Nagising ako bigla while we’re on our way back to the campus from the parish office.

Winter and Jaemin are still fast asleep and I noticed na medyo malayo pa naman kami before makabalik.

I couldn’t help but stare at Winter while she’s sleeping. Her lips are slightly parted habang nakasandal ang ulo niya. 

I was a bit worried dahil sa gitna siya nakaupo and wala siyang headrest, pero watching her now, mukhang hindi naman siya uncomfortable sa pwesto niya.

She looks so soft.

I suddenly got very excited about tomorrow.

We’ll be helping Winter move the remaining stuff from her dorm to her new place, and we’ll also have a sleepover after. 

Ning suggested it out of the blue dahil gusto naman daw niyang makatulog sa ibang lugar other than her dorm room for a change.

Though before that, we’re also planning na pumunta sa Halloween event ng AniSoc x Theatre Guild - The Haunted Hall. I’m not really looking forward to it pero Winter and Ning were incredibly hyped kahapon while we were talking about it.

They’re really big fans of the horror genre, while Giselle and I are totally not.

Nonetheless, I am still looking forward sa mga gagawin namin bukas, especially sa sleepover. 

I don’t do sleepovers that often, and the last time I had one was with Giselle back in high school. So this will also be the first time na makikipag sleepover ako with girls other than my best friend.

Unfortunately, hindi pwede sumama si Jaemin sa sleepover for obvious reasons. Giselle also insisted na it will be a girls’ night for us four.

I remembered na kailangan ko din pala mag download ng movies that we can watch for tomorrow. I have a few things in mind na pero Winter asked me if I can also download some classic Halloween movies for the occasion. She said she’ll send me a list later.

Napansin ko na malapit na kami sa campus, kaya I carefully tried to wake them up para sabihan sila.

Right before namin umalis ni Jaemin papuntang bus stop, ni-remind ko kay Winter yung list ng movies na gusto niyang ipa-download.

“Ay oo nga pala! Sige lista ko agad pagkauwi tapos chat kita,” 

Kinuha ni Winter yung phone niya and I noticed that she added an item on her to-do list app. 

It’s a cute habit of hers that I recently learned. 

“Sure! Anything else I need to bring tomorrow?”

“Maliban sa pamalit na damit saka yung movies, wala na siguro. Yung food, pwede naman natin bilhin nalang bukas.”

“Okay! I guess uwi na kami ni Jaemin. Thanks, Winter!”

“Thanks din! Ingat kayo!”

The next day, we decided to meet up sa reception area ng dorm compound. Hindi na kami kumuha ng permit since mag momove-out na din naman si Winter and we’re only here to grab her remaining stuff. Sinamahan na lang ni Ning si Winter sa taas while Giselle, Jaemin and I waited downstairs.

Winter brought down a small box na agad na kinuha ni Jaemin and nag hati naman kaming girls sa mga reusable bags na bitbit ni Ning. Hindi naman masyadong mabigat yung stuff ni Winter and it’s good na isang tawid lang kami from her new condo building.

Pagdating namin sa lobby ng Burgundy, nagpatulong si Winter kay kuya guard para bigyan kami ng trolley for her stuff. Mukhang nasabihan na niya earlier si kuya dahil namukhaan agad siya nito.

“Thank you Kuya Willy! Balik na lang po namin mamaya yung cart,” Winter told kuya.

“No problem, Ma’am Winter! Kahit iwan niyo na lang sa tapat ng service elevator sa floor niyo. Ipapakuha ko na lang po sa mag ra-rounds doon mamaya,”

“Ahh sige po! Thank you kuya!”

Ibababa lang namin yung stuff ni Winter and yung gamit naming tatlo for the sleepover kaya we asked Jaemin na antayin na lang kami sa guest area. Winter registered Giselle and I as guests sa biometrics system since nakapag register na si Ning nung tinulungan niya si Winter mag move-in last weekend. 

