I walked outside in a daze.
Could it be?No,its wasn't impossible but I had my doubts
Sure somethings were just unexplainable but this was a little different...
"Here Baekhyun,I'm sorry but I kinda dropped your camera on my way here on accident,but whatever the damage is I'll pay you for a new one"I didn't really want to meet his eyes
He turned it on,"it's fine,see?"
I looked up,it was"Oh yeah,sorry anyways"
After that I couldn't really enjoy the party anymore,my thoughts were full of Kris,Kris and more Kris.I was happy that the kids were enjoying themselves though.Well for them anywhere they went it was like a party...
"You don't seem to be enjoying yourself"Kris said as he sat down
"Well,I'm not much of a party person"I told him,avoiding his gaze,just staring at the cup in front of me.
Just then I saw Baekhyun pulling Chanyeol to the dance floor.Poor Baekhyun,he was in for the embarrassment of his life...
"You want to dance?"I turned to give Kris my attention again.
He was eyeing me curiously.
"No,i don't dance either,but you can go and enjoy yourself" I moved my head motioning the dance floor,"You should go ahead and dance,don't mind me I'm just here because they like parties...I mean I probably would've come anyways because you guys invited me but I'm just saying that parties aren't my thing,at all."
Ugh what was it with me always making myself look like a jerk in front of him?
"Well if you don't try to enjoy the party you'll never come to enjoy them"he tried pulling me up to go dance with him,"Plus I don't like seeing you here all alone"
"Kris,really I'm fine,now please go and dance with Lay or something,he looks like one hell of a dancer!"I said looking over at Lay who was dancing away like it was his last day alive.
He decided to go ahead and dance,and I was finally able to lower the rate of my heartbeat,but as soon as he was half way there he stopped,turned around and started walking towards me again.I looked up at him with a question mark all over my face,raising an eyebrow at him.
"Would you rather go for a walk or something instead?"he asked
I bit my lip,I felt horrible having to drag Kris out of the party,but since he was the one asking why not,right?
"If you don't mind..."
"Alright,let's go then"he grabbed my hand pulling me up
"Let me just go say goodbye to Kai's parents"he pulled me towards the house "And let me go get changed too,I don't want to go looking like this"
I chuckled"Lucky you,I have no choice"
"Kris dear,what's wrong?"A beautiful,elegant looking woman greeted us inside the house.She was tall and really pale with light brown hair.She didn't look very old to be honest,maybe she was Kris' girlfriend?
"Nothing,just wanted to say goodbye,my friend and I are going for a walk"I still felt his grip on my hand
"Did you not like the party,dear?"she asked me in a motherly tone
"Of course not,the party is great but I'm not much of a party person" I smiled at her
"I thank you for coming anyways,you're one of my son's new friends,right?"My eyes widened,this beautiful,graceful looking lady was Kai's mom!
She could've easily passed for someone like his older sister.
"Kris has told us about you"she glanced towards Kris"About all of you,there are six of you right?"
"Yes ma'am,they're here outside right now" I tried to smile sweetly,but it might've looked forced
"Oh how nice,maybe I'll get to know them better"she smiled a breathtaking smile,what was it with these people and their amazing smiles?
"May I know your name?"she asked
"Suho"I replied
"Guardian huh?"she said while in thought about something"Well I hope you can guard our Kris well" she giggled
"Mom" Kris whined
I raised and eyebrow,Mom?
Just as if she had heard my question she spoke,"All of them are my kids,my husband and I decided to adopt so we ended up adopting six" she giggled
I smiled at her.
"I'll go change and I'll be right back"Kris announced,finally letting go of my hand
"No problem sweetie,I'll keep your guardian here company" I could feel my cheeks burning slightly
"So tell me about yourself"
"There's not much really Mrs.?"
"Kim"
"Mrs. Kim,I'm an only child,I'm 19,I'm actually a really boring person" I chuckled nervously
"Do you mind if I see your face?"oh right, I was wearing a mask,feeling really stupid I took it off.
"Omo,you're so pretty!" she exclaimed
"Thank you" I bowed,feeling really awkward
"Tell me Suho,what do you like to do in your free time?"
"You might find this really stupid,but I have a thing for the paranormal"I slowly let the words leave my mouth,waiting for her laugh to hit my face
"That's very interesting,I myself also believe in the paranormal" she sent a wink in my direction
"Okay Suho all done,Mom we'll be on our way,if you need anything call me"Kris came out of nowhere,putting his hand on my shoulder leading me outside.
"Hope to see you again soon our little guardian"I heard Kris' mom call behind us
"Goodnight Mrs. Kim" I couldn't help but blush in a slight faint way after hearing what she called me.
