A small moan wakes me up and I take in a breath, but gasp because my body aches, is sore, the bullet wound hurts but not so much as moving my muscles do. I stare at the ceiling letting my eyes adjust to the dim lighting before looking over to my right and then doing a double take,

        He’s awake, and his head snaps around to face me. I move to get up but find myself still restrained.
