Coming Home With You

An Angel's Promise To The Sky

SORA and the rest of the WGM crew ended their shoot at Leeteuk's high school Alma Mater. It took them all night to finish a whole episode and the crew are busy packing things up now while Leeteuk and Sora headed for the van to go home.

"Sora-ssi..." Leeteuk started loud enough for the crew to hear her name called and then he grinned before continuing, "Do you want to grab some dinner before heading home or maybe a cup of coffee perhaps?" Leeteuk asked just like what casual friends do after a long day's work,

Sora just nodded. She and Leeteuk thanked the whole crew for the work and walked towards the car parked in front of the school. Leeteuk let her seat on the passenger side while he rushed to the driver's seat.

"You really worked hard today, princess. Aren't you tired?" Leeteuk asked while starting the car and turning the heater on,

"Aniyo, oppa. I'm not." Sora smiled when she replied to him, "I really enjoyed our shoot today. I didn't know that you were such a dork when you were in high school, no wonder you almost shouted at your sonsaengnim for him not to show your graduation annual picture."

"Yeah, I don't want you to see the dorky side that I had before 'coz I'm not as cool as I am now." Leeteuk replied and grinned to her, "But you, yeobo did made me proud when you played the piano for me. You play better than I am and I'll give you credit for that." he said and peck a kiss on Sora's cheek,

"You really liked what we did today, oppa? Did you enjoy what I prepared for you?" Sora asked while looking at Leeteuk with her puppy-dog stare,

"Ne, now I realized that we really fit well together, Princess. We can both do the same things." Leeteuk said and smiled at Sora, "We can play together like kids and don't care about anything. I also notice that whatever we do, we compliment each other. Do you get what I mean?" Leeteuk asked her,

"Like doing something that the other is thinking, oppa?" Sora asked in return, "I noticed that too. I guess that's what were going to be, huh? Just being natural and be together." Sora commented and grinned at Leeteuk,

"And from now on, I'm going to remind myself to watch out whenever you bring something big with you just like what you did back there." Leeteuk said, remembering the big bag that Sora was carrying with her the whole time they were filming.

Leeteuk drove to a cozy restaurant and spent some hours there for their dinner before heading home. It's a Saturday night and Sora decided to invite Leeteuk to go back to their parents house together and spend the night with their family,

"Is this what you always do every weekend, Princess?" Leeteuk asked, "You should tell me so that we can go home together. It will be nice to go home every once and awhile."

"How can I do that though? If you are not having KTR with Eunhyuk oppa, you are busy with your tour with the SuJu oppas." Sora said, "I don't want you to change your schedule for that. I know that you still make time to go home no matter how busy you are." she continued and bowed her head down,

"Aigoo-ya, my princess understands my work really well now." Leeteuk said and smiled, feeling really happy on how Sora understands his situation now, he lifts up her head by her chin and gave her a kiss, "I will come home with you tonight and spend the night with omma and appa. Thank you for understanding, yeobo. Saranghae."

When they came to a stop in front of the Park's home, Leeteuk invited Sora to come and see Jiyeon to spend time with her sister, "I'm sure that Jiyeon will be really excited to see you again." Leeteuk said to Sora while carrying their bags for the two of them, "Ommoni expects you to come home every weekend, right? I already called her and told that you are staying here at home with Jiyeon, so you don't have to rush."

"We're home!" Leeteuk said aloud as they both entered the Park's home and they saw Jiyeon and his parents sitting by the living room talking with someone whose back is facing them,

"Omo! Are we having a visitor, omma?" Leeteuk asked after seeing someone sitting beside Jiyeon, "Sora is here too, Jiyeon. I know that you haven't seen each other for awhile so I brought her with me."

"O-oppa ... eonnie ... uhh..." Jiyeon uttered, Leeteuk can see that his sister seem to be a little nervous,

"JIyeon-ah? Gwenchanayo? Is there something wrong?" Leeteuk asked, only to be answered by a woman's voice greeting him,

"Annyeong haseyo, Leeteuk oppa." the woman in front of them turned and smiled at him, it was Taeyeon, "Aren't you happy to see me? I came to visit the family tonight. They invited me to have dinner here, too." she said and smiled at the dumbfounded Leeteuk and Sora.

Sora automatically tugged Leeteuk's shirt and hid half of her body at his back and biting her lower lip while looking at Taeyeon, "Oh, its Sora-ssi, how are you my lovely dongsaeng?" Taeyeon greeted in a mocking tone,

"Why are you here, Taeyeon? What do you need from my family?" Leeteuk asked seriously with a straight expression, "I don't remember inviting you either, so I can't say you are welcome here."

"YAH! Jungsoo-ya, is that how you talk to your girlfriend?!" They all heard someone shouted at Leeteuk by the kitchen door, when Leeteuk looked up, he saw his noona, In Young standing there with her hands placed on both of her waist, "Is that what you get from Super Junior? Being mean to girls?"

"I-In Young noona? What are you doing here? When did you come back?" Leeteuk uttered while looking at his noona right in front of him,

"I just came back this morning for a vacation. Then I saw Taeyeon in a store at Lotte Department Store and we chatted a little. I then decided to invite her here for old time's sake and you, Park Jungsoo became so mean!" In Young said while pointing a finger on Leeteuk's face,

"Mean? I was not mean to anyone though. What are you talking about?" Leeteuk asked and knotted his forehead,

"Then what do you call on the behavior you showed Taeyeon-ah just now, huh, Park Jungsoo?" In Young retorted back,

"Oh, my attitude towards Taeyeon-ssi? That doesn't matter, noona. I always act like this whenever she's around. I know she knows pretty well why." Leeteuk answered and held Sora's hand tightly, "Noona, do you remember Sora? Jiyeon's bestfriend?" Leeteuk then asked,

"No, I don't know her and I don't have an intention to know her either." In Young coldly answers Leeteuk,

"Jinjja? Well eventhough you are not interested, I'll tell you anyway." Leeteuk shrugged his shoulders and placed his arm on Sora's shoulder, "This girl right here is our Jiyeon's bestfriend and she also happens to be my anae." Leeteuk then said and gave Sora a kiss on her cheek,

"No, Jungsoo! I won't allow that at all. I won't accept any girl other than Taeyeon! Remember that!"

The Fading of Bright Stars

In the years we shared work spaces, seldom did our hours crossed. She worked night shifts, while I move around across different time zones to meet the demands of my profession. She was a luminary; a survivor of countless excisions when the demands of work is lesser than what is required of human resources. And if not for the months-long infirmity last year, she would have endured the most recent culling. She became part of the statistics, only to return when a colleague flew abroad to get married and live with her fiancé.

A fine lady in her early 30's, one would easily mistake her for an East Asian. Her eyes disappear when she smiles, and her porcelain skin is the envy of many. Her gauntly frame, albeit a cause of concern, hardly bothers any. Colleagues would tell she eats nothing but Chippy and Coke. But who are we to forbid her of such pleasures? She delivers, and for all we care, satisfied are we of her job performance.

Talk is an avocation the two of us hardly engage. Reason lies in office hierarchy, but more so, because we respect each other's solitary leanings. But this doesn't mean ambivalence, or hidden disdain. Words may have never articulated what my thoughts were, but I've always regarded her in high esteem.
