Is he just playing with me?

Mission Like A Forbidden Love.

Seul Hyo’s POV

After the  “kiss thingy” that happened in the library a while ago, both Yoseob and I started walking from the school to my house. While we were on our way to my home, it was quite awkward, both of us weren’t talking to each other. That kiss thingy probably the reason, I guess?

“Yoseob.” The distance between my house and school was quite long, so I managed to start off the conversation. I couldn’t take this awkward moment anymore.

Since Yoseob was just 2 or 3 inches taller than me, he just looked down at me with a questioning face. “Uh- Nothing.” I stooped my head down as I pouted and shook my head, train of thoughts had been screwing up my mind.

“Are you tired? I can see it through your face.” Yoseob then gently patted my hair while grinning at me. That smile.. I hate seeing that in his face, it makes me fall in love with him MORE.

From what I know, this is only just an infatuation, I have no idea if I am ing in love with him or what.

“A bit.” Slowly nodding my head, I simply answered him while releasing a deep sigh. We stopped walking for a while, then I saw him making his way in front of me. A couple of seconds later, I saw him kneel on the ground and his back facing me.

“You’re tired, right? Here, my back is ready.” My face was like turning red upon seeing his sudden action. Seriously, who would think that this stunning guy in front of me is a gentleman?

I’m heavy.” I said as he stood up as I finished riding on his back. This thing is called piggy-back ride, right? I wrapped my arms around his neck as I rested my chin on his right shoulder.

“I know.”

“Ya! Yang Yoseob! I’m not that heavy!”

“But you told me that you’re heavy, right baby?” He shot me a glare innocently before showing me an evil smirk. The time he looked at me was the I was staring at him too.

SO IT MEANS, OUR LIPS ALMOST CRASHED AGAINST EACH OTHER.. AGAIN.

“Fine, you win.” I frowned and pouted, ugh, he always won against me. But every time we fight as if we’re cats and dogs, I couldn’t help but to blush a little.

“Kwahaha, my baby is so cranky today. Oh, PMS-ing much?” Yoseob, why are you like this to me? Even the word PMS is in your vocabulary? This guy, who was trying to stop his laugh, had been driving me crazy.

“GAY.” I just mumbled underneath my breathe but yet, he still heard me. This guy is so different. I thought he would howl at me, or just release of his hold onto me so I could fell off, but he didn’t.

I thought I pissed him off by telling him the word GAY, know what he did? He just shot me a glare and winked at me, which caused us to laugh at the same time.

* * * * *

I couldn’t believe that I reached home at 7:00 PM, I don’t usually go home late, just now. Well, I still had fun with Yoseob even though he kept saying that I’m PMS-ing, its not even true, OK.

Why did you go home late you stupid lady!” I almost jumped in surprise as I heard my stepfather blurt out that sentence. I looked at him with fierce eyes, he was drinking wines again while my mother was serving him foods.

“I was in big trouble. Mom, stop serving him.” After looking at my stepfather, my eyes immediately looked onto my mother. She then quickly put down all the foods to the table and walked away.

“What the are you doing Seul Hyo! You don’t have the rights to stop your mother from serving me!” My stepfather, whose blood was boiling again, stood up from his chair and then kicked all the wines to get those out of his way. MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY.

My mother isn’t your servitor, so shut up.” I simply answered as I slammed my bag to my right side. I was kinda tired so I had no enough time to fool with his hostile words.

“Watch your mouth stupid! You don’t know the person in front of you!” I was about to leave him but he pushed me against the wall. My mom, who was preparing dinner for me, suddenly released of the plate she was holding.

S-stop.. I--I can’t..” He was gradually making his grip into my neck tighter, I couldn’t breathe. My mother wanted to help me out but I just motioned her to go away.

“You can’t breathe? I could do worse things than this.” He tightened his grip onto my neck, causing me to have a hard time to catch my breathe. I didn’t want to give up, I still have dreams for my mother.

“You stupid girl, I’m still not over with you! I can kill you anytime.” Finally, he let go of his grip onto my neck, and I ended up coughing and crying because of the huge trepidation in me.

I remember the thing he did to me a while ago. When he pushed me against the wall, the impact of being pushed made a loud  “bang!” noise - IT HURT MY BACK.

Author’s POV

Seul Hyo cried the whole night, penting up herself alone in her room. She couldn’t get over with the undesirable circumstance that happened lately, it had become one of her phobias.

The next day, in their campus, Seul Hyo went to school with her swollen eyes, the reason why students had ganged up on her again. Still, she just stooped her head down, trying not to see the deadly glares and laughs of the students at her.

“Handkerchief?” Seul Hyo jumped in surprise as Yoseob appeared from somewhere, making him look like a creeper to Seul Hyo.

