Onew’s POV :

“Jonghyun-ah, Minho said that he and Taemin will look for Kibum. Can we just sit down near the water for a little bit longer before we head back?”, I asked, almost sure that he will decline.

“...if you say so, hyung”, was his surprising reply as he sat down next to me.

That nervousness that I had seen in him seemed to have toned down a bit for the time being. He didn't seem like he wanted to run away from me anymore. Like he was ready for the worst and was finally surrendering. He just sat there looking at the water with unfathomable eyes.

I’m still finding it a little difficult to get the situation. If Jonghyun had feelings for me. Then what was that conversation that he and Kibum were having, that I accidentally heard, that night?

Did Kibum know that Jonghyun had feelings for me too? But, then why would he ask Jonghyun if he loved him?

“why didn’t you tell me before?”, I asked him softly.

“I...I was afraid how you might react.”, his voice trailed off.

“I thought you had feelings for Kibum.”
