Kwon Yuri, a very smart but pretty girl, though she's like that, a lot of other students doesn't get along with her since she's... quite a nerd. Everybody thought that she only spend her time on studying and staying in the library, but little did they know, she has a lot of hidden talents   "Another day in school" Yuri mumbled as she swung her bag on her shoulder and held some of her other book   "Yuri, you should go now. You don't want to get late right?" her mother said   "Yes umma. Good bye" Yuri gave a peck on her mother's cheek and left.   Yuri was taking her walk to her school. She's a 4th year high school student in Seoul University. She has her glasses, her hair is tied into a pony tail and other things that really gives a nerdy look. At 8:30am she arrived at her school building, the other students gave her a disgusted look and others started to whisper things again about her   "Hi Yuri" her only friend in the school, Jessica greeted   "Hi Jess, how's the morning?"    "Fine, and I'm not sure yours aren't"   Jessica is just a normal student. Not a nerd nor a popular one, just a normal student. She became Yuri's friend from the very first day in school Yuri had, she just saw how others hated her   "You know Yuri, I think we should hang out some more. Let's go to the mall tomorrow since it's Saturday. I'll get you new clothes and have some make overs so that those brats and smelly guys won't bully you anymore"   "Jessica, I told you I don't need any change in me. You might regret it if I changed not just in appearance but also in attitude"   "Just take a try...please?" Jessica used aegyo   "No" Yuri replied short   "Please Yuri? Just one time? Belated birthday gift for me? I still remember that you didn't show up on my birthday party at home because you have to take care of your youngest sis for auntie. And I kinda hate you for that. You could've just brought your lil sis" Jessica frowned   ^^Jessica calls Yuri's mom, auntie^^   Yuri thought for a while -nice going Sica. You won this time-   "Okay", Jessica started smiling "But, just this time. Never again, I'm just giving you your belated gift"   "Yey, yes I promise. Thank you bestie!!" Jessica hugged her friend tightly.   They both arrived at their classroom and sat on their own seats. They had another small chat before their class adviser arrives   "Yuri, one favor again please?"   "What is it this time? We have a quiz later I have to study"   "Oh come on, I know you've been studying for the quiz yesterday until 8pm. I know you'll also get perfect, in fact you always get perfect... I just want to make the make over at your house, on Monday. Yes, you'll get here in school with whatever I'll put on your face"   "Jessica, yes I told you a make over only. But I don't mean I'll use it up to  here in the school"   Jessica whined, "Yuri, look at yourself! You have the looks, you're taller than me, smart and y. What more to look for if they have you. Please? Please Yuri, I'm begging you. Please just prove them that you're pretty even just once in you 4th year life"   Again, Yuri sighed in defeat, "What time will you come over?" Yuri closed her eyes as she facepalm herself   "Yey!" Jessica wrapped Yuri again with a hug "7 o' clock sharp"   "I don't want to be late Jessica. Be sure to wake up earlier. I know you're a heavy sleeper"   "I will, just for you Yuri. Thank you sooooooo much. I love you, you're the best"   "Ok ok I know. You may stop now, teacher is here" Yuri pushed Jessica slightly away to stop the latter from hugging her which Jessica did   The class went on swiftly. 2 subjects at the first set and their first break finally came   "Ohh my gosh! He's at the canteen again!!" one of their classmates suddenly came running to the canteen to see her “dream boy”    "I guess he's going to make another chaos" Yuri said   "Yuri, don't you really find him handsome? I mean, he's the top one most wanted to be their boyfriend in the campus"   "I do in some other ways. He's just boastful and all"   "I guess, but I know he's also kind and nice"    "Jessica, everybody's conclusion to a person without really knowing them so much is 'they're kind and nice'. Everybody says that two words to almost everyone, or even a stranger"   "Well, I know but most of the time, nice and kind really is a person's attitude", Yuri just sighed   Jessica and Yuri proceeded into the canteen and look for a seat. There near a table where there are a lot of girls crowding over they found a table where they can occupy. Just as they were about to sit down, a group of 4 girls slid theirselves and sat on their place.   "Yah we came here first!" Jessica exclaimed   "There's a lot of other tables Jessica, let's just look for another" Yuri said as she was about to turn around and leave that table, but Jessica held her wrist and stopped her   "No Yuri, we came here first and they should be the one looking for another sit"    Jessica and Yuri were already attracting attentions from the other students. Even the crowding girls stopped and turned their heads to their direction   "I'm sorry blondie. Just look for some other tables out there. But I'm sure you're really fitted near the trash bin" her group laughed   "Know right Sooyoung. Especially that nerdy friend she has"   "Yah! Just who you are to step onto other students?! You're no good in this school!" Jessica shouted in anger   Just when Sooyoung's group could answer back again, a manly voice stopped them   "Stop it" he calmly said, "Choi Sooyoung, I think it would be really good if you and your group would be the one to look for the vacant tables"   "Yunho oppa" was the only thing Sooyoung's group could say   "You may move now" Yunho kept his poker face Sooyoung's group quickly moved out of the way and Yuri and Jessica took over the table   "Thank you Yunho" Jessica and Yuri bowed. Yunho kept quiet and returned his headphones back to his ears and walked off without even replying. The girls that kept on following him, as usual followed him   "Did you just see how he managed to get rid of them in just words?"    "I don't like the way he speaks to them. It's not so polite. He didn't even bother to at least say “you're welcome”"   "Aish Kwon Yuri, did you just heard a while ago what they said about you? It's just right for him to treat them like that. And yet you kept to be calm and nice. Just look how martyr like you are. And don't also bother to receive a reply from him"   "I don't really care, Jessica. I'm used to it. Besides, you don't have to shout and yell at them when there are a lot of tables out there. You just wasted your time with those guys"   "I really don't understand you, Kwon Yuri. Don't understand you sometimes" Jessica took a bite of her sandwich   Their break time became really quiet, not like the past times when they kept on chatting and laughing at some reasons. They now felt like their break was taking so long and they decided to go to their classroom earlier than the others   "Yuri, I have to understand this part" Jessica tugged Yuri's uniform   "You're only studying now? What to expect?" Yuri explained everything that has to be explained to Jessica. The latter kept on nodding as she slowly get what Yuri meant   "Get all of it? You better be because if you didn't pass, I'll change my mind and decline your make over offer"   "Awww ok. I'll pass it for you" Jessica smiled and turned her attention to their literature book. Minutes later their physics teacher came. 40 minutes had passed and their next subject teacher came in   "I'll really pass this Kwon Yuri. See for yourself later" Jessica smirked   "Be sure" Yuri smirked back   Literature class started and after some short recall of their past lesson, they started their short quiz. After some few minutes taken, the teacher told his students to exchange papers and they will check it. The teacher enumerated each number's question and answer twice   "So what's my score?" Jessica asked.   Yuri gave Jessica a poker face "You failed" she said   "What?! Oh no" Jessica looked so sad, "Are you sure Yul?"   "You failed to fail. You got 16 over 20. Not bad" Yuri smiled   "Jinjja?! Kyaaa yey I'll do a makeover!!"   "Ok you got it. Good job"   Literature ended and another set of subjects came. There came Math, History and Language. Jessica had vocal class while Yuri's staying in the library for her club   Another day ended and Yuri went to her locker to put in some of her things. Just as she opened her locker, she saw a paper   "Meet me at the Music room. I'll be waiting until 4:30? Just who wrote this? Ahh Jessica" Yuri mumbled as she read the piece of paper.   She looked at her wristwatch "4:20, ok still got 10 minutes" Yuri made her way to the Music room where their musical instruments were kept. It's not really a good place to talk or meet and it's really dusty that's why Yuri was really confused why at all places in the campus why the dusty old music room? She entered the music room and looked for the person who made the letter   -great, a prank?