Trust, Let's Trust.

Heeyoung glares at a squirming Jackson, while Jongin watches amused.

"You can keep the air purifier, the beanbag and the hanging plants. Everything else needs to go."

"Hope." Jackson whines,

"Jackson, you don't need a mini-fridge or that ugly lamp." She grimaces, looking over said lamp.

"Fine. I'll return the lamp."

"And the mini-fridge."

"No, that stays."

"Ge."

"But Hope, I really need it."

"Fine. Do what you want. It's your room." She grumbles, heading to sit, but Jackson grabs her arm,

"Please, help me." Jackson pleads,

"No."

"Please."

"NO!"

~

A few moments later..............

"The rainbow, Hope. roygbiv."

"Shirts, hanged and T-shirts in the dresser."

"Wang, I'm going to hurt you one day."

"Can you move your things out? I need more space!"

"Why do you have more clothes than me?"

"Please..."

"It's fine! My closet is practically empty." Jongin assures her, helping carry more boxes inside.

"Never again, am I letting you move in with me." Heeyoung glares at her friend, as they finally make their way to the living room.

"I won't ask again. I ordered take-out, it should be here any second now."

Once again, Jongin wakes up to Heeyoung using his chest as her pillow. He carefully extracts himself from her grip, replacing it with another pillow.

By the time he returns from the gym, Heeyoung and Jackson are in the kitchen working on breakfast together.

"I can drop you off." Jackson offers, watching his friend gather her things after receiving a text from her neighbor,

"Minhyuk works with me, it's better to carpool with him." She repeats,

"I'm still No.2, right?" Jackson seriously asks,

Heeyoung rolls her eyes at him, "I'll see you later, Wang."

Jongin gives Jackson a curious look, prompting the younger to explain, "Best Friend No.2." Jongin nods, now curious about No.1.

"You moved in with Jong." Sehun exclaims, running into the living room, excited. Heeyoung calmly nods her head, as she continues watching her drama.

"I'm happy for you both, but what made you decide on it?" Sehun wiggles his eyebrows,

"It's not too deep. Jackson is temporarily staying with us. CEO Kim suggested I move rooms, and it looks strange if I'm sharing a bed with another male with my husband under the same roof." She explains,

"Jackson Wang of Wang Corps?" He asks, "You're familiar with him?" Sehun asks, not wanting her to know, they know.

"I'm aware of you eavesdropping on Jackson and my conversation at the club." Heeyoung informs him, causing him to choke on his wine, while Heeyoung blankly stares at him, making no move to help him out.

"I." Sehun coughs, "Sorry. We shouldn't have done that."

"We could have checked our surroundings." She states, handing him a napkin with her eyes on the TV.

"So, why is he staying with you?" Sehun asks,

"His apartment is getting renovated and he doesn't like hotels." She answers, as the front door opens.

"Welcome home!" Sehun yells as the CEO walks into the house with their dinner.

"I ran into the delivery guy." Jongin says, setting the boxes on the coffee table and heading to get changed.

"Speaking of friends, I always heard Sera talking about a certain Hope, but I didn't think it would be you." Sehun starts, pouring himself more wine,

"Why not?" She asks,

"She described you as somewhat crazy because of your impulsive nature." Sehun says,

"Yeah." Heeyoung calmly says,

Sehun pauses, glancing over her shoulder briefly, "I thought you would be a psycho like Sera." He sets her wine glass on the coffee table and leans close "If I knew you were this hot, I would have swept you off your feet back then." Sehun smirks, moving to cup her cheek,

Instead he feels a blinding pain as Heeyoung casually twists his hand,

"I'm joking, I'm joking. Jongin, help me." Sehun screeches, trying to pull his hand away, though all he gets is laughter from his best friend, leaning against the wall as he enjoys the scene.

"Let's not play jokes until we're close enough to be called friends." Heeyoung gives him a small smile as she heads to the kitchen. Jongin gives her an apologetic smile as she walks past him.

"You a*s." Jongin fumes, attacking Sehun,

"What? Why are you doing this?" Sehun screams, trying to get out of Jongin's hold but his limbs are locked behind him and the CEO is sitting on top of him,

"You're my best friend, but the next time you make my wife uncomfortable, I will watch her hurt you." Jongin warns, his hold on the lawyer loosening up, giving Sehun a chance to flip them over and hold Jongin in a deadlock,

"Wow, Just wow. Forgetting your best friend after getting a wife." Sehun huffs, lightly punching the CEO, "I was trying to mess with you." He further explains,

"Then mess with me directly. We've agreed to be friends and I'm scared of scaring her off." Jongin puffs his cheeks,

Okay. I'll stick to messing with you. You're a good person, Jong. Heeyoung will realize that sooner or later." Sehun assures him, the moment between the friends interrupt with an uh-hum.

