• Im sorry because i didn't upload this chapter yesterday. I was on my vacation so i just catch up with my cousins ... Lol. Movie marathon is still the best when you're with amazing and funny people ㅎㅎㅎㅎ hope you enjoy this one! Sungyeol was on his way home but decided to visit first his father in their coffeeshop which is just a few steps away from their house. 

"hi pa... Is daeyeollie and mom home?" Sungyeol asked his father

"ow hi, dear. Yes. They were both here awhile ago. Your brother helped me serving the orders" his father answered while cleaning some mugs with a clean cloth

"oh okay pa. Have you eaten your dinner? 

"of course yeollie.. Dont worry too much about me.. Hurry, go to our house and have your dinner" his dad smiled at him

"ne pa.." sungyeol was about to leave but he turned back and went near his father

"pa.. I got a job as a secretary in IFNT corporations... "

"what? How? You are still a student!" his father exclaimed

"its not an issue anymore pa. The acting president of the company and the head director of one of the departments there were the sons of the CEO which happens to attend the same school as mine" sungyeol answered.

"but how did that happen? I'll never know that you applied for work! Were our earnings not enough for your other expenses except the school fees? " his father asked him

"aniyo.. Pa, dont think too much. I just get the job just because i was given a great offer. Nothing more. Nothing less" sungyeol said

"...i'll also say this to mom. I'll start working the day after tomorrow" he added as he waved to his dad while he exits the coffeeshop

Sungyeol came out of shower and went straight to his bed. 

"11pm" he muttered as he check the time in his phone

"i guess i can sleep for a longer time now since i have no homeworks to be done..." 

He rolled to the other side of his bed when his phone rang

"hello?" 

"hi.. Yeollie~ah" says woohyun over the phone

"oh hi namu.. Why you called me at this time?" sungyeol answered as he sits on his bed

"can i talk to you tomorrow?" woohyun said 

"can't you tell it to me now?" Sungyeol answered

"i need to hear it personally..." 

"okay. see you tomorrow namu. Good night"

"good night"

'what does he want to talk about?'

Sungyeol thinks until he fell asleep

Sungyeol was walking towards their coffeesbop before going to school since he and namu agreed to just use the place as their meeting place. He already saw Woohyun inside through the glass door and was about to enter when he glanced at his side and saw someone familiar

'Howonnie?' he thought

Sungyeol stepped back and walk towards Howon's direction but when he got there, he's already gone

'am i just imagining things?' 

He scanned the area again but already shrugged it off and went back to their cafe

"Morning dad." he greets his father at the counter, managing the new intern

"oh, good morning dear, woohyun is here, waiting for you" his dad answered

"ne.. I'll go to him now.." he said as he went towards his friend

"morning, namu.."

"morning, yeollie"

"so what's the business?" Sungyeol suddenly asked

"what exactly... were you and that myungsoo planning to? 

Sungyeol was surprised. He doesn't even know when did Woohyun learned that there's something going on between him and myungsoo

"huh?" Sungyeol cant find the right words to say

"im your bestfriend.. Never once in our life that we lied with each other. You know you can trust me right? Spill it." woohyun looked at him but with no emotions present at all. 

"im sorry.. I was adviced.. th..that i must stay silent.." Sungyeol said lowering his head

"yeollie... Its not just you, and me.. that is getting drag into this myungsoo's business. Actually it was Sunggyu who engaged me to look after you cause he felt that the two of you were hiding something"

"Sunggyu~ssi noticed?" sungyeol said as he covered his mouth in shock

"He is. When he saw you tailing Myungsoo the day before. And what do you think of Sunggyu~ssi? He's just like you. Quick witted and wise. He's also concerned with his brother that is why he always observe him.. So he literally knows if something was up to. And surprisingly.. It suddenly involves you.. That's why im also 'coincidentally' became a part of this" 

"he asked you to watch me as well?"

"yes he does. He asked me to monitor only Myungsoo in our classroom at first though.. But it looks like someone also watches you other than me" woohyun said

Sungyeol became alarmed. He didn't have an idea that this whole thing is so complicated. He knew that there will be some cases that he will felt he is being followed or watched just how Myungsoo told him but he never expected that everything will be this fast

'who else besides namu will look after me? Was it jongie? No.. Sungjong looks like he doesn't have any idea about this at all... And with all of people..why me and not myungsoo?'

