The Taste of Chocolate Bubble Tea
The Taste of Tea
Chocolate was my ultimate comfort food. When I’m depressed, I eat chocolate. When I’m happy, I eat chocolate. Chocolate was something I could eat the whole day and still crave for more the next.
Now, imagine my glee when it also came in bubble tea form. Two of my favorite things combined: it was genius! Chocolate bubble tea was what I liked to call “a little piece of heaven on earth.”
It was sweet and creamy, not like green tea.

It was one of those days that I found myself with Noona at the tea store near the dorm. I don’t know why Noona keeps on dragging me here—she hated this place. I didn’t complain, though, because I loved bubble tea.
“Noona,” I said, slowly exchanging her cup with mine. “You always order green tea, why don’t you try my chocolate bubble tea for once?” I offered. “You like chocolate, too, right?”
She pursed her lips. “Well, yes, I do, but I don’t like bubble tea, Se Hun.”
“Please, Noona?” I mumbled with a tilt of my head.
I smiled the second she grasped my cup.
It was just a tiny sip, her lips barely touching my straw before she handed the drink to me.
“It’s not…bad,” she mumbled, taking her cup of green tea.
I didn’t think chocolate bubble tea would get sweeter than it already was.