The two turn to see Heeyoung, tilting her head to look at them. They finally notice their compromising position, pushing away from each other.

"No. God No, I have a girlfriend." Sehun defends, waving his arms around, unintentionally smacking Jongin over the head. Jongin puts the younger in a headlock, resulting in a scuffle between the two.

"You should be glad, I don't want your man. You couldn't stand a chance against me." Sehun winks at her, Jongin chokes on nothing,

"Don't delude yourself." Jongin smacks Sehun,

"I'm a catch." Sehun declares,

"How?" Jongin asks,

"I'm the youngest partner at the firm, I graduated from Yale with my degree in 6 years. I'm hot, rich and kind." Sehun lists,

"Not to brag, but I double-majored in Finance and I-O psychology during undergrad and got my master's in finance at Harvard within 6 years."  Heeyoung coldly douses Sehun's pride.

Jongin stifles a laugh while Sehun squints his eyes at him, "Other than partying, what did you do?"

"Did Lawyer Oh not get to enjoy his college years?" Heeyoung steps in, Jongin stuffs his mouth as an excuse to not speak,

"Of course not. I was in a frat. We had the craziest parties. I'm not sure nerds like you would understand." Sehun mocks her,

"Lawyer Oh is forgetting, I spent my college years with Sera." Heeyoung smirks, Sehun's jaw clenches as he knows his sister was one of the biggest party animals, going as far driving down to his campus when there wasn't anything happening at hers.

"It's a pity, we never got to meet earlier." Sehun nods,

"Pity? Rather it's your good luck. This psycho would have turned you into a lunatic." Heeyoung smirks, calmly sipping on her wine,

"Can we watch something else?" Jongin interrupts, before matters escalate.

Heeyoung passes the remote over to him, focusing on her dinner while Sehun angrily gulps down his beer.

"She's much more different than I thought." Sehun comments, pointing at a sleeping Heeyoung,

"She really is." Jongin confirms,

"I'm glad though, she seems like someone who won't quietly stand down." Sehun notes,

"She won't." Jongin nods,

"Oh. I completely forgot but aren't you uncomfortable with a stranger in your house?" Sehun asks, referring to Jackson,

"Heeyoung trusts him." Jongin simply answers,

"You're going to be one whipped husband." Sehun teases his best friend,

"Like you aren't." Jongin fires back,

"We've been together for years, you've known Heeyoung for days." Sehun points out, Jongin simply shrugs.

Heeyoung walks into the tall building, holding onto a simple lunch box.

"I'm here for Lawyer Oh Sehun." Heeyoung tells the receptionist, who gives her an ugly look,

"Without an appointment, you can't meet him." Heeyoung sighs, pulling her phone out and dialing a number,

"Come downstairs now." She hangs up, leaning against the counter and scrolling through her phone,

"Do you have any idea how many women come searching for him daily? Do you think I'm going to get scared with that act?" The lady sneers, but Heeyoung ignores her.

"Byun Heeyoung." Sehun's voice rings through the lobby, pulling people's attention, to catch a view of the elusive wife of CEO Kim Jongin.

"Oh Sehun." Heeyoung stands straight, handing the lunch bag over,

"Thank you so much." The taller beams, before turning to the receptionist, "Make sure to let her through whenever she stops by." He repeats the words to the guards as well, ignorant of the ugly look, the lady behind the counter gives Heeyoung.

"Replace her, not only is she rude, she's quite unprofessional." Heeyoung states.

Sehun quickly sends an email to HR.

"You're having dinner with the Kim's tonight, right?" Sehun asks, Heeyoung confirms,

"The twins are still not talking and we've run out of ideas." Sehun grumbles, as he walks Heeyoung outside,

"Let's see how they behave at dinner, first. If not, we can plan something." Heeyoung suggests.

Heeyoung and Jongin walk into his parents house with a flower bouquet for his mother and tonics for his father. Though she's calm on the surface, Heeyoung is quite nervous at seeing her in-laws.

"Heeyoung, I hope you're not planning to run away without even letting us talk." Mr.Kim teases when they walk into the sitting room.

"Don't start, you." Mrs.Kim lightly smacks her husband's hand, standing to hug her son and daughter-in-law.

"I apologize for my hasty visits." Heeyoung bows to her father-in-law, but the male shakes his head at her.

"He's just messing with you. Had it not been for our son's foolishness, you wouldn't have had to behave like such." Her mother-in-law stands up for her,

"You two be good." Mrs.Kim points at her husband and eldest before dragging Heeyoung away.

