Lost You
Lee Joon paces the room, glaring at me every once in awhile.
“Look, I honestly had no clue the other four were with the Yakuza, or any of that. They didn’t tell me anything, and no I don’t know why.”
“They probably thought you couldn’t take anything seriously,” he rolls his eyes and glances at the clock.
9:59 AM.
The manager was already on my laptop, and waiting for the meeting to start. He’d called up the CEO and had quickly been urged to join in.
Sixty seconds pass and the laptop screen flickers to life.
The manager had told me and Joon to leave the room, but we’d refused, to which our manager responded by telling us to keep as silent as possible during the video conference.
I saw a bunch of men and women in suits on the screen, all managers, some of the more well dressed ones familiar CEO’s. SM’s head, Kim Young-Min, had called up the meeting, and thus began it with a formal hello to which everyone responded.
“I’m not sure about the rest of you all, but yesterday, YG’s CEO, Yang Hyun Suk, and I received an email telling us to withdraw our Korean Idols and to stop what is referred to as the ‘Hallyu Wave’. For my company and my idols’ safety I have suspended all Japanese activities. I advise you do the same. I have no doubt in my mind that the Anti-Hallyu movement is behind this.”
Young Min-sshi speaks up,
“They’ve warned that they will harm any idol who we send in, they are the ones who hold SM’s Kim Kibum hostage-“
“I’d like to point out,” my manager clears his throat, catching everyone’s attention, “The other four members of SHINee, as well as all the members of BigBang except Daesung, have also been captured.”
The room goes silent and the manager continues,