For some reason, I started getting nervous nung paakyat na kami inside the elevator. Ngayon lang nag sink in na pupunta ako sa place ni Winter. It’s not even her real house and wala naman dun yung parents niya pero medyo kinakabahan pa rin ako.

Nang makarating na kami sa floor niya, Winter led us sa left side ng hallway until we stopped in front of her unit.

Engraved on the door plate is her unit number - 1220.

Winter unlocked the door and we were welcomed by a simple and neat-looking interior.

“Wow! I like your place! Clean and minimalist which is very much my style,” Giselle said while scanning the room.

I did the same and something caught my eye, nang mapatingin ako bigla sa bed ni Winter. 

Placed at the side of her bed is an array of stuffed toys.

Sobrang cute lang dahil nakaayos sila by height. 

Giselle and I were about to remove our shoes nang bigla kaming pinigilan ni Ning by the entrance.

“Huy mga pre, wag niyo nang tanggalin yung mga shoes niyo saglit lang naman tayo! Kami na maglalagay ng mga bag niyo dito sa loob,” 

“Bes, parang dito ka na din nakatira ah?” Natatawang sinabi ni Winter while Ning was grabbing our bags para dalhin sa may sofa.

Hindi na din kami masyadong nagtagal after leaving our things and we came back down to meet with Jaemin.

Pagbalik namin sa campus, we headed straight to Mutien Marie Hall where the Haunted Hall event was being held. Nakapila na sila Mark and Jeno outside who we also invited kanina lang when we met them during lunch time.

“Hey guys! Kakapasok lang nung batch before natin,” Jeno greeted and gave us our tickets.

Mark pointed at the front while explaining the house rules na na-brief na sa kanila kanina.

“No touching and flash photography daw. We can also have a photo op with some of the actors before pumasok ng entrance, then we can claim a copy after we’re done inside.”

Excited na nag agree sila Winter and Ning habang tahimik lang kami na magkatabi ni Giselle sa gitna, slightly creeped out by the actors at the photo op area na tanaw namin from our queue. 

Napalingon sa amin si Jaemin who’s in front of us and gestured his hand. “Girls, gusto niyo dito sa unahan para mas maganda experience?”

My left ear almost went deaf when Giselle squealed. “NO! We’re good here in the middle, diba K?” 

I just quickly nodded habang natatawa naman sila Winter and Ning na nasa likod namin. 

“Actually, gusto ko sa unahan para kitang-kita yung mga mumu!” Ning suddenly said.

Winter’s face scrunched in disagreement. “Mas maganda kaya sa likod, bes! Mas may thrill!” 

“Wushu! Baka takot ka lang!” 

“Ako, takot? Kaya ko kayang pumasok sa loob ng mag isa!” Winter retorted. “Pwede ka naman lumipat kung gusto mo,” 

“Okay, lilipat ako dito sa likod ni Jaemin. Wag kang iiyak, bes!” 

“Gagi!”

Maya-maya, pinalapit na kami sa photo op area to have our souvenir picture taken with the ghost actors.

“Hello, magkakasama po kayo?” 

“Yeah, seven kami sa group,” Jeno told the student staff.

“Bali one photo per ticket lang po yung allowed. You can have a solo photo op or pwede ring group kayo then multiple shots kung ilan kayo sa group.”

Mark turned to us to confirm. “What do you think guys? Group shots na lang?”

Everyone agreed to have group shots for our photo op, and so we lined up accordingly sa wooden stair prop para maupo. Sa taas umupo ang girls and sa babang step naman ang boys, while the ghost actors went to random positions. Meron isang ghost actor na tumabi sa boys, and meron din isang tumayo sa likod naming mga girls.

After taking our photos, we gave our ticket numbers sa staff so we can claim our copies later. We were then told to line up naman sa harap na ng main entrance ng Haunted Hall for our turn. May tatlong guys din na pinasama sa group namin para daw sakto kaming ten na papasok sa loob.

Lumapit bigla sa staff yung isang guy na nasa likod nila Winter.
