Chapter 1.
Just Go With The FlowKris and I met three years ago. I was on my way home when the rain began to pour, being the klutz that I am; I had broken my umbrella that last time it rained. Needless to say I ran towards the first building I could find as shelter. Little did I know that it was the SM building, I had only moved to Seoul that year on an exchange program from my university and had no idea what kpop was other than for the videos that would flash by on YouTube. I love languages though, and decided to take the opportunity of going on an exchange program to South Korea, learning both the language and the culture. As I waited for the rain to stop an extremely tall and handsome man rain towards the building I was using as shelter. I had never seen a man as captivating as him and almost forgot how to breathe as walked through the doors. As if they had a mind of their own, my eyes followed the path he was running in, almost hoping that he would turn around for some reason so that I can catch a glimpse of his face again. I was lost in my own world when a short female tapped on my shoulder.
“Miss, do you have an appointment?” It took me a good thirty seconds before I could register what she had asked me, my blank face had probably confused her as well.
“Um, no, I’m just in here because of the rain.” I replied with my accented Korea, hoping that she understood me. I had only learned Korean for about three months at that time but like I said, I love languages so learning them was never a problem for me.
“You can’t be here unless you have an appointment, here take this umbrella and go home.” She didn’t sound too friendly when she had told me this. Now that I look back, I wonder if she thought I was a crazy fangirl trying to get close to my idols. I took the umbrella and began to head home when a loud crack of lightning startled me. I always hated thunder storms, the loud crackle or long rumbles that they created frightened me ever since I was a child, I never grew out of it. Scared, I panicked and ran back into the building, bumping in someone as I ran. Apologizing I looked up to see the same man who was running in here just moments ago.
“It’s okay.” He replied with a heavy accent and smiled before walking away. My breath was taken away from me when I saw his awkward smile spread across his handsome face. My eyes followed the path he walked in again when the same short female tapped on my shoulder again. This time, the fake smile she had earlier was no longer plastered on her face.
“Miss, you can’t be here, go home before I tell someone to take you home.” Yep, I’m sure of it, she thought I was a crazy fangirl stalking my idols.
“Oh sorry, the lightning had scared me and I panicked. I’m so sorry; I’ll take my leave now.”
