Ajumma to Deeto (Date with Ajumma)

I am the Black Cat. (HIATUS cause I'm working on my other Choose your adventure Suju Fanfic)

"Where do we go?" I asked.

"AH AH AH! Let's go to---

what things do you like doing?" Junki suddenly asked, scratching his head.

And I thought for sure that he was going to drag me somewhere only he wanted to go. Ha.

"Ano... I, uh, I enjoy playing videogames?" I answered.

"Okay, to the arcade we go!" he smiled as he took my arm in his. "Uh, kitty, which way is the arcade around here?"

"It's this way, ajumma," I replied monotonously as I walked to the left.

........ ......... ......... ........ ...........

We arrived at one of the biggest arcades in town. It had clean translucent white floors that lit up because it had the lights underneath, red and yellow walls decorated with game posters, and lots and lots of "the claw" games & sticker-picture machines.

"Oro? There's a lot of people here today," I complained.

"It's okay," he said as he put on his black glasses as a disguise. It looked really good on him and it made him look so much younger-- like a high school boy, actually. Honto ni... kawaii... D:

He took my arm, and I died right then and there and I never got to see Junsu.

...

Baka. I didn't literally die.

I looked away so that he wouldn't see my face turning red but I couldn't help but smile. Usually, the girls I knew in Japan would go for guys with doe-like eyes. I also liked guys with doe eyes because they really did look kind of better than anyone else. (Look at Ikuta Toma and Teppei) However, this guy with slits for his eyes could totally take anyone's breath away. Including guys, I bet! I had this strong urge to see him in girl's clothing... Kekeke, I'll save that for another time.

"Ya, kitty, there are so many claw machines," he said with a face like o_o except for him it was more like  -_- .

I looked around, and I THOUGHT I saw... you know... someone from THSK... but it turns out that it wasn't. I just shrugged my little hallucination off and asked Junki, "Ajumma, which game do you want to play?"

"Tsk," he said as he put his hands on his hips but in a very manly way, mind you. "Obaa-chan, who's your favorite cute anime character?" he asked me.

"TONARI NO TOTORO~" I sang without hesitation.

He smiled cheerfully and took me to one of the machines that was filled with little Pokemon plushies. Far at the back, I could see a lonely little black Totoro with a leaf on its head. MUST. SAVE. IT.

Junki put some tokens into the slot and the game started.

"Oh-oh-oh-OHHH--AGGGHHHHH!!" he yelled as he thought he had caught the Totoro when it slipped out of the claw just before it was supposed to slide down out of the machine.

"Do you want me to do it?" I offered indifferently.

"NO! This should be a gift from OPPA to you."

"Whatever you say, ajumma."

After around eight more tries, he finally got the little black Totoro and gave it to me. I looked at it and quietly bowed as thanks to him.

"Ya," he said, "I've been playing that little claw game since we came here. You haven't played yet. I thought you liked arcades."

"Ano... I usually play the ones on the 2nd floor," I said pointing up.

"Aish, then why didn't you tell me that there was a 2nd floor?? Ikimashoooouuuu!" he said with a Korean accent as he took my hand and pulled me along.

"I thought it was obvious from the outside," I muttered under my breath.

......... ......... .......... ............ ...........

The 2nd floor was just as full of people as downstairs except that up here, there were more hardcore gamers. A blue haze  enveloped the room under the dark blue ceiling with multi-colored little LED lights put together in constellations. I saw Junki just standing there dumbfounded at I-don't-know-what. I poked him.

"Ajumma, come with me."

"I-it's so huge..."

Well, this WAS one of the bigger arcades in Japan. This actually made it very convenient because you never had to wait in line to play Street Fighter, which was the game I was now sitting in front of. I took off my furry coat and gave it to Junki ajumma. "Hold this for me, please."

It had been a long time since I last played this. I rolled my shoulders and cracked my knuckles like I always do before a game. Junki sat down at the machine in front of mine.

"Yamaguchi Chihiro, I will challenge you," he said pointing at me.

"Hajime."

Long story short, I beat him along with several other guys who lined up behind him. I even heard one of the guys tell Junki, "Your girlfriend is unbelievable. You're so lucky she plays videogames with you too."

