Track Club

I made my way to the field to find Myungsoo stretching. He saw me walk towards him and smiled.

“So I see you decided to follow me,” He said with a smirk. I opened my mouth to say something, but he cut me off, “No worries, your secret is safe with me,” He winked and then ran out onto the tracks.

I could see a band of fangirls on the sides holding signs. Isn’t this school for the elite?  I walked closer to find that the signs had Myungsoo’s name written all over them. Well, I guess where ever you go there will always be a group of females wanting the best man.

I sat on the bleachers, and watched the mock match that the guys were playing. Then is suddenly hit me… Isn’t there a female team?

I looked around to see only the males playing soccer, where as the females could only be seen as fangirls or cheerleaders.

After the match was over, Myungsoo walked over to me and smiled. My heart pounded within my rib cage.

“Good to see you’re still here,” He picked up a towel and a water bottle, “Enjoy the game?”

“Y-yeah,” I found myself stuttering, and I cleared my throat, “Um, Myungsoo, isn’t there a female team too?”

“A female team?” He looked perplexed for a moment, “No, only cheerleaders…there are a few females runners, but we haven’t had enough females to form a team for any sport. Besides, most the females here just want to find a rich, handsome husband for the future,” He told me, before sending a wink to the fangirls, who I believe were sending death glares at me.

“Oh…” I said, and then my gaze drifted into the distance.

What did I say next?

1) “Couldn’t they join the male team?”

2) Talk about something else.
