Chapter 5

 

 

Eunhyuk was lying on her bed while holding papers. She was staring at the documents that she just type yesterday night when Donghae drops her home

 

“I know that I will look so desperate if I show these documents to him”

 

She sighs

 

“But I really love him and I need to do everything even if I’ll look like a fool or desperate”

 

Eunhyuk hits her head

 

“Lee Eunhyuk, what the hell are you doing? Do you really need to go this far because of love?”

 

Eunhyuk takes a deep breath and start hitting her face with the papers that she’s holding. Donghae knocks on the door, but Eunhyuk is too busy hitting herself with the papers that’s why she didn’t notice him going inside. Donghae stand at the corner and stares at her blankly

 

“Pabo, Lee Eunhyuk! Pabo! Ahhhh! I think I’m going crazy because of him”

 

Donghae walk towards her and cough loudly to catch her attention. Eunhyuk stares at him with wide eyes open. She starts blushing because of embarrassment

 

“Ah...Barbie girl, what are you doing?”

 

Eunhyuk keeps shaking her head

 

“I’m fine. Don’t mind me”

 

Donghae sit beside her. He notice her pale face

 

“Why are you staring at me?”

 

Eunhyuk bows to avoid his eyes

 

“Barbie girl”

 

He cupped her face. He stares at her for the meantime before holding her forehead

 

“You’ve got fever, that’s why you look so pale. I’m sorry”

 

Eunhyuk’s eyes widened upon hearing him apologizing to her

 

“It’s not your fault”

 

“Yes it is”

 

He holds her arm carefully

 

“Does your bruise still ache?”

 

Eunhyuk nod shyly

 

“Why are you here?”

 

“I’m here to visit you”

 

Eunhyuk stares at him in amusement. She can’t believe what she just heard. Donghae went to her house, to visits her

 

“Is there something wrong?”

 

Eunhyuk shook her head

 

“You don’t want me to be here?”

 

“Of course not, I...well, I just can’t believe that you’re visiting me”

 

Donghae stares at her

 

“Can I visit you right?”

 

Eunhyuk answers him with a smile. Donghae notice her holding papers

 

“What is that?”

 

Donghae points his finger on the papers

 

“Well...this...well”

 

Eunhyuk takes a deep breath and give the papers to him

 

“I made that yesterday night”

 

Donghae reads it

 

“Well, I know that I’m such a desperate woman”

 

Donghae nod

 

“Good thing you know”

 

“I made a contract. Three years contract to be exact. I’ve ask dad about the business partnership, he told me that it only requires three years for your dad to regain his profits and company again. Would you like to give it a try?”

 

Donghae looks at her

 

“You see, I know very well that our marriage is arranged by our parents. My dad offers some help to save your dad’s company, but in return, you need to marry me”

 

Eunhyuk look at his eyes. Donghae can see sadness on her eyes

 

“I really love you, call me weird but I really love you. I want to help your family, especially your dad. I know that I’ve caused a lot of trouble to you, but just give me your three years. Give me three years to be your wife and I promise to let you go after three years. I’ll let you go when your dad already regains his company and all profits that he lost”

 

Eunhyuk hold his face

 

“I’m not that selfish to keep you forever. I know that you don’t love me and I’m not going to force you to love me. But, please...I’m begging you, just agree with my plan. I promise to let go of you when everything is fine”

 

“Are you really desperate?”

 

Eunhyuk nods

 

“Stupid?”

 

“Both”

 

Donghae laugh

 

“You’re so funny”

 

“I’m being serious here”

 

Donghae sigh while staring at her

 

“I’m going to think about it”

 

“Ok and I’m not going to force you if you don’t want. I will respect your decision”

 

Donghae just nod at her while staring at the documents

Donghae was staring at the doctor blankly while she speaks about Eunhyuk’s miscarriage. His mind was flying while controlling his tears from falling

 

“Mr. Lee”

 

The doctor tries to catch his attention

 

“Mr. Lee”

 

“Hmmm?”

 

The doctor stares at him sadly

 

“I’m sorry but we really can’t save the baby. We already did everything, but we can’t save the baby”

 

“How’s my wife?”

 

“Well...”

 

The nurse runs towards them, panting

 

“Doctor, you need to come with me. The patient is throwing tantrum. We can’t stop her; she’s taking all the apparatus away from her”

 

The doctor immediately runs inside Eunhyuk’s room with the nurse. Donghae follows them

 

“GO AWAY!!! ALL OF YOU!!! AWAY!!!”

 

Eunhyuk was screaming so loud. She was crying hard while throwing tantrum. The nurses try their best to stop her. Some are holding her arms to stop her from removing her IV

 

“I WANT MY BABY! HE’S NOT DEAD!!! GIVE HIM BACK TO ME”

 

Her doctor runs towards her

 

“Mrs. Lee, please calm down”

 

Eunhyuk stares at her. Tears keep on falling from her eyes

 

“Please tell me that my baby is still alive, please. You didn’t take him away from me, right?”

