Chairman Seo’s POV

 

I was just taking a nap when all of a sudden two girls barged into my office. I believe these two girls are Minyu and Cindy, *sigh* these weirdoes.

“Are you sure about this?” I heard Minyu ask

“Don’t worry about it, Tessa’s gramps wouldn’t mind if we stole him for a few minutes, or hours” Cindy exclaimed while mumbling the last part.

Next thing I knew, I was in the library with all the girls I picked for Tessa’s team, but she wasn’t there.

“YOU KIDNAPPED THE CHAIRMAN?!” Mitsuki shouted at Cindy and Minyu

“We all want to know about Tessa’s past right?” Cindy mentioned

“So, Tessa’s gramps was the way to go” Minyu continued

“It might not be easy waking him up though” Yoorin considered

“That won’t be necessary” I said surprising them

“H-How long have you been up?” Maddi asked still in a state of shock

“Since these two kidnapped me” I answered pointing at Cindy and Minyu who were trying to act casual.

“So,” Eunha started, “Do you mind telling us about Tessa?”

“Not at all. In fact, grab some snacks, this is going to be an interesting story” I could tell Cindy was excited, she came up with a whole bunch of snacks and drinks for everyone. “Tessa’s full name is: Tessa Joomin Seo, her birthday is July 18, her blood type is AB, just like her old man, she first discovered her powers…”
 

Flashback~

 

“Umma, Umma, look what I can do” a five year old Tessa exclaimed in an attempt to show her umma her newly discovered powers.

“Not now, Umma’s busy” she ignored her little child, until she saw a blue light in front of her. She let out a small scream, now noticing what her youngest girl was capable of.

“See umma, this is what I wanted to show you” Tessa exclaimed with an innocent smile on her face.

“So,” she started off slowly, “you’ve discovered your powers”

“I have magic powers?” Tessa eyes lit up

“Not necessarily magic powers, but yes dear, you do have powers”

Just a few minutes later, Tessa was really excited to tell her unni about her newly discovered powers.

“Joohyun-unni, I have something awesome to tell you” Tessa screamed down the long hallways looking for her unni

“What is it Joomin-ah?” Joohyun asked her little sister

“Look what I can do!” shortly after that she did a little demonstration of her powers

Joohyun just stood there shocked at what her little sister can do. “That’s really cool Joomin-ah” she said a little disappointed that she doesn’t have powers yet.

“You don’t seem excited, what wrong unni?” Tessa asked with her puppy dog eyes.

“It’s nothing,*sigh* good night Joomin” she said and closed the door to her bedroom

“What’s with her?” Tessa asked nobody in particular

“She might be upset because she hasn’t received her power yet, Joomin-ah” Tessa’s appa sai

“She has powers too…” Tessa whispered to herself

 

End of flashback~

 

“So she discovered her powers when she was five?” Yoorin asked

“When did her sister get her powers?” Maddi asked

“She didn’t get her until she was ten” I still remember the disaster that was

“Isn’t Tessa’s sister Seohyun?” Eunha asked kind of eyeing me suspiciously

“That’s right, Seohyun and Tessa are in fact sisters” I sighed thinking of how they grew apart…

 

 

Flashback~ (again)

 

“Hey, you got your powers unni” the nine-year-old Tessa shouted in excitement

Seohyun just ignored her little sister and continued experimenting with her powers. Tessa tried to stop her unni from recklessly using her powers like that because, for a nine-year-old, she knows much about the family’s power.

“Unni, stop using your powers like that, you’ll hurt you self” she tried to stop Seohyun, but she wouldn’t listen. She just kept on with using her powers in their backyard, that is, until something blew up and with Tessa’s fast thinking, she put up a shield of her energy to protect Seohyun from the explosion.

“So much power…” their appa whispered. “Joohyun, come with me”

Seohyun nodded and followed him into the house. Tessa was confused as to why her appa was paying attention to Seohyun more when she received her powers than Tessa herself.

Tessa then felt a hand on her shoulder, “don’t worry about them, Tessa. Your appa is always like this, don’t mind him” Grandpa Chungho tried to lift up Tessa’s spirits.

