”Umma, Wookie wants to know.. why Umma loved Appa?”
The lady was amazed by her 5 year old son’s question, brushing the kid’s hair while thinking how cute he is asking such question at a young age.
Her eyes then suddenly landed at the man on the gate, only his back facing them, this made a smile suddenly crept on her face as if getting the answer by just merely looking at the back of the tall figure.
“I loved your appa because.. mmm.. well of course first are the given. He’s handsome, smart, talented, belongs to a well-off family. He’s everything you would want in a guy.” The lady giggles as she remembers the reason why he fell for that man at the first place. The memories comes flashing back to her making her blush hard. She then realized that her son is right beside her so she pulled herself back, now hesitating to continue, embarrassed to show that side of her in front of her son. But then he saw how eagerly intent the little boy was listening, so she continued.
“But those we’re just merely first impressions. When you get to know him better, you’ll even want to have him more. He might be snarky, a brat, a pain in the head at most of the time, but to the one he loves he becomes a completely different person, he’ll be obedient, sweet and will do everything to make that person happy. When you see him, he’s always keeping a straight face, not bothering to smile to anyone, but to the eyes of the one he loves, there’s always a smile in his face. He sings to the world with that wonderful voice of his, but in the ears of that person he loves, he sings with all his heart. He could ignore the whole world and not care at all, but to that person he loves, he could dedicate even every second of his time.” She’s now sniffling, tears strolling down her beautiful face. “And when he says he’ll love you forever, he means it.”
“Is that his promise to Appa Minnie?” The lady slowly nods, her gaze still fixed to the man outside, which face can now be seen, his face full of excitement as a familiar blue car approaches the front of the house.
Her gaze was cut when her child suddenly wiped her tears. The action making her wants to cry more. “Umma why are you crying? Are you sad?”
She grabs her child gently and hugs him tightly. “No” The boy looked at his mother’s eyes as the lady continues, placing her son on her lap. “I know… I know I was really crazy back then, I saw your appa being that person to Sungmin, and I was so jealous that I wanted to be in Sungmin’s place. I know that to obtain that, I have done pretty bad stuffs. I guess I thought that if I have broken them up, Kyuhyun would forget about him and start loving me instead. But I guess I underestimated Kyuhyun’s love for Sungmin. But now I already understood it. Now, I know that no matter what happens, Kyuhyun would never break that promise he gave to Sungmin. That’s how much strong his love for him is.”
The woman muffled his tears before letting out a sincere smile to his son and looking at the reunited couple in front of them.
“God I miss you.” The taller man from earlier muttered as he hugs the other man tightly as if his life depends on it.
“I was only gone for three days Kyu” The other man giggles, but hugging back just as tighter as the other.
“Yah! No PDA in front of the kid!” The lady teased which made the couple break away from each other and started walking towards them.
“Appa Minnie!!!” Wookie suddenly let go from her mother’s hold and run to the man. 
“Wookie!” The said man hugged the kid before doing the same to the lady. “Seohyun! How are you?”
“I’m fine. How about you? How was the trip?” Seohyun asked back as they broke the hug.
“It was fun. I wish I could go there with you guys someday.” Sungmin answered 
“With us or with Kyuhyun?” Seohyun teased more. 
“Well it’s as if Kyuhyun was with me anyways, he keeps on calling me every minute.” Kyuhyun tried to retort back but can’t find anything making the other two giggle. “You two are ganging up on me again!”
“You two should get going, I know how much you miss each other. I’ll take care of Wookie.” Seohyun muttered, trying to suppress her laughter.
“Thanks Seohyun.” Kyuhyun muttered to the lady. He then hugged his son and kisses him on the cheeks. “Bye baby, stay here with Umma first okay, I’ll get you back next weekend, and we can play starcraft.” 
“But I don’t want starcraft, I want to play more with Minnie Appa’s bunnies.” Ryeowook pouted making the other three giggle. Knowing his son inherited his hard-headedness he just agreed and promised his son that they will.
“We need to go. Bye, see you next weekend.” The couple muttered.
Seohyun waved back, watching the couple walk back in the car, hands intertwined with each other, a pair of twinkle in their eyes were visibly shown, that’s only their when the other is.
