Day 22: 7 January 2024

50 poems a day

On this day's reflection, a question profound,

Can I surrender all, on love's battleground?

If time were a sculptor, shaping fate's decree,

Yet now, I falter, I cannot set love free.

In the puzzle of feelings, a mystery unfolds,

Is it love's absence or the grip of stubborn holds?

Apologies linger, heavy on the heart's score,

I tried to be the man, yet I yearn for something more.

For the hopes you harbored, I offer my remorse,

A canvas of sorrow, a love's bittersweet course.

I'm sorry, my love, I failed to be the one,

In the shadows of longing, a setting sun.