-   "Hello?" She didn't get any response But, she heard a noise. It's coming from the acoustic guitar that was located at the back most part of the room   "Who are you?" Yuri asked, she can't see the person playing it since he's facing back   -this isn't Jessica-   "I'm glad you came" a familiar voice said. He turned around and faced Yuri   "Oh Yunho" Yuri bowed   "What are you doing here?"   "I gave you the letter" Yunho replied   "Ohh uhh why did you want to uhh talk to me? Or is there anything you wanted to give me?"   "I wanted to say you're welcome for a while ago. I know I didn't act so good in front of you and your friend for not saying anything in return"   "Ohh that's ok. Thank you again. But, you shouldn't have done that. I can handle Jessica anyway, eventhough she's really stubborn"   "It's ok. Sooyoung has been really a bully to you since then"   "You knew? How?"   "Hu-huh? Err do you know how to play any instruments?" Yunho changed the topic   -is this really Yunho? I think the Yunho I knew is cool, bad looking and hunk-   "Ye-yes. I know how to play a piano and a few violin"   "Really? Could you give me some examples, if you don't mind?" Yuri nodded. She sat on the chair that was in front of the electrical piano and played a tune of some English modern songs    "That's Just the Way You Are by Bruno Mars" Yunho smiled as he recognized the song   "Why did you let me play instruments? Urmm is saying you're welcome the reason for calling me here?"   "Y-yes sorry if I called you for not so important"   Yuri nodded "Ani, it's ok. I'll be going then" Yuri turned around, ready to leave but before she could hold the knob, she felt a hand that stopped her from doing so   "Wait..."   "Why?" Yuri looked back   "I, please uhh do me a last favor" Yunho looked nervous   "Sure what is it?"   "Please do stay here for a little bit and open the cabinet after I go out"   "Uhh okay?" Yunho nodded. He went out of the room and sped off leaving Yuri completely confused   "Why does he want me to stay here and open the cabinet when he's gone?" Yuri asked herself as she make her way to the cabinet that was in the very back of the room   "What's with this cabinet?" she opened the cabinet, and there she saw a small box that was tied with a ribbon with another paper. Yuri took the box and untied the ribbon carefully. She opened the box and a beautiful thing caught her eyes. It's a heart necklace, it was broken into 2   "This is a couple necklace. Why does he want to give it to me?"she asked herself. Then she noticed a writing on the lid from the inside   -I know you're completely confused now. The reason why I'm giving this to you is because... I've been crushing on you since I first laid my eyes on you. I don't care if you don't like me, Yuri, I just wanted you to know what I feel that was kept here inside of me. And I wanted to shout it out loud, but, if ever you also feel the same way for me, please, give me the other half... I'll be waiting... I know im not being myself right now. But this is the real me, so bear with it :P-   And there the letter ended. Yuri doesn't know how to react right now. The cool and handsome Yunho he knew was then totally inloved with her, a nerd.   -is this really happening or just a silly dream? Please wake me up if it is. What should I do know?- Yuri kept on asking herself.   She held the two necklace up and looked at it. The necklace really looked good and expensive. It was nicely shaped and was a total silver.   -Well, the truth is, im having this feelings for you too- Yuri confessed indirectly -when will I ever tell you this feeling?- Yuri then decided to keep both of the necklace and put it back in the box where it belong. She put the box inside her bag and headed home with a smile on her face.   -I guess I shall tell Jessica about this soon. I don't want her to get mad and all to me just because I kept some secrets to her-   "Hi umma. I'm home" Yuri kissed her mother   "Yul, you look happy today huh. What happened?" Yuri's mom asked nicely with a smile on her face   "Nothing umma. I just felt like being happy today" Yuri replied.   She brought her things inside her room and changed her uniform into clothes. She laid down on her bed, staring at the ceiling   "Yunho oppa, you gotta prove it before I give you the other half. I'm not very easy to get"   Just then a thought came to her. -But I'm a nerd to remember. It's impossible for him to like me. Maybe he's just playing a prank on me. This is really impossible, don't get hurt Yuri-ah if this ended up in laughter and embarrassment-   Yuri closed her eyes to think about it again and again, until she fell into a deep slumber                                                             。。。   