Day 49: 3 February 2024

50 poems a day

In the whispers of the wind, thoughts of you,
Hiking through greenery, skies so blue.
Capturing moments, pictures untold,
Yet in my phone, those tales unfold.

With a friend you disdain, we shared a day,
Listening to woes, in a different way.
Reflections cast upon the past's dim light,
Realizing, I failed, love slipped from sight.

A partner's role, I faltered and erred,
Ruining the love that once we shared.
Self-awareness blooms, like flowers in May,
Yet too late, for you have gone away.
