Day 47: 1 February 2024

50 poems a day

February's arrival, a melancholy refrain,

No longer shared, our joys and our pain.

In the swift dance of time, a love did unfold,

From friends to lovers, a story to be told.

A blossoming tale, a love that soared high,

Yet descended swiftly from the azure sky.

A cascade of moments, both sweet and bitter,

In the storm of emotions, we became a quitter.

Busy days led to neglect, a bitter brew,

Loneliness lingered, a truth we knew.

I'm sorry for the void that my absence brought,

In the tapestry of love, a thread left fraught.

Gratitude lingers for the moments we knew,

For a while, I could proudly call you mine, it's true.

In this lifetime, a chapter, brief yet profound,

I miss you dearly, in every heartbeat's sound.
