I've posted this too long of a drabble back in 2010 in the Writer's Musing Thread in DGH....under the title "Muffin War" with the entire characters in a different guise as well....My very first attempt in writing a K or GP story...LOL  Here's the Daragon version... Hope you'll enjoy reading... 

"Oh my God!" Bom exclaimed, tapping Minzy, who sits at her left, on the shoulders, to get the latter's attention.


"What?"

Instead of answering, Bom pointed out towards across the other end the field. 

Minzy's eyes widened at what she sees. She then turns to the remaining girls at their table "Chaerin unnie, Byul unnie. Look!" 


The two girls faced the other way to take a peek behind them.  They were also shocked at what they're seeing. It's Cho Su Bin, shamelessly flirting with Kwon Jiyong or more known as Dara's boyfriend. Although from their standpoint, Jiyong looked rather uncomfortable, like he's trying to get away from the girl, inconspicuously.  It's good that Dara is late for lunch.  Once their friend sees this, World War 3 would commence!


"Someone's in trouble" Chaerin says in a song song voice the minute she recovered from the shock.


"Oh no. Please, not now." Bom groaned "I just had my nails done."


"Popcorn's in order. Butter flavor" Byul smiled in anticipation. 


"I'm scared for him" Minzy voiced out in concern, while she shakes her head in disbelief.


"Scared for who?" A voice piped in, startling the four girls at the table. "Who's him?" No one answered.


Dara plopped her books down on the table before taking a seat beside Minzy. "Yah! I'm asking you guys" She looked at her friends, who are all acting funny, trying to avoid her gaze.


Something fishy is going on here.

Then, Dara noticed that Minzy keeps on darting nervous glances straight ahead. 

Someone has caught Minzy's attention and I bet it's a guy.  kekekeke...


Dara followed Minzy's gaze and gasps at what she sees. Warning bells rang inside her head. Her face started to feel hot.


Bom let out another groan.  Knowing well what would ensue next.


"OMG! OMG! OMG!" repeatedly, Minzy whispered like a mantra, wishing silently she was blind that instant. Or better yet, the earth beneath her would open up and gobble her whole.  Anything will work as long as she'll disappear right this instant.


Chaerin began laughing like crazy, her imagination running wild at the possible things that could take place any second now.


"I need some popcorn and pretzels for this" Food still on Byul's mind.


"Tell me I'm not seeing what I'm seeing" Dara's voice sounded very calm. Deceptively calm.


"Hey, didn't we plan going to the new shop today? Come on, let's go guys." Minzy squeaked. When nobody moved, she whispered to the others "Yah! Unnie, help me distract her."

"That won't work Minzy" Byul said.


To which Chaerin added "You can't stop the Abominable Ssantokki. No one can." before she went on laughing again.


Dara was about to stand up, when Bom stopped her "Why don't you get even instead?"


"What do you mean by 'get even'?" Dara asked. Her heated stare doesn't leave the two oblivious figures.


Bom's lips lifted and spread into a smile like that of the Cheshire cat in Alice in Wonderland.  She crooked her right index finger and signaled the other occupants to lean in closer. The five girls huddled closely.

After ten minutes of planning, "You're a genius Bom unnie!" Minzy exclaimed, feeling relieved that no blood will be shed today, if her Dara unnie agrees. If.

Dara skeptically stared at Bom ""Are you sure that will work?"

"Hmmm..I must admit, Bom's plan may work better than your usual oh-no-you-didn't-flirt-with-my-Yongie-i'll-make-you-regret act" Chaerin stated, her head bobbing in agreement.

"Yeah, I do think it's a good plan" Byul agreed.  Her lips pouting "Party Pooper" Byul tells Bom.   



"I told you. I just had my nails done" Bom flips her hair before she took out her phone and dialed a number.  "Oppa! We need your help."

Jiyong was surprised he didn't see Dara, standing out in the hallway of his classroom. But what surprises him even more, is the fact that he did not hear anything from her, and it's been two days.


It is almost lunch time and there's not even a trace of her shadow. This made Jiyong feel worried. It's so unusual for Dara not to see him. Having a phone is no help either, not when he can't contact her.



LUNCH TIME



Jiyong is on his way to Dara's class to ask her friends about her whereabouts.  He stopped dead in his tracks when he sees a guy talking to Dara.



He saw Dara glancing over to where he's standing, a few feet away. She quickly averted her gaze back to the guy instead of greeting him.



W-what was that all about? Did she just snubbed me? And who the heck is that guy?


Bom, like magic, appeared by his side "He really takes on after his cousin. The Chois have a good...no, make that a GREAT set of genes" She said aloud, as if she's able to read what's on his mind.


"Choi? Cousin?"



"Yup. Choi Minho. He's my Seunghyun oppa's cute, little cousin."  Bom giggled "Though Minho's not exactly little. But most definitely cute."

"Puppies and bunnies are cute. Choi Minho's nowhere near cute." Jiyong grumbled under his breath.

Jiyong's remark didn't escape Bom's bionic hearing. That was her cue to lay out the bait.

