“I hope we’ll be in the same class!”, Yoona said as we walked to school together.

“Me, too.” We had been in the same class since middle school and of course we also wanted to stay together in our last year.

“Oh and have you heard? Sooyoung-unnie has a boyfriend now!”

“Really, who?”, Sunny asked, who appeared beside us, “And good morning.”

“Good morning, Sunny-unnie.”, I turned to Yoona again who seemed to quickly want to continue with her story.

“Yeah, good morning, Unnie. Well, it’s the guy we met at the boys’ school festival!”

“You mean... that guy?!”, Sunny squeaked and grinned wide.

Quickly Yoona nodded and both of them giggled. To understand their reaction it’s better to know what happened back than. I think I’ve told about it that time.

The guy they mean is the one who had bravely saved her from some guys who had tried to...well, to molest her. But accidently Sooyoung had hit her saviour and after that they seemed to have seen each other quite often.

“Yah, you two, it’s still early in the morning, how can you be so energetic?”, a familiar voice said and we turned around.

“Good morning, Sica-unnie.”

The so called ‘Ice princess’  was a really bad sleepy head. I was quite surprised to meet her this morning. Normally she would be too late.

“My sister kicked me out of bed this morning...literally...”, she then said as if she had heard my thoughts.

Laughter then filled the air and turned to chatter which mixed up with those of the other students as we reached the school.

“Ah, I don’t dare to look.”, Sunny said and covered her eyes with her hands as we stood in front of the boards on which the class lists were shown.

Pretty quickly I found my name on one list. Class 3-2.

And there were also... “Sunny-unnie, we are in the same class.”, I said and her face immediately lighted up. “Really? Yay~!”

“And Yuri-unnie is also in our class.” “By the way, were is she?”

“I’m here!” Our heads turned around to see Yuri who ran towards us with her blazer in one and a melon bread in the other hand.

As she arrived, she almost stumbled. “Wow, what happened to you?”, Yoona asked and shook her head laughing.

“Well...let’s say it got a bit late last night.”, Yuri answered and winked.

“Please go inside your classes now!”, a teacher then called and everyone went inside.

“It’s sad that we aren’t in the same class...”, Yoona said and pouted before our ways parted.

“We’ll meet in the break.”, I said with a smile and went into the class room.

It was a relief to see many familiar faces. Last year I had been in the same class with about half of them. It was not like that I wasn’t very social and shy but... it was kind of difficult for me to approach people.

“Hey, hey, Joohyun-ah!”,  I heard Sunny call who waved me to one of the seats next to the window.

As I arrived at the seat the door was opened again and the teacher came inside.

“Alright, everyone, please sit down.”, he said after our greeting, “From now on I’ll be your class teacher. Although I’m not a fan of it we have to settle some formalities today. Let’s start with the election of the class representative...”

My first day of my last high school year started with the bloom of the cherry blossoms.
