Song For Chapter: Haru Haru By Big Bang

GUESS WHAT!!!!????? I just noticed I made Dongho, Jae In,
Suzy, and Soohyun all the same age, 17, but at the same
time senior... which doesn’t make sense... sorry for my
stupidity. Forgive me please.

*****Jae In POV*****

When I got home it was already dark. I saw the next door
grandma out.

“Uh! Grandma, why are you out?” I ask her.

“You’re late.” she said as she starts to go into her room.

“Sorry, I had something to do.” I say.

“No need, you’re old enough now. You’re off to college, oh
I remember when I first met you. You were just twelve, so
little. You’ve grown so big.”

“Grandma!”

“Did you eat dinner?”

“Yes, but I’m tired. I’m going to sleep early.”

“Okay sweetie.”

“Grandma... just in case, if anyone comes and looks for
me, tell them I moved that you don’t know where I would
be.Okay?”

“Sure. Is anything wrong?”

“No. But I’m going to move out tomorrow.”

“I already knew you would leave some day. Go on an sleep.”

“Goodnight.” I say as I walk into my room. I sat by the
door. I was really tired but I knew I wouldn’t be able to
sleep tonight.

*****Dongho POV*****

It was almost dark when I walked into my house.

“I’m home.” I yelled out. My mother walks up, she has a
smile like any day.

“How was your date with Jae In?” she says like she knows
nothing.

“Stop acting,mom. You are insane you know that. She’s my
girlfriend, you have no right to tell her what to do.” I
yell at her.

“Honey, your father is home. Lower your voice. Let’s talk
in your room.” she dragged me upstairs.

“Why did you do it?” I asked when my mother closed the
door.

“So she really did it.” she says as she smile.

“What is so important to you that you had to give her
money and house?”

“I want you to have the perfect life son.”

“It’s my life. I control it not you.”

“Besides, she never liked you. If she did really like you
then she wouldn’t have said she will without taking the
money or the house.” My eyes grew big. I was so mad
because she took the money and she didn’t. I felt like a
.

“She didn’t take money or the house? She just agreed to do
so?”

“Yes. She just agreed to what I said.”

“What did you say to her? What did she agree to?”

“I told her she was ruining your life. That you don’t need
a stupid gangster girl like her in your life.”

“I can’t believe you. Are you sure you are my mother?”

“I did it because I’m your mom sweetie. I want you to have
a great life.” she sad as she took a step towards me. I
took a step back. I hated her too much this moment to care
if it was mean or not.

“Sure.” I said as I ran out the door. I had to see Jae In.
If I didn’t I might regret it for the rest of my life. It
was dark but I ran all the way to her house. I knocked on
her door.

“Jae In ah! Open the door! I need to talk to you!” I yell
out. The next door grandma came out.

“She’s not here. She moved out couple of days ago.” she
said in a low voice.

“No. It’s not true. Jae In ah! Open the door!”

“Stop it. You are going to wake up everyone. It’s late go
home.”

I can’t go home. I need to find her. I punched the wall by
her door. I knew my hand was bleeding but it didn’t hurt
as much as my heart ripping in thousands of pieces.

*****Jae In POV*****

I was about to fall alseep when I heard a loud knock on my
door. It was Dongho.

“Jae In ah! Open the door! I need to talk to you!” he
yells out. Tears start to roll. I was happy to hear his
voice. I heard grandma tell him I had moved out, that he
should go home. She never lies, but she lied for me. I was
thankful.

I covered my mouth with my hands. I was afraid I would
answer him or even make a noise. About five minutes of
silence went by and I cired until I had no strength to
hold up own hands. I sat there and tears just rolled down.
I tried to stop when there was a knock. It was grandma.

“Are you sleeping? He left so open the door.” she whispered. I unlocked the door.

“Why aren’t you sleeping? You should go to sleep.” I said
as I wiped the tears off my cheeks.

“You’re in a lot of pain, aren’t you?” she said as she sat
down.

“No. I’m fine. You don’t need to worry about me.”

“You can’t lie to me.”

“Grandma... it hurts. It hurts so much.” Tears began to
roll down my cheeks again.

“Why did you do it then?”

“Because... because I love him. I love him, grandma.”
Tears began to pour down. I cried so hard that it was hard
for me to breathe.

*****NEXT MORNING*****

I opened my eyes. I felt horrible. I remember grandma
trying to put me to sleep, so I did. I got up and changed.
Put all my things into the two suitcases and a bag. I
walked out and saw grandma y my door.

“I was just getting you for breakfast.”

“I’m sorry grandma but I’m not hungry. I’m going to visit
my new school.”

“Make sure to eat.” I nodded and walked away.

I took the bus to Seoul National University. When I got
off, I walked to the secretary desk for the principal’s
office.

“Hello. How may I help you?” the woman said.

“I made an appointment to meet him today.”

“Can I get your name?”

“Lim Jae In.”

“You may go in. He will be there in a minute. He’s in a
meeting.”

I sat down. He came in the moment I sat down.

“I’m glad to see you. You are one of the few that are
accepted to Seoul National University with full
scholarship.” he shook my hands.

“It’s nothing really.”

“Why are you here today?”

“I would like to quit school.”

“What? You didn’t start yet.”

“Something came up so I have to move far from here and it
will be hard to come to school here.”

“Sorry to hear. How about this? You can take your
scholarship with you.”

“Huh?”

“Since the money you earned. You can take it with you.
Hopefully you use it for your education.”

“Really?”

“Yes. I will the secretary to do it now.” He buzzed a
button and the woman came in. She left the room in a hurry
after getting my banking account number.

“Thank you.” I said softly.

“You earned it. But promise me you will come see me as
soon as you find what you want to do to help the school.”
I nodded. We said our farewells and I left.

I looked across the street and there was a real estate
office. I walked in. I bought a house with one kitchen,
bathroom, and a room. All I needed. I bought it. I didn’t
care to check the house out before I signed. The real
estate office was famous and it was far from here at a
decent price.

I walked out. I put my earphones on. It was Haru Haru by
Big Bang. I got on the bus and went back home. When
grandma saw me, her face was stiff.

“The boy was here minutes ago.”

“Really? It’s okay. He didn’t see me, nor did I see him.”

“Are you leaving?”

I couldn’t say anything so I just nodded.

“Okay sweetie. Go on.”

“I’ll send mails.” I gave her a hug and I left.

*****Dongho POV*****

I woke up with the sun in my eyes. The cloth I wrapped my
hands with was close to being soaked in my blood. I took
it off and put a new one on. I checked out and headed for
Jae In’s house again.

“Jae In ah...” I said as I knocked on her door. The
grandma came out again.

“You’re here again. I thought I told you she moved
yesterday.” she yelled out.

“Can you please tell me where she went? You must know
something.” I said on my knees.

“Young man, get up.”

“Please, just please. Help me once. I need to tell her
that I love her. Then maybe she can’t leave me. Please.” I
said as my eyes began to fill up with tears.

“Did you check the school? She lives for school. She might
be there...” she whispered.

I wiped my tears and ran for the bus stop. I ran as fast
as I can. I went all over school. When I got out I saw a
bus leaving. In there, she was sitting there listening to
her mp3. She disappeared like that. I guess I would have
to regret it for the rest of my life.
