Chapter 5--First Day
"About being partnered with you...
.... Maybe I shouldn't really complain so much.
I'll definitely change you!"
Seo's POV
"Euungg...."
Eh..What's that noise?
I could feel a faint breeze near me. My body eventually feeling heavy. Because of this uncomfortable feeling, my consciousness slowly started returning. I slowly opened my eyes and to my surprise--
"K-k-k-kwo..Kwon Y-Yuri?"
"Mmm..?" She mumbled.
A fair tanned skin girl was right in front of me. Her eyes slowly opened too, at first with total ignorance, but her eyes started widening.
"N-neon!?" She immediately sat up.
"WHY ARE YOU BESIDE ME!?" We both shouted at the same time as we backed away from each other.
"I'm asking you!!" She said.
"I asked you first!!" I replied.
"You molester! To think you'd go so low as to sneak up my ro---" - Yuri
It wasn't that long when Yuri realized it wasn't her room. =_= My eyes were as suspicious as they would seem.
"Oh.." Her silent reply.
As soon as she knew she was on the wrong, she gathered all her hair, tied it up, and stood up from my bed like nothing happened.

*Knock knock* Yuri's door slowly opened.
"Omma..?"- Yuri
"Good morning!.. I prepared your food. Uhm, Joohyun-ssi? Wanna eat with us?" Said her mother.
"Eh? Uh..Ani. It's fine omma-- I mean Mrs Kwo---" - Seohyun
*groooo~~wl~*
"You couldn't be more obvious can you?" said Yuri.
"I- *blush* I dunno..>_< mian haeyo." - Seohyun
So, how did it end up like this? Eating with Kwon Yuri and her mother like a whole family. Well, hello there new life?.
Not even 5 minutes passed, Kwon Yuri already finished her food and left without even saying goodbye.
"Mrs Kwon. Does she always do this?" I asked
"Do what?" Her mother wondered.
"You..I mean, not acknowledging you.. or anyone else's existence." - Seohyun
"Not always. I told you, she changed a lot ever since, and I'm probably at fault for making the wrong decisions."
"I'm sure you were a great mother..Mrs Kwon." - Seohyun
I finished eating and cleaned up after my plates.
"Ja~ I should go now, Mianhe.. about the food mam thank you and sorry.:)" I said.
I rushed myself, and as I opened the door.
"Seo Joohyun. Kansahamnida..and, you can call me omma from now on too by the way." Yuri's mom said as she smiled at me.
That single sweet yet sad smile hurts my chest. 'Omma'. Was she longing for her child to come back to her, would my mom feel the same? Did I even make the right decision on my own. *Sigh* What's the right thing to do anyways, in 'that' household, I probably would've been insane by now.
+After about 40 minutes have passed. Later, in the classroom..+
*Sound of the door slamming*
*Huff...huff..*
"Seo Joohyun?..You're already 20 minutes late." - Kahi
"N-ne seonsaengnim. Mianhe, I just--" - Seohyun
"Arasso arasso..so, where is Kwon?" - Kahi
"Eh?..Kwon, but.. she came before me..r-right?" I said, surprised.
I looked around the room in search for her, but Kwon Yuri didn't seem to be around anywhere the room.
"EEeeeh!?..Waeyooo!!~ >_<" I shut my mouth with my palm. You loud mouth!? I thought.
The teacher suddenly let out a loud audible sigh.
"I guess you'll suffer the same fate then. Now go to your seat, let's not waste time." Kahi said.
"Suffer the same fate?..Seonsaengnim!!?" - Seohyun
She just gently pushed me to my seat. Otteoke!? What 'suffer the same fate!?'
I looked at Hyoyeon unnie with my worried feelings.
"YA! Don't look at me with those puppy dog eyes..geez, seriously.." she said.
"But...but..I--"
"I know I know. For now let's just listen to the teacher ok? Chill~ Azzaa~..:))" She replied while raising her rock sign.
+During break time..+
"So.. The reason?" said Hyoyeon.
"Well, she went out from her house earlier than me."
"And how did you know that?" said Tiffany.
"Uh..Hmm, certain circumstances..." I answered.
"Fishy.." said Yoona
"Definitely fishy.." said Taeyeon.
"So, can you explain why---THESE GUYS ARE HERE SURROUNDING US WHEN YOU ONLY CAME UP TO ME!?" shouted Hyoyeon.
"Ya~ chill the beans Hyoyeon unnie..I was just worried about Seororo."--Yoona
Hyoyeon looked at Taeyeon.
"Oh..me? I'm just practically her babysitter almost everytime."
"And you?" she asked Tiffany
"I'm the vice pres, of course i'd always be beside Taeyeon"
"Chincha. Sigh" Said Hyoyeon.
"Otteoke." I said with a shaking voice.
"Geez. You really shouldn't worry though Seohyun. It's probably 'that' anyways." said Taeyeon.
Everyone looked at each other. "Aaah!.." They said in chorus.
"Yeah, it's probably 'that'!..." shouted Tiffany while pointing up.
Yoona suddenly looked disappointed. "'That' huh.."
Everyone got quiet as they looked at Yoona..
*Sound of the school bell ringing.*
"Wah! We gotta go!" Said Hyoyeon as she hurried at fixing herself.
"Wait, Unnie..What's 'that'?" I asked
"Let's just talk later. I'm dead in the next subject Seohyun!!" - Hyoyeon
"That's what you get for not studying!" answered Yoona. Tiffany and Taeyeon laughed.
[Later on]
"Ah, 'that' huh?" - Kahi
"Aish, why won't anyone tell me what's 'that' Kahi seonsaengnim? =_=..." - Seohyun
"You're really curious aren't you.." - Kahi
"*Sigh*..Just when I finally said I'll change her.." - Seohyun
Kahi seonsaengnim smiled.
"Wae?" I wondered.
"I was just thinking how you guys just probably met for only 2 to 3 days by now..didn't you?"
"Eh? Now that you talk about it..." -Seohyun
"So why is it then that you're so bothered like this? I understand about your grades, but I'm sure that you're classmates probably already told you about how things work with Yuri. Even if you don't do anything or even if she doesn't attend any meeting, she'll still properly do her work so as to not affect the partner designated to her, also, so that no one would bother her ways around the school." Said Kahi
I suddenly fell silent. I really DID meet her after a few days ago. I wonder why..
"Sigh It's fine. Meet me at the school gate by 6:30." Professor said with a reassuring smile.
"Eh?..Wae?" -Seohyun
"You'll know why." She ended.
+Later that night.+
"Kahi sensei.. Where are we going. Do I really need to dress like this? What's with this mask?"
"You're mixing your Japanese with our Korean Seohyun. Don't sweat the small stuff." - Kahi
"But this is just weird. This black dress and all. Where are we going anyways?" I asked.
"Don't worry, we're close."
"Close where? I'm getting scared seonsaengnim. It's already dark, and we're not even on the main streets anymore." I said as I felt chills through the cold night in this black dress.
Kahi seonsaengnim stayed silent. What is it that I'm doing anyways, I could've just stayed home and waited. I guess curiosity really can kill you huh.
"Uh.. We’re here!" She said.
We stopped by an old rusty door which seemed to emit faint sound of music from inside. Isn't this something called Underground Club? What are we doing here?! I thought.
"Seohyun ah..Do you know Black Pearl?" She asked.
"Wait!! Kahi seonsaengnim, I'm still under aged!! I'm not allowed here!!" I said as I tried to pull her back.
"Aish. They won't notice unless you act like that, act normal. I'll just show you what the Black Pearl really is." She replied as she let go of my hand.
'Black Pearl?'
Kahi seonsaengnim knocked on the door with an unusual rhythm and tempo, as if it was a secret code. As soon as she finished, the door suddenly opened by itself. The faint sound of music became a loud sound of bass along with audible cheers of people. I couldn't comprehend whether or not it was noise or either music. As we entered the dark narrow hall, the music became louder and clearer.
*BLACK PEARL!!*
*BLACK PEARL!*

