I hurriedly made my way to my English class.

I stopped outside the class checking the time on my phone.

1:44

Two more minutes.

I surfed on social media to kill time ignoring the notifications and the texts trying to catch my attention but I knew better than to give into some random comments that I didn’t need or texts mostly consistent of boring or inappropriate texts. Already getting bored of scrolling, the bell finally went off, as students started filing out of their classes and hurried away to their last class of the day

I pocketed my phone waiting to see a familiar face and soon enough Jimin came into view busy shuffling around loose papers in his hands and a large book tucked under his left arm, barely hanging there.

Before he could enter I blocked his way causing our heads to bump together. He fumbled backwards, looking up in alarm with wide eyes

“I’m so sor-“ His panicked gaze met my amused one

“Lisa!” A look recognition took over that was soon replaced with a playful scowl

“Hi Jimin” I grinned, picking up his book that didn’t survive the impact and had fallen to the ground

“It’s rude to scare people like that” He scolded as we made our way inside the empty classroom

I shrugged, “you should really start paying attention to your surroundings ya know” I playfully mocked him with the same words he had used on me earlier

Jimin couldn’t hold back his amused laugh as he elbowed me

“Shut up. And that isn't your seat” He smirked pointing out the obvious

“Does it matter?”

“Uh, yeah,” He said, eyes shifting away from my face, pointing behind me

I didn’t need to turn around to know who it was. I couldn’t solely blame her signature flowery smell...just the shift of facial expressions when she’s around is enough of an indication. Something about the slight admiration with sudden crease on one’s forehead from nervousness is a common sight whenever she is nearby.

“Hi Jennie” I smiled finally turning around but it was only met with a glare

“Get off my seat” She demands with an almost growl.

Woah there

“Alright, calm down Ms.President” I threw my hands up in defence getting up from her seat and situating myself behind Jimin instead

I was in no mood to fight with Jennie, especially in front of a crowd. The occasional stares subsided to glances here and there and I didn’t want them to go back to full on stares. Plus, she already looked more irritated than usual which I didn’t even think was possible.

Without saying anything in return or taking a jab at my sarcasm she just quietly sat down

I can’t possibly interrogate Jimin with questions regarding the Guild situation with Jennie being in the earshot. She already wants me gone as it is.

Tsk. what a waste of time

Jimin turned around with a sympathetic smile

“So, are you going to the party on Friday?”  He asked trying to make up for the sudden tension in the air

I glanced at Jennie who was already writing down something in her notebook

“Are you?” I returned his question with one of my own with a slight raise of my brows which probably wasn’t very noticeable.

“I asked first” He grinned

“I’ll go if you go” I smirked crossing my arms over the desk separating us, slightly moving closer as he hastily averted his eyes elsewhere, a small blush taking over his face

“O-okay”

“You didn’t answer my question though”

He raised his head up to meet my eyes again as he nodded. “Yeah, I am” He grinned.

“Now” He added

I smiled gratefully as I scooted back into my seat, done with the teasing, Jimin is just too nice to be flirted with. I know he's the type of who catches feeling too quickly and I wouldn’t dare hurt him. I’m not that low.

I glanced in Jennie’s direction who sat beside Jimin. One seat in front of my left. She couldn’t catch me in the act of looking at her due to her back facing my front.

She looked stiff as ever

I didn’t know someone could get her more riled up than I do but it’s good to know it’s not just me who causes her to turn sour out of nowhere.

-

I was late.

My first student council meeting and I was late.

Almost sprinting on my way there, I unintentionally smacked the door open a little too loudly making my entrance apparent.

“There she is” Jimin welcomes me with a giant smile accompanied by a wave in his directio