~

Heeyoung watches Mrs.Kim running her fingers through the book spines as she looks through the bookshelf. The elder lets out an aha, pulling a heavy looking album from the shelf. She hands the album to Heeyoung and takes a seat beside her. Heeyoung feels nostalgic, running her fingers over the cover with Choi Inhee inscribed in beautiful calligraphy.

"Does it feel familiar?" Mrs.Kim asks, observing Heeyoung's reactions,

"It reminds me of an album my mother cherished." Heeyoung nods,

"You can look through it." Mrs.Kim softly smiles,

Heeyoung carefully flips through the album, with each page, her heart gets heavier, seeing her mother throughout the pictures. Mrs.Kim narrates the stories behind several of the pictures, telling Heeyoung unheard facts about her mother.

"Aeyoung's family and my family immigrated together, thus we ended up as close friends. In fact, I meet Jongin's father at your parent's wedding. Your mother was my biggest support in life, yet when she needed me, I couldn't even be there for her." Mrs.Kim sniffs, discreetly wiping her tears,

"When Jongin and you agreed to the marriage, I couldn't contain my happiness at all. I wished to have you as my daughter-in-law from the moment you were born and to have it come true." Mrs.Kim beams, while Heeyoung awkwardly smiles at her,

"You look so much like Aeyoung." Mrs.Kim fondly pats Heeyoung's cheek,

"Aunty-" "Mom"

"Mom, Why did Mr.By- my father asked me to not reveal the truth about our family?" Heeyoung asks bluntly,

"Your mom and I were close friends, but I didn't meet your father more than a handful of times. I first met Namjin at their wedding and it was quite brief. And at Jaesuk and my wedding, Aeyoung came with her sister-in-law and Hyunjin." Inhee sighs, "You can call him whatever you want with me, I dislike him just as much. If I wasn't going through something at that time, He would have suffered a terrible fate." The elder states, getting a chuckle from Heeyoung,

They're looking over photos on Heeyoung's phone, when a knock sounds on the door.

"Dinner is ready to be served." Jongin pokes his head inside,

"Shall we?" Mrs.Kim asks,

"I need to use the restroom, I'll be there." Heeyoung tells them, splitting off at the restroom.

~

As Heeyoung nears the sitting room, she hears loud noises,

"He's being unreasonable." Jongin yells,

"Me? Like you're well put together?" Jongdae retorts,

Heeyoung leans against the walls, unsure on when to enter as she doesn't want to get involved in something she doesn't completely understand.

"What's your fu*king problem?" Jongin looks ready to jump on his brother,

"Both of you, sit down." Her mother-in-law calmly commands, "You are both adults, yet you're behaving like children. We invited our children over to enjoy a nice dinner and catch up, but if neither of you is willing to look past your issues, you're free to leave." She ends, leveling her sons with a terrifying look.

"Kim Jongin, I don't care about your initial reasons for this wedding, but if you hurt my Heeyoung, you will face me. Understand?" Mrs.Kim warns, Jongin visibly gulps, quickly nodding his head,

"Kim Jongdae, he's your older brother. Whatever your issues, you shouldn't resort to violence. Okay?" She looks at her younger son, before walking into the dining room.

Heeyoung chooses that moment to walk into the room. Seungwan perks up, hurrying over to greet her with a hug before they follow after Mrs.Kim.

When the food is served, Heeyoung notices all the dishes are vegetarian and looks to see her mother-in-law wink at her with a smug smile. The staff is clearing up their plates after dessert, when Jongin's phone rings with an incoming call from Sehun.

"Sehun's car broke down." Jongin starts,

"Do you need to go pick him up?" Heeyoung asks,

"He's called a mechanic, but they said it might take a couple hours." Jongin frowns, looking at his phone,

"Go. I'm sure Jongdae and Seungwan can drop me off?" Heeyoung looks at the two,

"Of course, we'll even stay with Heeyoung until you get back." Seungwan happily agrees.

"You don't have to stay with me." Heeyoung says, as Seungwan and Jongdae exit the car.

"It's no problem, Sister-in-law."

"Call me Heeyoung, there's no need to be formal." Heeyoung suggests, unlocking the apartment.

"Sshh." Jongdae pushes the two ladies back, hearing noises from inside the apartment.

"I didn't see Jongin's car, so who's inside?" Jongdae whispers,

"It's Jackson, my friend. He's temporarily rooming with us." Heeyoung says, pushing past Jongdae.

"Jackson Wang?" Jongdae voices, but the ladies have walked ahead.

"What's going on?" Jongdae freezes, looking around the living room.