"uh... Do you know who is this guy?" Sungyeol asked woohyun

"ah yes. He said his name his Lee Howon" Woohyun told him

'no way.. Is the Howon that i saw earlier was not just an imagination?'

"yeollie?" woohyun wake up sungyeol in his thoughts

"what are you thinking?" woohyun added

"i think i just saw Howon here before i came to you..." Sungyeol said as he holds his nape because of the shivers that suddenly crawled in his body

"no way..." woohyun said as he stands up and checked the street from the glass windows

"you need to be careful..Yeollie.." woohyun said

"you think i must be careful from Howon?"

"You'll never know yeol!"

"but we're quite close.. And i think he is a nice person"

"everyone can act nice in front of you yeol...but we will never know what they're like behind your back"

'dammit. i need to ask myungie.. He need to clarify all of these' Sungyeol thought

"dont worry yeol.. me and Sunggyu~ssi will do our best to help you"

"thank you, namu. You're the best"

"i am! Lets go to school together"

"CEO Kim.. Someone wants to talk to you over the phone..." Secretary Ahn said as he reached the phone to him

"thank you.. You can go out now" Mr.Kim said

Sec. Ahn made his way outside as CEO Kim talked to the phone

"What is it?"

"i already saw the man, Head Director Kim Myungsoo hired to be his secretary"

"really? Tell me a bit of info about him"

"It was a bit hard since its not easy to talk to him but i gained infos such as his name, address and such.."

"just get straight to the point" CEO Kim said, quite irritated

"Don't act superior to me. Im not the one who needs you.. I have money on my own.. You're the one who is needing me. So stop raising your voice whenever you talk to me"

"Fine, fine.. "

"His name is Lee Sungyeol. 3rd year managerial accounting student. His family owned a coffeeshop and his home address is just a few steps away from it. He has a younger brother. He had a cousin, younger him by few months but attending the same campus as him. He was just a transferee but became close to Myungsoo since the first day of this semester. Looks like it was Myungsoo who approached him first"

The CEO laughed "Myungsoo's the first one who approached that Sungyeol guy?"

"yes."

'whoa. What in the world' the CEO continued to laugh

"okay.. Since he's going to work here.. Maybe i should try to get along with him..."

Sungjong was sitting in his seat as he played with his pen. Their class is still not over but his mind was already flying elsewhere

'what should i do now?' these words echoed in his mind repeatedly. 

Howon, his seatmate noticed Sungjong's uneasiness. He wants to ask him what's wrong so he tore up a piece of paper in his notebook and write his queries there. After writing it all down, he folded it into squares and throw it to Sungjong's side but the latter didn't noticed it because he suddenly stood up from his seat. 

"Mr. Hwang, can i excuse myself? I need to go to restroom"

Howon began to raise his eyebrows. He wants to follow Sungjong but he can't since his professor will not allow to excuse him out of class until Sungjong comes back. That's one of their professor's homeroom policies.

'i need to think of a way to get out' Howon thought

Meanwhile Sungjong didn't need to go to restroom afterall. He walks in to the hallway and straight upstairs until he reach the campus' rooftop.

There was no one in there. 

He sits in one of the benches and looked up in the sky. 

'im really good at plotting some great plans but why does my mind not working at this time?' he said to himself

He stretches his hand up as if was gesturing to reach the sky 

'is there any other options available? Ah..jinjja....what exactly must i do?'

He spent his time thinking that ge forgot that he still have class.

"crap! Im out for almost 40 minutes! Mr Hwang will not believe that i just went to restroom!" he exclaimed

He hurriedly went downstairs and made a turn towards their college department when he saw Howon roaming around as if he was looking for something....maybe someone.

Sungjong had a hunch that it was him whom Howon is looking for that's why he tried to act normal as he walked towards the other.

"Mr Hwang allowed you to go out? Im not even in the room yet? How?" Sungjong asked, using his trademark sassy tone

Howon turned his head towards the direction of the voice, almost shocked cause he was caught off guard

"I need to go to restroom also...but you're taking so long from coming back so i just sneak out while he's facing the whiteboard, writing something" he answered

"But the restroom is not in this direction" Sungjong again said, as if he wants to extract something from Howon's thoughts by trying to provoke him

"Really? So what are doing here also?" Howon asked Sungjong while looking at him seriously

'bingo! I knew he will fall into this' Sungjong thought

"i have a friend in Economics Department which happens to be at the floor above us. We're just having our catching up time that's why im out in the class for too long.. And you?"

