his obsession
I could hear the shuffle of her feet in the darkness as she moved away from the direction of my voice.
“This would be a lot easier if you didn’t try to run from me.” I tried to reason with her. She remained silent, but I could hear her feet moving across the room.
“Jiah, please…” I tried again.
“NO!” she screamed at me.
“You’re a sick bastard Yongguk!”
I gripped onto the gun tighter. I could tell that she was going to put up quite a fight.
“Don’t make this harder than it has to be.” I spoke calmly.
The room fell completely silent.
“Jiah…” I called out to her
…nothing
I tried again
“Jiah!” still, there was nothing but silence. I began to walk over to the place where she once stood, unable to see since I had left the flash light up stairs. She wasn’t there.
“Stop playing games Jiah.”
I could feel my voice become thicker and more animalistic. Still, I heard nothing more but silence; thick, cruel, taunting silence.
I made my way over to the wall, and placed my hand on it, guiding my way trough the hall. These games she played with me were too much. A never ending round of hide and seek; I couldn’t take it anymore.
“JIAH!” I roared so loud that I actually scared myself.
Suddenly, I heard footsteps again. But, these weren’t hers…they were his.
“H-himchan…” I whispered.
I heard his breathing hitch, then three quick footsteps advance toward me from behind. Before I could make anything of the situation, I was tackled to the ground and my gun was throne away from me. My eyes that were now just becoming adjusted to the darkness focused on my attacker.
Jiah…
“Grab the gun!” she yelled to Himchan who limped his way over to the weapon.
A deep growl escaped my chest
“!” I hissed and threw her off of me.
She let out a small screech as her back hit the cold cement floor. I quickly jumped to my feet and charged full speed at Himchan, who now held the gun. I could feel the wind leave his body as I tackled him to the ground, but he still held onto the gun. The battle to gain control of the deadly weapon was fierce until finally
BANG!!!
Everything froze at first, but then I felt it. I could feel the hot metal ripping into my flesh as it entered my chest. He had shot me.
A husky, pained yell broke free from my lips and I fell to my knees.
Himchan quickly fled to help Jiah.
By now, I was on my back, gasping for air that refused to fill my aching lungs.
“J-jiah…” I called out to her.
She walked up to me and looked down at me with cold eyes. Through all the pain I was experiencing at that moment, her stare hurt me the most.
“Jiah…please…” I begged
She turned her back toward me and began to walk away.
“Call him an ambulance.” She told Himchan I a strange monotone voice before they walked out of the door.