“No thanks.” The younger girl refused while shaking her head vigorously, signaling the guy that she was about to leave.

“You need to stop crying, come here.” Yoseob then chased her and then pulled her into him as he held Seul Hyo’s chin up. His left hand with a handkerchief made its way to Seul Hyo’s face to wipe off the tears.

You have got something to see, baby.”

“Huh?”

Seul Hyo had got no idea or clue about what Yoseob was saying, she didn’t know that her problem hadn’t stopped. Seul Hyo and Yoseob walked together until they reached the certain place Yoseob was talking about.

Seul Hyo’s eyes widened as she saw the message written in the bulletin board:

“Kim Seul Hyo, you are suspended for a week due to violating the rules last night. The thing you did last night was recorded by the CCTV Camera, you wil be back after a week. - Principal Lim.”

Seul Hyo couldn’t help but to burst in tears, plus, the students were all laughing and snickering at her face. Yoseob was about to enter the principal’s office but Seul Hyo stopped him.

Making their way out of the crowded area, Yoseob gave the snickering students with a shut-up-or-else-you-all-are-dead face. “Meet me at the Lotte World later, 6:00 PM.” Yoseob uttered as he motioned Seul Hyo to get inside his car.

“Why?”

Because I wanna be with you longer! 1 week is too long for me.” Yoseob, who was pouting in frustration, started the engine of his car and drove. An evil smirked formed at the edge of Seul Hyo’s lips as she heard Yoseob’s answer.

You’ll miss me?” Seul Hyo mocked Yoseob while fairly blowing Yoseob’s arm with her clenched fist. “1 week is just short. But you won’t see me.” Seul Hyo let out a deep sigh while wiping off the tears in her cheeks.

“YOU GOT IT!” Yoseob just gave her a thumbs up for guessing it correctly.

* * * * *

Seul Hyo arrived at the Lotte World at exact 6:00 PM, but unfortunately, she didn’t see Yoseob’s appearance in the certain place. Realizing that she was pretty early to come, she just decided to stroll around the place.

She saw lots of kids playing around with their parents. It made her miss her father. She glanced at her watch: 6:45 PM. She sighed in vexation, but still, she didn’t let it win against her.

She just kept on gazing at her watch.

7:15 PM:

Still no Yoseob’s appearance.

8:00 PM:

Still no Yoseob’s appearance.

8:30 PM:

Still no Yoseob’s appearance.

Hours had passed by, Yoseob hadn’t arrived, Seul Hyo frowned in frustration, knowing that Yoseob wouldn’t come anymore, and he had forgotten about her. Seul Hyo’s eyes get widened as she saw Lee KiSeop going towards her.

“Hi, Ms. Kim. I’m sorry.” Lee KiSeop suddenly kneeled down in front of Seul Hyo as he showed her a bunch a flower with a sorry written on it, showing a candid apology from him.

“For what?” Seul Hyo asked with a questioning look, she then accepted the flower that KiSeop offered. “For the undesirable thing I did a few days ago.” There was an empty seat next to Seul Hyo’s chair, so KiSeop grabbed the opportunity to sit next to her.

“Oh? That? Thats nothing, I didn’t get mad at you.” Seul Hyo mumbled as she looked at KiSeop with a meek face. She then looked around, trying to find a Yoseob’s wisp of appearance.

“Why? Are you looking for someone, Seul Hyo?”

“Actually, yes but I think that person will not come anymore.” Seul Hyo, who was playing with the petals of the flowers, released a deep sigh as she remembered Yoseob again.

“So it means you’ve been waiting here for hours? Aish, what the hell.” KiSeop blurted out as his eyes widened in surprise, knowing that Seul Hyo had waited in that place for 3 or more hours.

“Lets just ignore that, come, lets stroll around.” Seul Hyo stood up and invited KiSeop come with her, she smiled sweetly at him, causing KiSeop to giggle because of it. Before strolling, a thought popped in in Seul Hyo’s mind.

“Yoseob didn’t come.. Is he just playing with me?” Seul Hyo thought.

KiSeop and Seul Hyo walked around Lotte World, laughing and enjoying every moment. Somehow, KiSeop did loosen the depression of Seul Hyo, he made her happy the whole night.

But they didn’t know, Yoseob was watching them stealthily.

Chapter 9: It would've turned out to be a great story if you continue it. The last chapter did leave us hanging. This is one of those original works that I enjoy reading. Since you've lost your touch for writing this fic, it has to be discontinued. I understand.

There's got to be a reason why Yoseob didn't arrive on time to meet Seulhyo for their date in the amusement park. When he didn't make any sudden movements to give away his position, it sounded like he's aware that something bad is going to happen. If not, he just got there late because he got held up. A good development between Yoseob and Seulhyo would've happened as they become close.

