Lu Han cut her.

“I’m really done with her if she says no. I think I will eventually come to my limit soon. If that happened, why don’t just you the one who married me? I REALLY like you!”

“The most bad joke I ever heard from you Lu Han!”she nudged his elbow. Both of them burst into laughing and have a nice conversation for the whole day there, forgetting all their problem. Not until that night…

That night…

Both Lu Han and Bo Mi was having their dinner in the resort restaurant. Eating scrumptious grill steak and a glass of red wine. More important for Lu Han was Bo Mi the one who pay for their dinner! Thought that might be their last time together, it’s not gonna hurt her treating him for dinner.

“Having fun together?”one hoarse voice approached Bo Mi from behind. Knowing trouble already coming, she put down her fork and knife and wiping with the white napkin.

“Ji Ah..”Lu Han said. He already incoherent because she might take it wrong between Bo Mi and him. Bo Mi stopped him from leaving his seat while giving a hand gesture signing that she will be the one explaining it to Ji Ah.

As she turned around, she found that Ji Ah was not alone by herself. Tao was there right beside her but he said no word, just stared at Bo Mi blankly. And so Bo Mi. She lost her word when she found that Tao standing there.  Ji Ah narrowing her eyes while looking at both of them.

“Huh..Huang Zi Tao. They were having an affair behind our back when we were so much busy in Seoul. Look at them having fun here. Did you have a nice time here with Lu Han? How shameful. Is one man didn’t enough for you?”

“Ji Ah! That was over the line!”Lu Han scolding Ji Ah.

“I was rude? Then what about her?  What about you? How lowly you are Bo Mi! Even my boyfriend you want all by yourself!”she pushed Bo Mi shoulder, making Bo Mi lost her balance for a bit.

“It’s not what you think. I’m the one who asked his out first, so just put the blamed on me. I will accept it.”calmly she replied to Ji Ah while enduring her tempest.

Ji Ah bit her red lips. That’s not the expression she expected from Bo Mi. Usually she will just shouted at her without thinking twice anymore. When Ji Ah was about to slap her face, Lu Han get a grip on her wrist first.

“That’s enough Ji Ah! It wasn’t her fault, I’m the one who asked her out first.”Lu Han said.

When Bo Mi wanted to defend Lu Han, out of sudden Tao hold her hand pulling her near to him.

“Don’t make this go worse any further, let’s just go back already.”Tao took her handbag on the chair, slightly bow to Lu Han and Ji Ah, and take his leave with Bo Mi. Bo Mi just followed him obediently and get out from there.

“You can let go of my hand now Xi Lu Han!”harshly she pulled her hand away from Lu Han grip.

“That was very rude of you saying about Bo Mi like that!”

“Oh! Now you are protecting her? I’m just saying the truth! What? Did you fall in love with her?” she says sarcastically.

“Then what about you? Did you still hoping for Tao? Did you still love him? I’m not that blind Ji Ah!”

“If I said I do love him what will you say? Know your position Xi Lu Han. You are not in the same level as me! Nothing good came up from you.”

Lu Han closed his eyes trying to calm his anger down. Never in his life he ever got into fight with Ji Ah.

“You don’t need to remind me that I was an illegitimate child. 5 years have pass Ji Ah. Why can’t you just forget about him and just look at me? Only me who standing here next to you! Why can’t you see me?!”Lu Han grab both of her arm and pulled her more nearer to him to the point Ji Ah could hear his breath. Ji Ah looked deep inside his eyes.

“Because my heart were only for him. The more he make the line between me and him, the more I want to break it and reach for him. It just because of that night that make us together, I was just playing around with you but you the one who take it so serious! Leaving me with no choice but accepted you when you too know how much I love him whole heartedly.”

Lu Han released Ji Ah and clapped his hand on his face. He was smiling but the crystal clear water keep flowing on his cheek. Ji Ah turned her vision away from him.

