Jiah POV

I watched as they carried him into the court room. He was secured tightly in his strait jacket. Every now and then, he would look over at me. His eyes seemed to be somewhat apologetic, but I refused to believe that he was sorry for what he did.

“Has the jury reached its verdict?” I heard the judge ask.

I could hear blood pounding in my ears from all the nervousness and anticipation this week in court had brought.

“Yes your honor.” The head juror spoke.

“In the case of Bang Yongguk verses Im Jiah and the city of Seoul, we find the defendant guilty of attempted murder in the second degree. He will also be placed in a mental asylum, as he is a danger to himself and people around him.”

I let out a sigh of relief

“Thank god…” I whispered to myself.

I looked over to Himchan, who wore the same expression, and smiled. We were finally free. My eyes scanned the room, and found those of Yonnguk’s. They seemed to be burning holes into my skull.

“Jiah…please” I heard him beg as the police officers dragged him away

“Please don’t let them take me…please!”

I just looked at him, at a mad man, at Bang Yongguk, and waved.

“Goodbye forever you son of a .” I mumbled and turned my back to him once again.