Yuri woke up from her sleep and did her daily habit. It's Saturday, no classes but have a schedule. Jessica's plan for Yuri for short.  She came down to eat her breakfast with her family. They had some short bonding by just watching movies and did some chat. Just like a happy family.   Now Yuri was upstairs. She's staring at her reflection through the mirror and took off her glasses. Jessica's voice rang on Yuri's mind again       "Am I pretty?" she looked at herself in the mirror once more, then she smiled "I do somehow" she chuckled.   She stood up from her chair and went to pick some clothes to wear. Since Jessica said she'll be here before 4 in the afternoon Yuri didn't took much time in picking up the right thing to wear   "Jessica will be here soon. And she doesn't want to be kept waiting, or else she'll unleash HellSica" Yuri mumbles to herself, choosing clothes to wear   "Ahh this one" Yuri held the only dress she have. Her red mini dress that was just above her knees that exposed more of her long tanned legs   "We'll buy clothes anyway, I can change it" She wore that mini dress and went down to wait for Jessica   "Umma, I'll be going out with Jessica for a while. Is it okay for you?"   "Yes of course. Just be home before dinner Yuri" her mother replied   "Neh, gamsahamnida umma" Yuri smiled.   A few minutes later, a doorbell was heard. It was Jessica. Yuri came out and greeted her friend   "Woah, is that you Yuri?"   "Uhh yes? Who else?"   "Geez never seen you wear dresses. Good, I'll treat you few dress and some makeups. Oh a contact lense too so that you won't have to use your nerdy glasses at school. Oh and remove that glasses too now" Jessica snatched Yuri's glasses   "Hey Sica, give it to me back. How will I see things clearly?"    "No" Jessica inserted it inside her LV. "I know you can at least see the way where you're taking. Don't worry, I'll always cling on to you" Jessica held Yuri's arm and pulled her inside her car   "Bye umma!" Yuri shouted before Jessica could successfully push her in the passengers seat   "Sheez Sic, careful. I don't have my glasses ya' know. " Yuri fixed herself as she waited for Jessica to enter the driver's seat   "Ok ok. Now our first stop is to buy you a graded contact lens so you won't have to-"   "Ok ok you already said that moments ago. No need to repeat, just drive, please" Yuri interrupted. Jessica rolled her eyes and stepped on the pad. The trip was again quiet and awkward. No exchange of conversations. Yuri's attention was outside the window, observing everything they passed through, while Jessica kept her focus on the road.  Just after some minutes, they had arrived Coex mall. Jessica quickly pulled Yuri along with her just as Yuri stepped out of the car.   "Ya Sica, wait up. Slow down!" Yuri tried to tell her friend who was still dragging her.   Just then she stopped "Thank goodness. You almost bump onto others here" Yuri panted   "I don't care about them. They don't care anyway when they step onto my toenails and suffer pain" Jessica almost exaggerated   "Way too exag. Now, why did we stop in the middle of the crowded people?"   "Let's get your eye checked and get you the contact lenses" Again, Jessica dragged Yuri in and had Yuri checked up with the optometrist.  After some check up and look with Yuri's eyes. The doctor gave Yuri the needed grade for her contact lense which Jessica told Yuri to use it already   "Jessica, I think this is too expensive" Yuri said while she's holding the case for the contact lense.   "Don't worry about it. My parents knew EVERYTHING I plan to buy this day and they don't actually care even if I spent 1 million for you. They know you're my bestie and they know what will happen if they don't allow me to treat you things, Yuwree"   "You're such a bad girl, Jessica. You won't spend over 1 million for me right?"   "I will, if it's needed" Jessica stuck out her tongue while Yuri got her jaw dropped   "Enough with the chat. Try it on now so we'll see if it fits you" Yuri rolled her eyes just because her friend was being so pushy. She held on to the contact carefully and inserted it in her eyes. She took some blinks and felt comfortable   "Now, I see more clearly" Yuri turned to Jessica.   "Wow Yul! You look really pretty!" Jessica hopped   "You got a nice eyes! Geez Yuri, every boys in the campus would die for you"   "You're exaggerating again, Sica. No one would ever do that. I know my nerdy image was still all over the school. Nobody can erase that"   "Just wait" Jessica grinned. "We'll take this. We just need the case and things for cleansing. Is it ok if we use it now? My friend's glass was broken" the clerk nodded.   The guy behind the counter gave the things Jessica bought and Jessica gave it to Yuri.  "Now that's all what you need. You have to take care of that Yul or else I'll get mad at you. Clean it before you put it in the case"   "Yes I will Jessica Jung. I know how to take care of things especially when it came from a special person" Yuri nodded   "Good" Jessica again entertwined her arms with Yuri.   "Next, we buy you clothes and some make ups!!" Jessica started to walk fast again, Yuri AGAIN can't do anything but to groan every time    "We should buy you more dress and some girly stuffs" Jessica kept on giving Yuri the clothes that catched her attention and put it in front of the latter, seeing if it fits her body and color.  Jessica picked this and that, color yellow and flowery designs, bling blings and bracelets, headbands and sun glasses. They ended up spending more than expected.   "This is really too much Jessica. Come on, I look like a child here with a rich mother that kept on buying sooo much things for her" Yuri pouted   "I told you, don't mind the expenses. I got it all and I won't and NEVER will ask for any money in return"   "Jessica, your make over will only last for a whole day. Those dress, I can't even wear them in the campus since we're using uniforms. And lots of make ups, well I don't put those things. If I do, just light things"   "It's ok. I'm sure you can use this in other events. Those dress, it's not like those formal dresses so you may use it in times like this or when you have a...date" . Yuri sighed   "Ooooook" Yuri forced a smile.   "We're done with you. Let's now take something in our stomach. You look really tired in there. A pretty person shouldn't be left with sufferring" Jessica smiled   "Ohh great, I think you just noticed huh?" Yuri replied sarcastically.   Jessica giggled "Sorry, just give some to me and we'll eat as many as we want"   Yuri gave the other half of the paper bags she's holding to Jessica and continued walking. They ended up in an Italian restaurant.   "Why are we here?" Yuri asked   "Well what do we do in a restaurant? Course we eat. I miss foreign foods too you know" Jessica stated the obvious. Yuri frowned a bit. She's not used to eat in any foreign restaurant. She doesn't even like some of its dishes and just stick with other Korean resto   "Come on Yul, just sit and I'll order for you. There's a lot of good foods here. I recommend you of course the spaghetti. Some drumsticks, hmm pizza? Just some burgers and sandwiches...without cucumbers" Jessica gave a disgusted look upon mentioning that last word. She held on to Yuri's hand and pulled her down to sit.   Their menu was already taken and had to wait for 20 minutes. Jessica already gave Yuri some idea of how Yuri will look on Monday. "I think a little curl with your hair looks good. Of course you're already wearing the contacts. I'll put in some light makeups. Light colored lipstick. I don't want you to look like those brats with red lipsticks and heavy makeup and dark eye shadows. Eyeliners and all"   "Just make sure that it will only take one day. And also, after the classes I'll remove all of it". Jessica nodded   "Oh here's the food! Hmm smells good!" Jessica clasped her hand as she saw the light foods they ordered. Club sandwich for Yuri, and burger for Jessica. They also have pizza and spaghetti in each plate.   "Bon apetite" The chef said before he made his way back to the kitchen.   "You may start eating now Yul. We may go home after this if you want. Should we do anything else after this?" Jessica took a bite of her cucumber-less burger   "Anything you want to do. Just please, no dragging and pulling. Ok?"   "Sure. Anything ok?"   "Urmm yeah? No trouble bringing things too."    "Ok" Jessica smiled widely.   They all finished their food, including the regular sized pizza and spaghetti. Their stomach surely is full now.  They stayed for a while in their sits and talk a little. After feeling more light, they took small walks in the mall.  Jessica bought lot of things. Teddy bears, shoes, bags, clothes, gadgets and everything she thought of buying.   "You sure have a lot of money. How much do you have in your pocket?"   "Naww it's all credit card.
