The interlude started playing and everyone was in shock, awe, and confused. Why did this song appear here?— Most of them thought.

The four judges began to whisper at each other.

Minjeong struck another iconic pose with a serious confident face that caused the whole stage to erupt in cheers, claps, and laughter. Seeing this, Sooman spat out the water he was drinking.

Tap tap tap, the only person watching her simple steps while nodding seriously was the judge who requested Minjeong to dance, Jihye. That girl was the only professional dancer here and she seemed to be really amused.

The song was released a few years ago and it became famous among children. It was so popular that all kinds of people uploaded dance covers of it, the difficulty was that easy.

Minjeong chose this song merely because of the fact that there's no way she can practice dancing to any pop song without looking tense and crook.

So instead of making herself look even more miserable than her dancing skills, why not make it fun?

Even if others looked at her as a gag, if she, the contestant, was snickering, would become dislikable. She had to give the impression that she prepared this diligently to show how good she could dance.

So just enjoying the stage and giving the judges her confidence and it's working alright. Minjeong's expression never broke and was matching her mood to the music, since the difficulty was easy, her dancing looked at least decent.

When she was practicing this song just a few days back, she completed (First Movement) and (10th movement) achievement for dancing. The point she received was quickly distributed to vocals as she knew singing was her strong point.

At the moment, vocals were her only chance of winning.

Though it seemed like a mistake, seeing how much the judges were laughing hard and clapping at her, Minjeong didn't know anymore.

When the music ended, Minjeong did her last pose and stopped dancing. Short of breath, she bowed down and came back to her senses.

Immediately, claps drowned her ears and she was not expecting any of it. She felt a bit satisfied with the reactions and bowed once more, smiling for a millisecond which Sooman noticed and complimented.

Minjeong nodded her head, "Thank you."

"She's funny." Soyeon laughed, "Loving the confidence."

 "Aside from the fun and bright mood you created..." Jihye held her mic firmly with a serious expression, "Why did you choose this song? I'm sure that you didn't come here to be a laughing stock, do you think this show is a joke?"

Suddenly, the atmosphere became heavier and some of the contestants reacted uncomfortably in Minjeong's place. Despite this, she kept composed and shook her head.

"It isn't like that... I have no experience in this industry." Minjeong paused before continuing, "I chose this song because I'm a fan of pororo-sunbaenim." and smiled brightly.

"Keuk!" Jieun covered , seemingly holding herself back from chuckling.

The doubtful expression from Jihye earlier when Minjeong said that she had no former experience was totally gone. The dancer fell into a wide smile and released a small peal of laughter.

"I see..."

"Ah~ She's cute," Soyeon muttered in delight.

Sooman nodded his head, "She tried her best, it's important that she tried her best."

Jieun coughed to clear , "Then shall we check your singing?"

"Yes."

Minjeong approached one of the staff and grabbed a mic. She could feel her heart getting weightier as she walks back to her position, thump thump thump. She swallowed her spit silently and breathed out a long sigh.

As soon as the music started playing, Jieun crossed her arms and rested them on the desk. So far the music Minjeong has chosen has been so unique and the judges were in once again.

The intro of Merry Go Round of Life was playing, an ost from a famous anime called Howl's Moving Castle, normally it had no vocals so Jieun was certainly interested.

She was very familiar with the song and expected the girl to sing it as it is until the accompaniment was rearranged which surprised her even more.

"Ohhh... she changed it," she mumbled.

The very moment Minjeong raised the mic towards and parted her lips, everyone was again stunned but unlike the cheerful bright energy she produced, the air that flowed on stage felt soothing.