 "I heard Minho has his eyes on Dara." Clasping her hands, "Aaaw look! Dara's blushing like she's talking to her crush" She exclaimed sweetly when Dara and Minho suddenly bursts out laughing at a joke that only the two of them could to understand. "Minho and Dee make a pretty picture, don't you think so?"


What the fudge? I'm the OFFICIAL boyfriend and you're asking ME?!?!?

"Oh. Hi, Jiyong, didn't realize that you're here." Bom greeted like it was only that time she realized that she has been talking to Jiyong all along "Well, I'll go ahead. Me and the girls are headed out to the new pet store with Minho. It's nice talking to you. Bye."

Bom would've sashayed to where her friends are whilst doing a victory dance, if it weren't for the fact that she's fully aware that Jiyong is staring at her.  If looks could kill, she probably would've dropped dead on the floor right after she blurted out that Minho is interested in her Dara.
 

Ten minutes.  It has been ten minutes since Dara passed by, leaving the University grounds with Choi Minho.  It's also how long it took Jiyong to be able to move and run after them.

YANG GOON'S PET SHOP



"Bom,  I don't think the plan's working" Dara sighed in frustration. All she saw was a blank expression on Jiyong's face, during the times she took a peek at him, as she pretended flirting with Minho. 

"It'll work Dara." Byul said before she went back to checking out the puppies inside a kennel. "Don't fuss."


Chaerin opened a kennel "Oooh, hey there little fella'" She cooed at the kitten, before facing Dara "If there's anything Bom unnie knows well, it's how boys think.  So, her plan would definitely work. Don't worry too much Dara unnie"


"How can you two say that? Jiyong didn't even try, TRY, to stop me from leaving!  I shouldn't have listened. I miss my Yongie!" Dara ranted.


"Dara unnie! I just saw Jiyong oppa." Minzy warned. "He's almost here." Minzy is standing near the front window of the shop, where she has a clear view of the street. 
 

"Remember your roles. And Ssantoki when I say smile, do it, ok?" ordered Bom "Minho, would you please be a dear, and tuck Dara's loose hair behind her ear.  It's bothering me. Thanks, sweetie." 

Minho complied.  The chimes at the door rang, signaling that someone had just entered the shop.


"Now. Smile." Bom whispered.  She almost rolled her eyes, seeing that Dara's about to give a smile resembling that of a person suffering from constipation "Imagine that it's Jiyong you're smiling at." She instructed lastly, walking towards the other side of the shop. 


Hearing that, and as Dara visualizes that Jiyong is the one standing next to her, she was able to relax and smiled like she has never smiled before.

JIYONG'S POV



I followed them to the newly opened pet store, keeping a safe distance for them not to notice me. And currently, I'm crouching behind a public mailbox, not knowing exactly what to do.  I trust Dee, it's that Choi Minho, I don't trust! 

When I sneaked a quick look inside the shop once more, what I saw next made me jump up from my position, and go rush inside.

The moment I entered the shop, I saw Dara smiling sweetly at that pole! I saw red. My fists clenches at my side.


"There's only one toki left. I've always been fond of rabbits." Were the words he said before he winked at my Ssantoki. That drove me over the edge.


That's it! Enough is enough! I'm the only one who can act cute around MY GIRLFRIEND!


I strode over to where they are and snatched one of Dara's hands, pulling her to my side. And then with both of my hands, I gently cupped her face, and planted a kiss on her surprised lips, with everyone looking on.


"You can have that one, but not MY Ssantoki! She's mine!" I said with a smirk at the guy. I turned my attention to Dara "Let's go, baby."



I took her hand and started walking to the door of the shop. I wanted to take Dara away as fast as I can, so much, that I failed to notice her glancing back to her friends and mouthing the words "Thank you."

Gleeful laughter and cheers erupted inside the store, as soon as the couple stepped out from the store.

"Bom unnie" Minho called out "I have to go."


"Thanks for the help, Minho. I owe you a lot." Bom smiled at Minho "Oh, and please tell Seunghyun oppa I'll see him tonight."


"Will do." Minho left the shop, with a wink. "Bye."



Minzyuttered "Wow! Bom unnie, you're plan worked!"


"You dare doubt me?" With a raised eyebrow, Bom faced Minzy.


"What did you do Bom unnie? You must've done something that made Jiyong oppa go ballistic and start acting territorial over Dara unnie. Spill it" Chaerin the ever so observant, asked Bom.


"Well I knew it won't be enough for Jiyong to see Dara with another guy. So I had to poke him with a few teasing words." 

"Teasing words?"  Minzy repeated, puzzled.
 

"Yup, teasing words."

The three remained silent, waiting for Bom to explain what she meant.

Flipping her hair over her shoulders, Bom continued "I told Jiyong, that Dara and Minho looks good together. After I blurted out a fib that Minho has his eyes set on our little rabbit and that maybe Dara has a little crush on Minho."

"Remind me to always be on your friends list and to not piss you off right after you had your nails done." It was Byul, who was busy scratching a puppy under its chin. "But you're still a party pooper." 


Laughter filled the pet shop once more.