 

“Shhh”

 

“ANSWER ME! TELL ME THAT HE’S NOT DEAD, PLEASE”

 

The doctor injected something on her IV

 

“You’re going to be ok, just calm down”

 

Donghae walk towards her. Eunhyuk stares at her husband

 

“Our baby is still alive right?”

 

Donghae’s tears start falling seeing his wife suffering like that. He sit beside her and hug her tight

 

“Hae, please tell me that our baby is still alive”

 

He gently her hair

 

“Shhh, just take a rest”

 

Eunhyuk keeps on crying

 

“He’s still alive. He didn’t die. Just tell me that our ba—“

 

Eunhyuk slowly falls asleep because of the medicine that her doctor injected on her IV

 

“She will be fine right?”

 

Donghae ask the doctor

 

“Well...it will be hard for her to accept the baby’s death, so please don’t leave her. She needs you at time like this”

 

Eunhyuk’s doctor pats his shoulder before leaving the room

 

 

 

 

 

“How’s Unnie?”

 

Donghae didn’t answer his sister

 

“Where is Minho?”

 

“He’s already sleeping in my room”

 

Donghae sits on the sofa

 

“Where are Umma and Appa?”

 

“They’re still in New York, but I already inform them what happen. They’ll be back tomorrow”

 

Donghae close his eyes. Sungmin stares at him sadly

 

“Oppa, what exactly happen? Why did Unnie lost the baby?”

 

Donghae shook his head

 

“It’s a long story Minnie. Just don’t ask me a lot of things, my mind is still flying because of what happen”

 

Sungmin nods

 

“Please take care of Minho for awhile. Hyukkie needs to stay at the hospital for a week”

 

“Arasso”

 

“I already bring some of his things here. I’ll go now. I need to go back in the hospital”

 

Sungmin hugs him

 

“Please take care Oppa and please take care of Unnie”

 

“Watch Minho for us”

 

“No problem. Drive safe”

 

Donghae nods and left the house

 

 

 

 

Eunhyuk wake up seeing Junsu and his fiancée

 

“Hyukkie”

 

Junsu stand beside her bed with his fiancée

 

“I’ve heard what happen. Your manager told me”

 

Eunhyuk stares at him with teary eyes

 

“Where is Hae?”

 

He shook his head

 

“We didn’t see him here when we arrive”

 

Eunhyuk saw the girl standing beside her ex

 

“Condolence Ms. Lee Eunhyuk”

 

She bows at Eunhyuk

 

“Hyukkie”

 

Eunhyuk stares at Junsu

 

“She’s my fiancée. Choi Sooyoung”

 

The girl bows at her

 

“It’s nice to meet you Sooyoung-shi”

 

She smiles at her

 

“Please be strong and don’t lose hope”

 

Eunhyuk just nod while controlling her tears from falling

 

“Does your dad already know what happen to you?”

 

Eunhyuk shook her head

 

“I don’t know. My mind is actually...”

 

Eunhyuk starts crying. Junsu sits beside her and give her a hug to comfort her

 

“Go ahead”

 

Sooyoung pats Junsu’s shoulder

 

“I’ll leave you guys alone”

 

“Are you going to be ok?”

 

She nods at him

 

“Don’t worry. I’ll be fine and I understand. I’ll just call my driver to fetch me”

 

Eunhyuk shook her head while staring at her

 

“It’s ok. You and Junsu can go home now”

 

Sooyoung hold Eunhyuk’s hand

 

“Don’t worry. You need a friend, so you can cry it out”

 

“I’m sorry”

 

“You don’t have to”

 

She Eunhyuk’s hair gently

 

“Please be strong. I know it’s hard but you need to be strong”

 

Eunhyuk nods at her. Sooyoung gives her a warm hug

 

“I hope that you’ll be fine when we meet each other again. I’m hoping for your fast recovery. Stay strong sweetheart. I know you can do it”

 

“Thank you”

 

Junsu kissed her before she left the room

 

“What really happen?”

 

Junsu notice bruises on her arms

 

“Hyukkie”

 

Junsu holds her hands

 

“Please look at me”

 

Eunhyuk looks at him while tears keep on falling from her eyes. Junsu can see strong sadness and pain in her eyes

 

“Please tell me the truth. Does your husband treating you well?”

 

“What kind of question is that? Of course Hae is treating me well”

 

Junsu stares at her bruises

 

“Who did that to you?”

 

Eunhyuk covers her arms with a blanket

 

“Don’t tell me that Donghae is treating you like a punching bag?”

 

Eunhyuk shook her head

 

“Hyukkie, please stop covering your husband’s mistakes. Who did that to you?”

 

“You don’t need to meddle in my life. We’re over”

 

Junsu nods his head

 

“I know, but don’t forget that we’re still friends”

 

“But you don’t need to meddle in my marriage life. Hae and I are fine”

 

Junsu smirk

 

“Where the hell is he?”

 

Eunhyuk shook her head

 

“I...”