"Ah yeah, she is really good at this but I usually win in Starcraft," he boasted.

Frikkin ajumma. He didn't even deny what the guy said.

We played several other games as well (shooting games, Tekken, etc). Before we left, he stopped in front of one of the dance machines.

"Ya, kitty, let's play this! I bet I can beat you since I'm more athletic than you are."

"No, I don't want to. I'm not very good at this and there are so many people watching."

"Eiiish, they don't know you anyway and you won't see them when you're dancing facing the screen. You're just going to be one of those girls that they always see trying this out. I bet they'd even think you were cute."

"Iya, ore pass." [Trans: No, I'll pass.]

"Isn't 'ore' for guys only?"

"I can call myself whatever I want."

"Come on, just try this with me please? If you play, I'm gonna buy you dinner at any place you want."
"Honto?" [Really?]

"Yeah, just please play this with me. I don't want to be alone."

"...Okayy, I guess... just one game."

He beat me. I'm guessing that it's just because games like this are more popular in Korea and well, I trashed him in Street Fighter. That makes us even. We were both kind of hungry though and it was only 4pm so we went out to get ourselves some ice cream. (Yes, in Winter. I don't care. The ice cream parlor was warm anyway.)

He ordered a red bean flavored ice cream cone and I got one of my most favorite flavors.

"What did you get?" he asked.

"Beef tongue flavor."

"BWOH?? There is such a thing??" Oro. His Korean side came out.

"Mhm," I said as I my ice cream cone. "It's really good."

"Japanese people..." he muttered.

After a few moments of silence, he broke it by asking, "What clothes do you usually wear?"

"Eh? Ano... I usually just put on jeans, a T-shirt and a cap. I don't dress as fashionably as the regular people."

"Hm, sou desu ka." [I see.]

We finsihed our ice cream cones and started walking. I didn't know where we were going. I just followed his lead. Eventually, I asked him.

"Ajumma, where are we going?"

"It's a secret," he smiled sheepishly. (Why is that smile of his so frikkin familiar??)

.... ..... ..... .....

I wasn't expecting this.

"Come, let's go buy you some new clothes!" he said, dragging pulling me into a store filled with girly clothes. I think the name of the store was F-something 21. Either way, I didn't like any of the clothes.

"Demoooo!" I said. [But!]

"You'll look so cute in these, I promise!"

After showing me a bunch of clothes that I didn't like, he took me out to go to other stores. We almost went in another girly store when I saw another one beside it that sold edgy clothing. By edgy, I don't mean y revealing clothes because I don't swing that way, okay? I pulled away from his grasp and stood in front of the store, admiring the mannequins in various caps, black leather jackets and skinny ripped jeans. There was one I particularly liked that had an xray design on the torso of the jacket. It tickled my fancy.

"Ahhh, so this is your type of clothing?" I heard Junki's voice ask me.

I nodded, not taking my eyes off of the array I saw before me. "Let's go in then!" he took my hand as he pulled me into the store.

"Okay, now that we're somewhere more akin to your personality, go pick out anything you like and I'll buy it for you. I lost to you at Street Fighter anyway."

"Honto ni?" I blinked at him.

"Yeah, so go and enjoy yourself," he smiled. "I'll help you pick out some stuff as well."

After two hours, we had ourselves five bags of clothes. I took time to pick which ones I really needed and only got the ones I really liked too (a black top with a spider web hanging from the arms, a new black cap with buttons, skinny ripped jeans, and some others). I don't really like to spend so much time shopping if it's for leisure. If I was going to really be going with this guy to Korea, I would at least need something that won't make me stick out like a sore thumb. I noticed though that he had another bag with him but I just let it slide. It's not like I was going to wear anything else besides these. He couldn't make me.

"Thank you for the clothes," I bowed.

"Ah, it's nothing. Are you hungry?" he asked me.

I nodded in agreement.

"I told you earlier that I'd treat you to anywhere. So what do you want to eat?"

I thought for a bit. I looked around to see if there was any place that could give me an idea. When I saw a humongous sushi mascot dancing in the middle of the street, I couldn't help but let out a laugh.

Ohohoho.
