I looked at HaSeul who was taking a nap on the grass, she looked peaceful, unlike a moment ago where she was a complete drunk and crying mess. . I can’t stress enough how panicked I was when I woke up alone and didn’t find HaSeul around. I thought she was pranking me at first, so finding her completely drunk where she spreaded her parents ashes was painful. In that sense she is still a kid, a kid whose parents got killed. She was so fragile. I caressed her cheek and felt sad. I hugged her in her sleep and decided to read as she was resting a bit.
As she woke up HaSeul sat up and looked at me with heavy eyelids. She stood up and vomited a few meters away. I chuckled and took my time to approach. This would teach her about drinking so much soju. I gave her a bottle of water and she rinsed and face.
“Gosh I've made a fool out of myself.” HaSeul gave me a look before turning around, embarrassed.
“How do you feel my foolish storm ?”
“Better. I’m sober now.” She said.
I came to hug her. “You're such an idiot.”
HaSeul looked vexed first and sighed. “Sorry. Coming back here is very hard for me.” She touched her head, massaging it slowly.
"There's more than the ashes, right ? This place ?"
She looked down for a while. "It was our last hiking together, on the road for home, we got ourselves into a car accident It was pouring rain and the car slipped on the road."
I came to rest my hand on her shoulder. “And then what happened ? Were you badly hurt ?"
She lightly turned herself and made her hair rest on her left shoulder. “You see it ?I don’t even know how it looks nowadays.”
I finally gave a look to her scar and graced it with my finger. I never noticed she had such a deep scar there. The little space between her hair and ear had a deep scar, baby hair didn't even grew back at the exact location of the scar but it was hidden most of the time by her luscious hair.
I applied a gentle, protective kiss on it, making HaSeul giggle.
" I got broken limbs and I missed school for a long time, but I healed well"
"But your parents ... Wait never mind don't even think of that again. Oh HaSeul come here."
I gave her a tigh hug, lifting her to make her sit on my lap. "YongGuk."
We looked at each other and HaSeul smiled. "I don't remember much . My brain just erased everything that happened after the car accident. Especially when I was in the car. Well, I was probably unconcious."
I must have look distressed because HaSeul grabbed my arm. "YongGuk, it was so long ago, I'm fine. I'm really fine."
“HaSeul when did you plan to tell me you almost died with your parents ?” I asked, now angry at her.
She gulped. “YongGuk, how could I tell you this ? You’re aware of the fact I don’t like to talk about my parents.”
I bite my lips. I hated how secretive she was. “You have other secrets like this to tell me ?”
“I can’t get into cars