 

She drops her head

 

“Don’t know”

 

“I’m right”

 

Eunhyuk start crying hard. Junsu hugs her

 

“Go ahead and cry it out”

 

“It’s so painful Junsu. Why is this happening to me? I’ve lost the baby and I disappoint my husband”

 

Junsu her hair gently

 

“It’s not your fault”

 

Eunhyuk shook her head

 

“It’s my fault because I didn’t take care of myself. The baby is gone...he’s gone forever”

 

“Shhh, nobody wants it to happen”

 

“It’s all my fault”

 

Junsu cupped her face and wipes her tears

 

“Don’t blame yourself Hyukkie. Nobody wants it to happen, not even you”

 

“Junsu, what will I do now?”

 

Junsu hugs her again

 

“You need to be strong. You see, life must go on. I know it’s hard. It’s really hard for a mother to lose a child. But, if you won’t help yourself to continue living and be strong then you’re going to lose not just your second baby but also Minho and Donghae”

 

“Hae will leave me and I’m scared of that”

 

“Of course not, that will never happen. You need to be strong and keep on living for the people you love. You see, Minho and Donghae are still there. Your dad is still there and your friends. We all love you Hyukkie, so life will never stop here”

 

“I’m scared”

 

Junsu shook his head

 

“You don’t need to be scared. You can do it Hyukkie. I know you can”

 

Donghae enters the room and saw Junsu hugging his wife

 

“What are you guys doing?”

 

Junsu turn around and found Donghae staring at them seriously

 

“Look, it’s not what yo—“

 

Donghae punch Junsu’s face

 

“HONEY! NO! STOP!”

 

Donghae lift him up

 

“How dare you touch my wife?”

 

“Donghae, I’m just here to visit Hyukkie. We’re not doing anything”

 

“Really?”

 

Donghae hit his face again

 

“HONEY!!! STOP IT!!!”

 

Junsu’s lips start bleeding. Donghae push him on the wall and shoot him a deadly glare

 

“Don’t show your face in front of me again! Bastard”

 

“Look, Hyukkie and I are...”

 

“SHUT UP”

 

Donghae drags him towards the door and push him outside

 

“GO AWAY! DON’T SHOW YOUR FACE IN FRONT OF ME AGAIN, GET THAT?”

 

Junsu wipes the blood on his lips

 

“I hope you know how to take care of your wife”

 

Junsu stares at him seriously

 

“Real man doesn’t hurt a girl”

 

Donghae ignores him and shut the door. He stares at his wife seriously

 

“What the hell are you doing?”

 

Eunhyuk shook her head. She stares at him nervously. Donghae start walking towards her

 

“Honey, please”

 

Eunhyuk start to feel scared. Her hands are trembling and her heart is beating so fast

 

“Please...let me explain”

 

Donghae raised his eyebrow

 

“Explain? You’re cheating on me, then you want to explain?”

 

Eunhyuk shook her head

 

“No...it’s not what you’re thinking...please listen to me...just listen...please”

 

Eunhyuk’s tears start falling from her eyes. She feels so nervous because of his husband’s serious glare

 

“Hae...plea..please”

 

Her voice starts to tremble while she stares at him nervously

 

“You know that I hate liars Hyukkie”

 

“I’m not lying. There’s not—“

 

Donghae slaps her

 

“I didn’t ask you to speak!”

 

Donghae pulls her closer to him and hold her chin tight

 

“Please...don’t hurt me...please”

 

Donghae shoot her a deadly glare, holding her chin tighter

 

“How can you flirt around when our baby just died?”

 

Eunhyuk shook her head

 

“What kind of mother are you?”

 

“Honey...please...you’re hurting me”

 

“I don’t care”

 

Donghae pulls her away from the bed

 

“Stop! Please stop! No!”

 

Donghae push her hard on the floor

 

“YOU’RE MAKING ME LOOK LIKE A FOOL!”

 

Eunhyuk shook her head

 

“YOU’RE CHEATING ON ME!!!”

 

“No. There’s nothing going on between me and Junsu”

 

Donghae pulls her arm, lifting her up

 

“HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?”

 

Donghae hit her face

 

“You even dare to flirt around after what happen to our child? How can you be like that? I’m not blind. I saw it with my own eyes”

 

Eunhyuk hold her tummy

 

“Honey...”

 

Donghae hold her arm tight

 

“Honey...”

 

Blood start coming out from her. Eunhyuk’s knees start trembling. She feels so weak and the pain keeps on growing

 

“Please...help me”

 

Donghae hold her arm tight and push her on the floor

 

“Hae...it’s painful...please”

 

He cupped her face and stares at her pale face

 

“I don’t care”

 

He smirks

 

“I don’t care about you anymore, get that?”

 

He stares at her eyes

 

“I’m going to file a divorce”

 

Eunhyuk shook her head

 

“Yes I will”

 

“Please”

 

She holds her tummy feeling the pain, blood keeps on flowing

 

“I don’t want to be your husband anymore”

 

Donghae release his grip. Eunhyuk sits on the floor, holding her tummy. Donghae look at her

 

“Since our baby is gone...I don’t have any reason to stay”

 

“Please”

 

Donghae turn around

 

“Let’s just see each other in court”

 

“Hae, don’t...”

 

Eunhyuk crawls towards him

 

“Honey...please”

 

Donghae ignores her and left the room
