“Huang Zi Tao, I’m already bored now. Guess I want to take some fresh air outside.”

Bo Mi whispering to Tao who was busy talking with some-unknown-rich man. She felt that she only an ornament, just standing still near Tao wherever he goes in the hall, just smiled to an unknown person that talking with Tao. What she going to say when they were only talking about business, business and business.

“Excuse me for a moment..”

He then turned his body to faced Bo Mi who keep pulling his blazer, asking for his attention.

“What did you want Bo Mi? Don’t you see I’m in the middle of conversation?”

“I know but I’m dying of boring here. Can’t you just let me go now? I just going to take some air at the pool side.”

After thinking deeply about her wish, Tao just nodded although he doesn’t want Bo Mi to be apart from him there. He his blazer and put it nicely on Bo Mi shoulder.

“It’s kinda of cold outside there. This will warm you up. I’ll give you a call when its gonna to start okey? Make sure you come in when I called you!”

“Geez I got it Panda. Just go and continue what you are doing.”

She then walked out from the hall and went to the pool side. She hold a glass of wine in her hand. She take a sip of it as she walked near the pool.

“Hurm? There is someone there?”

She notice someone was sitting on the bench near the swimming pool, alone. He wearing a white suit and the man just staring at the pool, blankly.

“Excuse me sir, what are you doing here alone?”

The man turned his face to see who was talking to him. To Bo Mi surprise, that lonely man she saw was someone she know.

“Lu Han, why are you just sitting here alone? I thought you didn’t come here. Well since Ji Ah not here too.”

“Did I need a reason like that to attend? Since you already here, why don’t you accompany this lonely man here? I need to talk with someone.”

Lu Han make pity face like a puppy asking for symphaty. Bo Mi just chuckling seeing he make a cute face. She then sit near to Lu Han and she put her drink on the small table there.

“But my counseling is a ‘little’ bit expensive. Think you can afford it?”

“I still have some money left with me. Don’t look down on me!”

“Yah! I’m just kidding. Don’t take it too serious Xi Lu Han.”

But then the surrounding turned to silent. They can only hear the music playing melodiously from the ballroom. Bo Mi don’t know what to say to Lu Han. He seems very troubled and sadness clearly reflected on his face.

“Did you need to say something to me Lu Han? I’m here to listen to your problem.”

Lu Han just grin a little. He give a sighed and he start to let out all of his problem.

“The thing is..the reason I come here is to make a face-to-face with Ji Ah’s mother. I would like to tell her about my feeling toward her daughter. How much I love her. How much she was precious to me. I was very determined at first, but like you can see now, I’m cowardly staying here alone. Not able to let out just one word nor see her.”

“Then, why don’t I accompany you to meet her. I just meet her just now. I think you need someone to be by your side when you talked to her.”

Lu Han just laughed when Bo Mi give out her not-so-brilliant idea that absolutely not going to help him after all.

“Do you think by doing that will make me overcome my nervousness? You just going to make me more tremble there.”

“Hehe. Sorry. I think I really do have a stupid brain.”

Lu Han then lean his body against the bench and glancing at the wide dark sky. He stretch out his hand on the air  and moving it like he was trying to catch even just one star. Bo Mi scrutinize his face.

“He really have a baby faced. Really my type.”

“Ehem! Are you daydreaming now Bo Mi? Did my face really attractive to you?”

Blood drained from her face. She was too ashamed to get caught staring at him. But then Bo Mi have one question that keep bugging in her mind.

“I’m sorry to ask you, but why did you really afraid to Madam Wang? Is she that scary? From my view point, she was nicer than Ji Ah. And she seem didn’t know about you and her. Saying to Tao that she going to introduce Ji Ah to some of her friend son”

“Really? She still doing like that? Where should I start my story eh?”

“It’s okey if you didn’t want to let me know!”Bo Mi say to Lu Han, guessing that Lu Han might be burden with her question.

“Since you are really cute and pretty tonight I guess I tell you my friend. I think most of it because of my background.”

“Background? Isn’t you too come from a very rich family?”

“I am. But I will never get to inherit any property from my father. Just get to be one of my father family is good enough for me!”

Bo Mi was in confusion with what he talked about. If he was his father son, of course he was one of his family.

“I...I don’t get it Lu Han..”

“Then I just get crystal clear with you. I’m just a child born from my father's mistress. I’m just one of my father mistake.”

He still smiling eventhough there is nothing to be happy with.

“Nobody born because of mistake. It just maybe it was your destiny.”Bo Mi tried to comfort him.

“That is the truth Bo Mi. I’ve seen my mother pleading to my father to take me in. She was sick that time. We are so poor. She working so hard just to make sure I can keep continue studying in the best school. I met Ji Ah and Tao when we were in elementary school. Lucky me to have a nice step mother that is my father’s wife. She the one who persuade my father to take me into their big house. Automatically I have one big brother and a little cute sister! All of them accept as I were, but not my father.”.