“That remind me Ji Ah the reason why you be with me. I was drunk that night and accidently I confessed that you already became my girlfriend in front of the other friend. I know you were very startled when I said broke out our secret with Tao was right there. How fool I was right? I want you so much that it fine by me if you just play around with me. But you didn’t even asked for a break up but instead you just date me for 5 years. I said to myself that ‘Maybe she already start to love you’ or ‘in the end she acknowledge your existance’. But I was too fool and have been lied for 5 years.”

“I never lied to you! You the one who willing to!”

“Then what about the time we spend together?! Didn’t your heart even moved an inch for me?! I’m begging for your love this whole time!”Lu Han was in fire this time.

“Then don’t begged anymore. Let’s end this sorrow. We break up now. I too was tired of this” Heartlessly she said the killing words.

“Alright. Let’s just end this. Where we would go with this relationship right? It takes us nowhere.”

Before Lu Han leave Ji Ah, slowly he held her hand and placed the small box on her palm.

“You have been asking this for ages. Thank you for the ‘love’ you gave to me this whole time.”

Without turning back or even bother to take one last glance on her, Lu Han keep his pace continued until he was vanished from her sight. Ji Ah can’t hold on her tears anymore as she opened the box. Her leg become weak and she fell on the earth.

“Why are you still this nice to me Lu Han? I should have let you go from the first place.”she held tight the ring that was supposed to be the ring that connected them forever….

“Get in the car Bo Mi. I’m not in the mood to fight with you. So Ra will come pick you up shortly. She was on her way.”Tao instructed her. Without making a fuss, she just followed Tao’s order and get herself into his luxurious car. He switched on the music and rest his head on the head rest of the seat.

“Aren’t you going to ask me why I ran away this morning?”asked Bo Mi.

“Should I know anything?”

Bo Mi just shook her head. Weird. Ji Ah almost started a war just now but Tao was far more relaxed than she expected.

“Did you angry with me?”

“I’m not. It’s your own problem Bo Mi.”

Another short replied from him. Bo Mi become clueless with him in the car. Did he really tired or he pretended not to see anything? To break the silence, Bo Mi started to sing the untitled song. Hearing the song make Tao to open his eyes wide and awake.

“That weird song again.”

“Did you like it?”

“It was too weird for me to say I like it. What was its title Bo Mi?”

“I have no idea. Se Kyung unnie used to sing this a long time ago. It calmed me down. Like a lullaby that bring me to sleep.”

Tao just nodded.

“You know right that we will faking this until one year?”

“Yeah I know. Boss told me last time. He said ‘just keep up with his behavior for only a year at very least!”

Tao giggled when he heard how Bo Mi tried to mimic her boss voiced.

“Dating for real…did it never crossed your mind?”

“I’m no longer that old Yoon Bo Mi. You won’t mind about it?”

“I like the old and the new you. I’m being serious here. Let’s us date for real. Who knows you might fall for me?”

Before she could gave her answer, someone suddenly knocking the window. So Ra was there happy to see Bo Mi was safe and sound. Bo Mi opened the door and hugged So Ra tightly.

“I’m sorry making you worried unnie.”

“It’s okey Bo Mi! As long as you are safe is good enough for me. Let’s go back now”

Tao get out from the car and pressed his body against the car. So Ra says her goodbye to Tao and Tao slightly put his hand up as he understood it. So Ra slides the van door opened for Bo Mi.

“Unnie, you get in first. I have something to talk with Tao for a moment.”

“Don’t take much time okey?”

Bo Mi just nodded and ran back to Tao.

“Did you forgetting something?”

“Nope! I’m just came back to give you my answer!”

She stand on her toes and gave a peck on Tao’s cheek.

“Just a trial! Not the real one!”

After that she just ran back to So Ra and got into the van. Tao touched his cheek at the place where she give a kiss and grinned.

“Acting innocent huh? I’ll make sure you will be the one wanting me next time.”
