Fixing her blazer, Taeyeon walked to her room while her sub-ordinates greet her. She glanced at her clock, she might be having ten minutes before the meeting  

“Irene…” Taeyeon called her co-worker

“Yes, Manager Kim” Irene stood from her seat and strides to her manager

“Have you heard anything from Kim Yerim?”

“Ah, no” Irene shook her head, “Dooyoung and I tried to contact her again but no one answered. Seems like she lost her phone”

“Okay” Taeyeon sighs; her mind is wandered about the reason why Yeri must be lost in contact with them

“Should we report it to police?”

“Ah, no need”. It’s not a big deal anyway, I just curious”

“Okay, Manager Kim” Irene bows a little before reminding Taeyeon about the next meeting

“Hi, Taeyeon!” Sooyoung waved her hand when Taeyeon entered the meeting room. With her side glance, she could see Baekhyun and Chanyeol were snickered at her

“Have you read the material?” Sooyoung asked as soon as Taeyeon put her on the chair

“Yep”

“Anyway, we’re sorry about your wife” said Kyuhyun, “We want to pay a visit but Hyoyeon from your team said that your wife hasn’t woke up”

“Yeah, she already passed the critical condition so we need to wait for her to open her eyes” Taeyeon replied. The sight of Yuri entering the place makes her want to vomit. She hates her guts; she hates how Yuri might be related to this chaos

“As soon as she could be visited, just tell us” said Minyoung before Yuri settled on her seat

“Executive Wang said he would be late, so we will start the meeting” said Yuri, “So, this meeting is about to test both of candidate with some questions from the board. Kim Taeyeon, you may come first”

Taeyeon bows before walking to her supposed seat. Her eyes beam to the audience on the meeting room. On her side, she knows she had Sooyoung, Minyoung and Kyuhyun. She also knew how Baekhyun and his chronicles like Chanyeol and Bomi already hated her because of Yuri

“Let’s start the questioning” Yuri opened the session, “Director Byun, you raised your hand”

“Yes” Baekhyun stood and walks to the screen on the front. He makes a signal to the operator for showing his presentation, “I would like to start for this building”

Baekhyun showed the audiences about a building which attached a banner “C” from the company

“What’s wrong with the building, Director Byun?” Siwon asked

“This is the building that Manager Kim and her team designed before she transferred into Safety Inspection. Manager Kim, you were designed this building, weren’t you?”

“Yes. That’s my design” Taeyeon nods

“How could an architect design a building which shakes all the time? The tenant was afraid that the four floors building will lose their customer” Baekhyun snapped

“I designed the building for enduring two up to five magnitudes. But in the middle of construction, the tenant said they didn’t have much money so they changed the design without early notice to me. As time goes by, the building can only withstand two magnitudes. Also, last year they built a sport center on the third floor so many people running around the building. It called resonance phenomenon”

“Yah, are you trying to lecture us?” Baekhyun cut the explanation, “Do you think we don’t understand?”

“I’m not” suddenly Minyoung raised her hand, “As a Finance Director, I’m not eligible enough to understanding the basic theory of design and thanks to Manager Kim who explained”

“Also, you are not certified about that, Director Byun” Sooyoung added which makes Baekhyun groaned loudly

“But how come this huge building was shaking because of few people run?” Baekhyun still tried to attack

“This called phenomenon, Director Byun” said Siwon

“You need to study design engineering first before ask” Sooyoung snorted

“If you know the problem, why don’t you offer the solution than attached the banner?” Bomi asked

“I sent the letter to the building manager about anti-vibration tools installment on the roof last year but seems like the idea hasn’t be accepted yet” Taeyeon replied calmly, “I came to the building as the architect and safety inspector”

Siwon smiled to her answer, so do Minyoung, Sooyoung and Kyuhyun.

“Let’s move to another work” Baekhyun punches the button so the slide moves, “This apartment complex has given C by you. Why don’t you put D so the landlord could do the redevelopment?”

“Safety inspection is just doing the inspection without politically motivated. We just gave the grade based on our field examination”

“Yah, how could you say that? It would be harmed the resident and the landlord”

“It’s not our business. We just do the inspection and gave them the precise calculations about the building” Taeyeon still manage her calm; she knows for her calm attitude though. Their intense stare should be interrupted by Executive Wang who entered the room. He smiled to them and signed Taeyeon to continued their session  

Baekhyun loss of words, he never imagined Taeyeon could be this calm to answer all of his question. He fixed his tie and ready to throw his last weapon

“Seems like you like to obey the rule” Baekhyun snickered and moves to the next slide, showing Yeri’s resume. It might be almost visible but Taeyeon noticed how Yuri shifted on her seat

“Why did you hire her as the intern?” Baekhyun asked, “Look at her resume, she has nothing to do. Also, she has written ‘running’ as her capability. What do you expect?”

“What do you expect from short-term intern?” Taeyeon asked back, her tone remain neutral, “We just need the intern for about three months and the HRD said it won’t be considered as a long term”

“Oh, really?” Baekhyun smirked, “Then, how about this photo?” Baekhyun showed a photo where Taeyeon and Yeri were smiled to each other. It taken near Yeri’s place, “Also, I have a big news. Kim Yerim was killed her own father, two years ago”

Taeyeon already had her fist balled; she hates how Baekhyun despised Yeri

“It concluded as a self-defense” said Taeyeon, still trying to calm

“Oh” Baekhyun smirked and showed the next slide, “Not because you ha