Still he gave Bo Mi a very pleasant smile. He was strong a man.

“Since I’m just an unwanted son, there is no way I could be together with Ji Ah. Sometimes I thought to just end this ridiculous relationship that take me nowhere. I become an author just to make a fantasy to cheer up all the children out there. I don’t want them to be like me who just know despair and sadness in my childhood days.”

Bo Mi lose a word to say after hear out his past. She too was in the same place like him. Become teribble and unwanted child 4 years ago. To her, Lu Han was an impressive man she ever met. Able to let go the pain in his past life. Not like her who was still haunted by what had happened.

“Do you think I should just keep this story of me and Ji Ah? Should I continue?”

“I know you really love her. You should fighting for your love Lu Han! I will be your forever supporter!”Bo Mi say enthusiastically.

“But I’m afraid..I’m afraid to lose her. But in the same time, my condition never let me to have her by myself.”

Bo Mi feel wistful toward him. She then patting his brown hair gently. Trying to give him her strength, just like what he had done to her last time. He lend his broad shoulder to her cry out her pained.

“Xi Lu Han, I wish to the star up there, that soon you will find your own happiness where nobody couldn’t even interrupt the fantasy you wish for. Keep strong boy!”

Lu Han then smile a little. He then hold Bo Mi hand that keep patting his head.

“Your hand were cold. Let me warm it. It my fault that you keep being here for a long time.”

Lu Han hold both of Bo Mi hand into his hand and he blow his breath to make Bo Mi hand more warmer. Indeed it was warm for Bo Mi.

“Ji Ah, even you are really a devil brat, but you are so lucky to have such gentleman like Lu Han.”Bo Mi say to herself, praising Lu Han.

“Here I give you this since you get cold so easily.”

He remove his grey muffler scarf from his neck and wrap it around Bo Mi’s neck.

“You look beautiful with it. Then just consider this as my present for you.”

“No no I can’t this is…”

Before Bo Mi could finish her line, Lu Han put his finger on Bo Mi red lip, stopping her from continue what she want to say.

“Just take it. Present for our relationship.”

Lu Han give a broad smile to Bo Mi. seeing his smiling was the warmest for Bo Mi although it was really chilled outside there. Bo Mi then just nodded as a sign of acceptance. Suddenly, her phone rang.

“Bo Mi, where are you? The ceremony already start. Hurry up and come here.”

Just by hearing Tao voice, Bo Mi could only feel the coldness rather than warm.

“I got it! I will be there in 5 minute!”roughly she hang up the phone.

“Tao called for you?”Lu Han asked her.

“Ah yes..I think I will be going now. Should we go together?”

“No. you could just go first by yourself. Bidding is not my things. Then hurry up and go! He must be waiting for you!”

Bo Mi then just bow slightly to him and make her way back to the hall. After a few step, she turned her head to take a last glance at Lu Han. He was staring to the sky again. She then continue her way and leave Lu Han there alone.

“Ji Ah..what else should I do to make you mine? I couldn’t get out from my trash destiny. I couldn’t get out from the fact that I was born out of mistake. Mom in heaven, show me a way for me to be with her. I couldn’t bear to lose her. Not her.”

Lu Han was talking to himself and the tears that he keep holding on start to flow on his cheek.

“Yah! Where the hell have you been this whole time?”

Bo Mi just ignored him and take her seat. It’s very difficult for her to find Tao because the whole hall was dark when she arrived because all the light just focusing on the stage.

“You are late. The bidding already start long ago you know!”

“Like I care Panda! It’s not like I’m going to participate in this insane occasion! Just a waste of money!”she scold to Tao. Tao was taken aback by her voice. It’s a good thing that time the MC was busy with the bidding and the other people was totally immersed with the collection that was currently show on the stage.

“You don’t have to shout that loud to me Yoon Bo Mi!”

Bo Mi make an annoying face and she turned her head away. She rather to look at the stage rather than looking at Tao face.

“Then, the Titanic Heart of the Ocean Diamond goes to bidder number 9 with the highest bidding price total of 20 million dollar!”

When the bidder just said the amount, Bo Mi was shocked. She couldn’t believe what she hear. 20 million dollar just for a one mare necklace! All the people already clapping their hand to bidder number 9 who sat just a stone throw from Bo Mi. Bo Mi still look at her unbelievable!

“How could she throw away that much amount of money just for a single necklace!”

When she was looking at the fat women, she notice that there is one girl sat next to the ‘insane’ lady keep gazing at Tao.

“She must be really like him. Hehe how about I make her jealous.”