No problem! It's good that you find my feedback to be encouraging and helpful. That's actually what I'm going for in giving reviews.

Not all readers/subscribers comment. Some of them just sit back and enjoy the story without ever commenting. This shouldn't discourage you from writing, though. However, it'd be nice to get some comments from the readers to let the author know that his/her work is appreciated. I'm one of those who are open about expressing thoughts and opinions about the story after reading it.

I'm already used to Yoseob as the lead guy in this fic. I don't mind it staying just the way it is now. When you get around to using the new characters that you have in mind to replace the current ones, I'll learn to get used to the change. I look forward to seeing the continuation of this fic.

It doesn't seem likely that Yoseob had planned for Kiseop to show up at the scene in his place since he's not willing to associate with him after seeing what he'd done to her a few days ago. At least Kiseop's doing one nice thing for Seulhyo to make up for his misconduct. To hide in the shadows without being seen, he is doing his job of looking out for her in case something bad happens.

You've ended chapter six nicely with a cliffhanger to leave the readers looking forward to more of the story to come.

In the first couple chapters, it sounds awkward in some sentences with the misusage of certain words. There's this one sentence in chapter one where "penetration" is not the right term to refer to a payment or an amount of money on hand the one gets on a regular basis. In Seulhyo's case, it's proper to refer to it as an "allowance." When you're not sure about the meaning of a word, it's best to look it up in the dictionary. Even I use it sometimes whenever I come across a word that doesn't sound familiar to me while I read.

The way that he reacted upon seeing her excited response at seeing Jaejoong's ab flash shows that he's jealous of him--wishing that she'd only look at him and no other guy. Although she had to get Sulli to leave Yoseob alone since she's his date, it's a possibility that she's jealous inside if she's starting to develop feelings for him at this point without being aware of it. Yoseob is sweet to be there for her in her time of need. The courageous act he did that night to fend off Joon without getting harmed himself is impressive. He is well-trained for his role to pull that off. It's interesting that Yoseob can go from being a comic relief to a focused, serious person and vice versa. Kiseop is supportive to help Seulhyo out whenever she's injured throughout the years. For him to do that to his long-time best friend on the spot from harboring feelings of love for her all these years, Kiseop must be overwhelmed emotions that he couldn't think properly. He does feel enraged inside at seeing her together with Yoseob. It must be hard for you to portray Yoseob as a fierce person because of his cute, childlike, perky appearance. That doesn't make him someone to be taken seriously. This seems to be what you're mainly showing to the readers about his character--like his playfulness and winks directed toward Seulhyo. Infatuation is the proper term to describe the sensation that Seulhyo was experiencing as soon as she set her eyes on Kikwang. Jealousy is obviously what Yoseob was experiencing from seeing their exchange. It's not as strong compared to what she feels toward Yoseob whenever she's near him. It seemed that Kikwang was testing Yoseob to see whether he feels strongly about Seulhyo. When Yoseob didn't show up for their date at Lotte World, it makes me wonder what kept him busy. Kiseop might have overheard Yoseob making plans with Seulhyo in the school hallway to know where to find her. That's one possibility that is plausible.

I just found this fic by clicking on "Random Story." It sounds interesting from what I read in the forewords. So, I decided to check it out. Because of the obstacles that stand in their way, it'd be challenging for Seulhyo and Yoseob to maintain a deep, intimate relationship with each other. Though, Yoseob is the one who has most of the pressure working as a secret agent and is not allowed to fall in love with the person he's helping on his mission. The conflict of this story seems to be the characters versus society hence the "forbidden love" thing. On Yoseob's part, family is also an issue. Having no choice in the matter to get out of being betrothed to Suzy in an arranged marriage seems to be too much for him that he decided to run away from home to escape his family's pressures. If they're concerned that he's not around at home anymore, they'd think to look for him. There might be a possibility of Yoseob seeing them and Suzy later. Seulhyo also has a family issue revolving around her cruel, money-obsessed stepfather. This is a bad environment to be living in. We'll see how Yoseob will get her out of this one.

At first impression, Suzy seems to be like one of those typical spoiled, arrogant rich kids. Yoseob must prefer to not marry without love, so he resorted to run away from home. Since his heart is not in it, there's no point of him sticking around to go through with it. Their encounter in the school hallway is one unexpected surprise. It's not as though Yoseob intended to steal a kiss from her since it's apparently an accident. The sight of him swiping his tongue over his lips muse be enticing enough to get her mind to wander where it shouldn't be. xD Yoseob must want Seulhyo to remember him by labeling himself under her list of contacts as "My First Kiss." He was behaving like a child when he cried over his broken cellphone accessory.
