Chapter One: For the First Time

“Woohyun-ah! Come here, Mommy has a present for you,” a young woman called from the second floor balcony. The boy perked up from his toys and ran inside where the maid was there with a towel to clean his hands. He ignored her and went for stairs. It was a while, his short legs could only go so fast before he could reach the door to his mother’s office.

“Mommy!” Woohyun jumped on his mother’s arms. “A present? Is it a puppy? Or a hamster? Or is it a DINOSAUR!?” Woohyun questioned as he was placed on the sofa The young woman chuckled before gesturing a small figure towards her.

“Woohyun-ah this is Kim Sunggyu,” she placed a stern hand on the youth’s shoulder. “His parents have left him so I decided that he would be your new playmate.” Woohyun came forward, looking at the other as his mother continued to explain Sunggyu’s situation.

“How old are you?” Woohyun demanded

“I am five years old,” the squeeze on his shoulder tightened,” sir,” Sunggyu squeaked out.

“Hmmm, you will do, I wanted a girl to play prince and princess and mommy and daddy,” Woohyun circled Sunggyu when his mother backed away before smiling. “MOMMY, can me and Sunggyu go shopping? I think he would look pretty, just like Mommy, in princess dresses,” He smiled as his mother went behind her desk and produced a stack of credit cards.

“Know your limit, honey,” she handed Woohyun a full wallet before calling a driver for her son.

“Thank you, Mommy,” Woohyun grabbed Sunggyu’s arm and dragged him out of the room. Once outside his mother smirked.