“It’s alright gramps,” she said in a daze, “she always gets the attention anyways, so what makes this different”

“You know what,” Tessa then looked at him, “you have something that Seohyun doesn’t, do you know what that is?” Gramps asked

“Shortness?” she replied innocently

“Well that,” Tessa pouted, “but it’s something else, you have better control over your powers than she does”

“Is it because I’ve had my powers longer than she has?” she was even more confused

“No, you’ve had perfect control ever since you starting using your powers” Gramps stated

“This doesn’t make any sense…” Tessa said almost inaudible

“That may be, but there is one thing I want to tell you now” what Gramps said next shocked the hell out of Tessa. “I want you to come to Japan with me”

Tessa was too shocked to say anything, so Gramps decided to continue with his offer “I want you to come to Japan to learn about who you really are and what your powers mean. I will personally train you to harness you powers to fit your desired fighting style and-“

“You had me at Japan, Gramps” Tessa said with a smile

“Great, pack you bags we will leave tomorrow” Gramps stated with the biggest grin on his old face

End of Flashback~

 

 

“Has Seohyun always had horrible control over her powers?” it was Mitsuki’s turn to ask

“Yes, she’s always had that quality about her powers” I said

“Did you really take her to Japan?” Minyu seemed really curious

“You should know I never go back on my word” I stated remembering the weird adventures we had in Japan…

 

Yet another Flashback~

 

“Yo, Hanabi-chan what are you doing out here?” Akira, Tessa’s friend, asked her while calling her by her Japanese name

“OH CRAP” she suddenly shouted, scaring the crap out of Akira, “sorry, I didn’t see you there”

“It’s fine” he tried to act cool, “why did you scream?”

“I forgot today was Gramps’ birthday” she said letting out a soft chuckle

“Yeah, that’s right. How old is he now?” Akira asked suddenly remembering that it was, indeed, her Gramps’ birthday

“He is…” Tessa thought for a while, “70 years-old”

“Wow…” he started

“What?” she started giggling as if she knows what’s going to come out of his mouth

“Hanabi-chan, your Gramps is old, but at the same time he’s not” he stated while Tessa was looking behind him getting comfortable for the show that is about to happen

“So, you’re calling me old, huh” Gramps said behind Akira in a dark tone

“I-I didn’t say t-that” he replied feeling very uneasy at the moment

“Yes Gramps, Akira-kun said that you were old” Tessa said trying to enforce the mini-brawl

The next thing that happened was Gramps smacking Akira upside the head and Tessa laughing her off. Later, they decided to just go inside the temple and eat cake.

It wasn’t until Akira and Tessa were sparing, when something unexpected happened.

“Hey Hanabi-chan, I want you to meet my friend.” Akira stated while blocking an attack

“What he like, Akira-kun” Tessa asked

“Well, he’s Korean like you, and he seems to be your type of guy” he said with a smile, still blocking attacks

“How would I have a ‘type of guy’, I’m only 13 years-old!” she exclaimed using a final blow on Akira sending him to the back wall of the dojo

“Don’t all 13 year-old girls start getting interested in guys?” that question earned him a blow to a spot that should not be mentioned…

“How old is he anyway?” she said trying to change the subject

“My age” Akira replied immediately as if that blow earlier didn’t affect him

“Your mental age or your real age, because one is in the single digits” Tessa retorted with a smirk

“haha, very funny” he laughed sarcastically, “but really, he’s 15, a good dancer and he’s awesome” he said giving a thumbs up to Tessa

“If awesome means the way you define it, then he would be the complete opposite of the dictionary definition of awesome” she replied laughing a little

“One thing I should warn you about, Tessa” Tessa knows very well that Akira uses her name when warning her of something serious “My friend, is human”

The following days went by really well, but eventually ended in a disaster. Tessa met Akira’s friend, Kikwang, and she got along with him just fine… That is until, Kikwang started to get feelings for Tessa and confessed to her. She wanted to give him a chance, so she accepted him. She did have a soft spot for dancers.

Then one day, Kikwang’s life turned around.

“Hey, Tessa, ready to go for the dance show?” Kikwang asked as he went in the house with out knocking

Tessa turned around with her energy flowing around her, “w-what are you doing here so early?” she was obviously shocked that he saw her using her powers like that

“What are you?” he asked

She let out a soft sigh, “I’m not human if that’s what you’re asking” she answered his question with out hesitation

The next thing that happened was Kikwang slamming the door behind him and Tessa acting calm even though her boyfriend just walked out on her.

“Yo~ I heard a slam, what happened?” Gramps asked

“Let’s just say, one more human knows that I’m not” Tessa replied softly and went up to her room.

 

End of this Flashback~

 

“You had cake instead of pie?” you don’t have to be Einstein to know who asked that question

“We would’ve had a cherry pie, but we were out of cherries” I replied calmly

“When you guys came back from Japan, what happened between Tessa and Seohyun?” asked by Ikit

“That’s a really good question, Ikit. This is how it all happened…”

 

Last Flashback, I promise~

 

After Tessa and Gramps got back from Japan, It was time to go back to school. Tessa and Seohyun never spoke more than five words to each other unless they were arguing. That is, until Seohyun came home and introduced her boyfriend to everyone.

“Hi guys, this is my boyfriend, Kyuhyun.” Seohyun said in a very cheery mood

“Pleased to meet you” their appa said to Kyuhyun. “Can you get Tessa, Seohyun. She’s seems to be skipping out on our family dinners lately.” He asked Seohyun.