*BLACK PEARL!*
*I CAAAN'T HEAR YOU!!! WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR!?* shouted the MC.
Lights suddenly flashed before my eyes. People wore all kinds of masks, their features seemed fascinatingly beautiful despite the covers on their faces. All of them seemingly bright. All of them cheering for one person.
*BLACK PEAAARL!!!*
---Ladies and Gentlemen---
The lights flashed all over the place and suddenly pointed to the stage.
That was when I understood. 'Black Pearl' was..
'Kwon Yuri'
Everyone was hyped up, people cheered, strangers looked like comrades as they cheered for one person. The slightly wide room looked wide enough to contain a lot of people and lastly as I looked upon the stage, I saw Kwon Yuri perform as her eyes sparkled with confidence. 'Was she really like this? That rude lonesome girl?' Her was b and even with a serious expression I could feel her passion flowing.
"She's awesome right?" Said an anonymous guy beside me.
I didn't respond to the words of this masked man. I..didn't really like talking to the opposite gender since I grew up in the most proper manner at an all girls school.
"Yuri--- I mean.. the black pearl always seems so bright on stage." He said
"You know her? You didn't seem to give any honorifics in her name." I asked
"Ah..that--" He was cut off.
"Yonghwa!!! We need to get ready, we're next!!"
"Aish~..Tsk, I'm Yonghwa by the way. Nice to meet you."
"Yeah, uhm...same..Nice to meet you too." I said.
Yonghwa stared at me and gently smiled.
"YONGHWA!!!" They called.
"NEEE!! I'm coming!! Bye then." He said as he rushed away.
Who was that guy?..

It just so happens that the setting wasn't an actual concert but only in an underground gig area,well i guess it's still a concert, but with a smaller stage and space to breathe in..:))

Tadada~....AFTER SO MANY YEARS...but i actually finished this chapter since forever, it's just thanks to my laziness that I haven't updated yet. No hating please..:)) So, how about it, how is it..hmmm?? O_o..It seemed kinda rushed right?..=_= I kinda really did rush on this one..;)