She then cling her hand to Tao arm and touched his face, making him to face her purposely. The girl of course stare at them with deathly aura. When she notice that Bo Mi too looking at her, she turned her face away from Bo Mi.

“What are you doing Bo Mi? Did you need more fresh air now?”

“No nothing. It’s fun to act like this!”she then released her hand  from him.

“Tell me what so special about that 20 million worth necklace? Seem very normal for me.”

Tao then chuckle when Bo Mi asked a question like that.

“Don’t you watch Titanic? That necklace was the original necklace from that movie. I’m sorry I couldn’t afford that thing!”

Bo Mi jaw wide opened. The real necklace from Titanic?! And it’s just right in front of her now!

“Yah yah! Close your mouth Bo Mi. It already belong to other people!”

Bo Mi just can see the box containing that rare necklace goes to that fat lady. How she wish she was that rich! She then just look down, disappointed.

“We will continue our bidding with the last jewelry collection.”the host announce.

Then, there were one women pushing one small table to the center of the stage so all of the audience could see it.

“We present to you the limited edition from Tiffany&Co, the Diamond Pendant! With a ornate pattern 19^th-century garden gates beautify with center stone that’s 41.4 carats, we will start the bidding with the smallest amount of $2.5 million!”

That’s it! Bo Mi can’t take of her eyes from that necklace especially it was made by Tiffany&Co that she adored all this time. Tao who see the way she gaze at it, obviously she loved that necklace in first sight.

“You can used my number to bid for that. Who know you are the lucky one. You have tons of money right? It’s not that you are so penniless.”

She was hesitated at first, but second by second the price keep raising and raising. She closed her eyes not to look at it, or else she will be more attracted to it.

“The highest price for now is $5 million, did anyone want to bid it more higher?”

Bo Mi was in cofussion. She can’t let that necklace go to anyone else. Automatically she take Tao’s number board and raised it.

“Yes participant number 18?”the host already pointing her hand to Bo Mi. She already clenched her hand in fist, afraid if she really make a wise choice.

“$5.5 million!”

She already says it. Rather than happy, she feel like she was in vain. Her account could be zero if there is someone else who bid more higher than that. Tao who was sat next to her just giggling by himself.

“That really weak of you Bo Mi!”Tao keep laughing at Bo Mi expression. He hid his laughing face from Bo Mi by using both of his hand to close his face. But a few second after that, there was someone who raised their number.

“Yes number 9!”

“$6 million!”It was the girl that Bo Mi just saw, who tried to take a peek at Tao face. She was getting her revenge by defeat Bo Mi in bidding. Bo Mi who feel like she was being challenged by that brat, quickly she raised the board again.

“$6.7 million!”she said in loud voice while staring at the girl. This time she was really confident.

“$7 million!”the girl replied calmly. Trying to beat Bo Mi’s price.

“$8 million!”

Tao who hear she bid more higher and higher become worried about her. How could she have that much amount of money. He grab Bo Mi wrist to make she sat down.

“Yah Angry Bird! This is no joke. Did you really have that much of money to pay? Please endure yourself.”

“I still have that much of money okey? I think I have about $10 million in my account from all my hard work in these 3 years!”

Tao have no word to say if she said like that. What he know that she must be responsible with what she say.

“$10 million!”the girl keep raising the price making Bo Mi go restless.

“10 million? I can’t afford that much.I will be homeless if I say more than that.”

Bo Mi just stood still and hold tightly the number. She can’t go over than that. That amount of price was too much for her. She have to accept her defeat now. She then just put the number back on the table.

“Isn’t there anyone here who want to bid more than 10 million?”

That girl already satisfied now. She can feel her victory over Bo Mi.

“Bidding one!”the host already counting. If there is no one who want to beat the highest price until she say ‘Bidding three’, that necklace will be own by that girl.

“Did you really want it Yoon Yoon? I could…”Tao hold her hand that was still clenching because of sadness and anger. She always hold her tear like that.

“Bidding Two.”

“No forget it Tao. I don’t want to be in your debt. I don’t like it that way. I’m not that rich to go beyond 10 million.”she pushed his hand away from her and prepare herself to see that necklace to go to that little annoying brat.

“And bidding…”

“20 million!”

Tao raised his number before the host could finish her line. All the audience stare at him in disbelief. 20 million is a little too much for just a small necklace from Tiffany&Co. It become as worthy as the Titanic necklace! The girl can’t say no more. Her mother already asking for her to give up on the necklace. Slowly she just sat down and drank a glass of water.

“Panda! That was too much!”Bo Mi already pulling his hand, asking for him to take back what he said. But still he refused and the host keep counting.

“And bidding three! Diamond Pendant goes to bidder number 18!”

It’s the end. Bo Mi already paralyzed. She need to pay Tao 20 million just because of that single thing!