“Sure, no problem, appa” she replied with a smile plastered on her face

Just a few minutes later, she came downstairs dragging a screaming Tessa by her hoodie.

“You can’t do this unni, I was going to get the last few boos in Luigi’s Mansion! I was on my way to beating the game!!!” Tessa kept shouting about Luigi’s Mansion from the moment Seohyun grabbed her hoodie to the diner table.

“Tessa, we have a guest with us this evening, so behave yourself” her umma instructed her

“Whatever, at leas I saved before I was dragged against my will” Tessa mumbled in a very snarky tone

Then she got elbowed by Seohyun, “Tessa, this is Kyuhyun, my boyfriend” she said with emphasis on ‘boyfriend’

“Oh please, it’s not like this is a competition to get a boyfriend first” Tessa got pissed off at Seohyun for bragging about something stupid

“SEO JOOMIN” her appa shouted at her, “this is no way to act at the dinner table”

“EXACTLY” Tessa shouted back, “this is why I shouldn’t be here” with that being said, she stormed off to her room.

“Maybe we should talk some sense into her” Seohyun suggested. She normally wouldn’t care if her sister storms off, but it’s probably to impress Kyuhyun.

So they went off to her room but, “Hey I want to bring something up for Tessa, can you talk some sense into her for me?” Seohyun asked Kyuhyun

“Sure, no problem” he replied while knocking on her door

He heard a soft ‘door’s open’ from inside the room, so he just let himself in.

“Are you and Seohyun always like that?” he immediately asked

“It’s been a routine ever since I came back from Japan a year ago” she replied not looking away from her TV screen

“I thought you were playing Luigi’s Mansion?” he asked with a soft chuckle

“I was, but then I switched to Paper Mario: the Thousand-Year Door” Tessa replied while defeating the boss of chapter 2. “Where is Seohyun?” she asked

“She said she would get some food for you” Kyuhyun replied remembering Seoohyun said she would do that

Tessa scoffed hearing that, “like that would ever happen”

“Seems like you and Seohyun don’t get along very well” he assumed

“Wow, took you long enough to figure that one out” she stated sarcastically then went back to playing PMTTYD

Suddenly, her game paused, “What the hell was that?” she turned to Kyuhyun who seemed very suspicious at the moment

“You know... I can manipulate any piece technology, and your GameCube controller is considered technology” he smirked

“So…” Tessa started looking at Kyuhyun blankly, “you have powers”

“Yes, and I’m well aware that you have powers too” Kyuhyun retorted

Kyuhyun and Tessa became good friends after that night. Seohyun continued to be innocent to keep Kyuhyun as hers and away from Tessa, because she was getting jealous of their growing friendship. Over the past few weeks, Kyuhyun has been noticing Seohyun acting differently than her ‘innocent’ persona.

“Hey Seohyun, can we talk?” Kyuhyun asked her while waking in the cafeteria

“Sure, what is it?” Seohyun asked back in her innocent voice

“I want to break up with you” he stated right out of the blue, but that’s when Tessa walked behind them

“You WHAT” Seohyun cracked

“You told her didn’t you” Tessa said behind Kyuhyun. He just nodded in return.

“Why would you want to do that?” Seohyun asked while her hands were glowing pink

“B-Because…” he stuttered thinking of an idea to get her off his back, “I’m in love with Tessa”

“BWOH?!” Tessa and Seohyun shouted at the same time

“Yeah, I only dated you to get close to your dongsaeng” he said as her put an arm around Tessa’s shoulder

Seohyun completely lost it and attacked Kyuhyun. Thanks to her lack of control, she only hit his left arm.

“FINE, BE THAT WAY!!” Seohyun shouted wile storming off

“Seiko” Tessa muttered under her breath in Japanese

 

End of Flashback (about damn time) ~

 

“Tessa must’ve had a difficult past” Eunha muttered

“If you think about it,” Ikit started, “all of the things that happened in her past helped her with everything she knows today”

“That’s a good point, unni” Maddi said

Just then, the library doors opened and Tessa came in…

“Itsuka wa kitto~ shinjite

Aa wa motto~ todokukara

Ima wa Step by Step~ sore de ii

Hora yume made issho ni arukou”

She suddenly stopped and noticed we were all staring at her

“Nice of you to join us, Tessa” I said

“Hey Gramps” I could tell Tessa got a little bit nervous by her singing, “So what have you guys been up to while I was gone?” she asked everyone

“Nothing much” replied Minyu

“Well, let’s get out of here and go home” Yoorin suggested

My hand hurt so much from writing(or typing) this and i want to take a break and watch one of my favorite animes, it's called Ouran High School Host Club
