The usual day, the usual routines

Jessica placed the coffee for Taeyeon who just walked into kitchen. Jessica is turning on the TV and listening carefully about the forecast for today. It’s January, the winter still there

Taeyeon on another side just smelled her coffee and smiled, she thought her morning will be this perfect. But not for Jessica, she might be tired and bored

“I’ll be going” said Jessica while takes her bag. She takes her key and strides closer to peck Taeyeon’s cheek as usual

“Drive safely”

“Always I am”

Taeyeon watches the time and it’s time to go. Slowly, she takes the remote for turning off the TV before takes her backpack. She checked her wallet and her phone, reading some chats just in case something important was happen in the prior time

Thinking that’s going well, she walked to the nearest train station from her house. Amount of people also walking with her, minding their own business as well as Taeyeon

She just doesn’t like interact with other stranger, she has limited social energy. People recognized her as a geek, but Taeyeon never mind that. She just like her way she does everyday

She just loves Jessica on her own way

Upon hearing the announcement, Taeyeon holds the handrail tightly. This morning, as usual, the train is packed with the workers or students

Taeyeon drifts her way to outside, looking for her reflection while listening to the song though her earphone

Some flashbacks come into her head

She remembered on how she met Jessica for the first time. Jessica and her were taking the same university abroad, Yale University. Many Koreans also took the college, so there is Korean Groups which usually gathered for having some fun and sharing. It made the bond between seniors and juniors going well, same goes to their alumnus too. Taeyeon met Jessica on her sophomore days when Joon, her friend dragged her to the meet and greet with the Korean freshman at the Yale University. Jessica is one year younger than her, took the law subject while she was studied architecture.

As time goes by, Taeyeon realized that Jessica is one of popular student, among Korean or the others. She often witnessed when some girls or boys tried to get her heart, just because their flat were on the same building. Taeyeon also saw when Jessica changed her partner often because of many reasons

The first time when Jessica finally noticed Taeyeon was on the softball tournament between the universities. The fate must be with them. The night before, Jessica was playing Truth or Dare with her friends and she got the dare, she had to ask Taeyeon about her cap after the final match which happened the next day. Jessica refused at the first but her friends added the new reason, if Taeyeon got the MVP at the final round, Jessica should do the dare. Taeyeon got the MVP and Jessica asked the cap from her

“Can I have your cap, Sunbae?” Jessica asked straightly when softball team is celebrating the victory

“Ah… sure” Taeyeon shuttered but gives the cap anyway

“Thanks” Jessica smiled and Taeyeon knew she’s falling

“Jessica-ssi!” Taeyeon called Jessica when the younger girl was about to leave her

“Yeah?”

“Can I have your number?”

Taeyeon chuckled when remembered her first time with Jessica. The younger girl indeed giving her much first time in her life

They broke up after date for about three months but Taeyeon got her again after the younger girl graduated, for the second time and for the last. Taeyeon proposed the younger girl right after she got the job at the Korea, back to their home. Jessica also got her job as a prosecutor, so she has no reason for not agreeing the proposal and back to Korea together

Sound of notification from the speaker startled her, she needs to going down from the train

Taeyeon has known for being emotionless, she rarely shows her emotion to others. She keeps her face straight, usually smiled or frowned, but mostly just straight face. She’s not talkative nor social engager, she just did the job, talking as she need it and going home. No one can decipher her clearly, not even her wife

She is working as usual when a delivery man come to her

“Are you Taeyeon?” the delivery man asked

“Yes” Taeyeon furrowed her eyebrows

“I have the package for you” the deliveryman handed the envelope and leaving

“Huh? He doesn’t need my signature?” Taeyeon asked to herself when the delivery man left the room. It just Taeyeon and her two co-workers at the room, Yeri and Irene who busy doing their work

Taeyeon opened her envelope and found a bundle of money with the note inside

“Manager Kim?” Irene approaches her table which placed across her, “Is there anything wrong?”

“No, nothing” Taeyeon immediately put the envelope on her filling cabinet

“Okay” Irene bowed and back to her seat. Taeyeon still fidgeting on her seat, trying to hide her nervousness but another person in the room is looking at her all the time

“Good, now please send the email to the internal audit. It said, E&K’s Director, Ok Taecyeon is receiving bribery” said Baekhyun while smirked, “Of course, you will get the bonus”

“Good play, Baekhyun” Yuri smiled widely, “You are the best”

“Sure, CEO Kwon. We will take down the problematic person one by one” Baekhyun smiled again