"Care to tell me who is this friend?" Howon asked, challenging Sungjong

Sungjong smirked a little

"Why? Want to befriend him also?" Sungjong said, sounding so sarcastic

If there's one thing Howon can't endure, it'll be Sungjong's diva attitude. He just can't seem to understand what exactly going through the latter's mind. 

'Kim Myungsoo and Lee Sungjong were somewhat same. I can't read the both of them. But the difference is, this Sungjong's mind is more twisted than Myungsoo!' Howon cursed under his breath

"Why such hostility, we're actually friends right?" Howon said smirking a little "...besides...Your dear Sungyeollie considered me as one too" he added

Sungjong frowned. "We're classmates, yes. We talked everyday, yes.. But that doesn't mean we're friends.. I can't consider someone a friend when i don't even know some details about him..like birthdays for example" he said picking his nails.. "....and another note, Sungyeollie...is never as what he looks... Im telling you..." Sungjong added as he walked pass Howon aiming to go back to his class

"oh, i remember.  You didn't answer my question before..." Sungjong again spoke..

"Well pardon.. I forgot what you ask me earlier" Howon said

"I asked what are you doing here... Trying to find me?" Sungjong looked at him coldly

'this kid is really twisted..this is the first time i saw him like this..does this sassy diva really capable on making himself intimidating like this?' Howon said to himself

"no way. Who do you think you are?" Howon answered

"tell me..." Sungjong said as he move closer to Howon "...the day you gave me the test paper i left in class...you look for my address there, right?" 

'the hell is going on?' Howon thought

"who are you working for? Why you're aiming at gathering infos about my cousin? You think im stupid that i'll not notice how you repeatedly ask me some things about him? For what? For confirmation?"

'Dammit! It cant end here like this!' Howon thought, surprised about Sungjong's accusations

"You're just misunderstanding jongie...you overthink too much. Its just that, i see your cousin as a very adorable and amazing person.. That's all" Howon explained

"i saw you earlier.. Near my uncle's coffeeshop.. Care to explain that as well?" Sungjong folded his arms on his chest.

"i already told you..."

"So you're a stalker now?" Sungjong interrupted him

'this kid! What to do now?' Howon thought, frowned

"I..."

"Actually you dont need to bother yourself making up stories.. Based in what you're acting...I think I already know the answers..." Sungjong again interrupted him from speaking

"...and also.. Im repeating myself again.. If you're targeting my yeollie since you think he's very transparent person and can be easily manipulated or something...then i should say that you didn't planned it out well. Sungyeollie...."

Howon looked at Sungjong's intense cold glare, anticipating the words that will come out of his sassy mouth

...is more twisted and scary than anyone you'll meet..." Sungjong said as he turned with his back facing Howon and starts walking towards the opposite direction

"it's not obvious since my yeollie looks like a living doll or an angel to some... but don't underestimate him.. He's aggressive and competitive.. He will never settle for some cheap win.. He knows how to play a game.. And if you get into his bad side, yeollie will make you a piece of his game instead.." Sungjong said as he walks away, waving his hands

Howon was left there dumbfounded.. Many thoughts now running in his mind.

"Myungsoo"

Myungsoo was sitting in the hallway on his college department when Sungyeol called him out

"wow! Is the world ending now? My sungyeollie just made his way here just to see me!" Myungsoo said, smiling happily

"Did you know it already?" Sungyeol asked him

Myungsoo's smile suddenly fades

"the what?" He asked Sungyeol

"Sunggyu and Woohyun! They know that we're up to something!" Sungyeol said, quite worried

"I dont see that you need to be worried Yeollie.. I told Sunggyu about you being my Secretary and I even asked him a favor. He's observing me for a long time by now so he absolutely knows that we're up to something. The funny thing that i heard in what you say awhile ago is that Woohyun became a part of this. Looks like Sunggyu talked to him as well"

"is there anyone out there that you also contracted?" Sungyeol again asked

"There are.." Myungsoo said looking at Sungyeol

'His flustered i-dont-know-what's-going-on face is really cute' Myungsoo thought as he smiled

"Who are they? I told you that i need to know what exactly you are doing" Sungyeol said pouting

"HAHAHA.. You're really cute with that face yeollie~ah.. What should i do with you~" Myungsoo

"Ahhh! This is not a perfect time for that myungsoo..." Sungyeol said as his face turned red for blushing hard

"Why you suddenly asked me that? There's something wrong?" Myungsoo asked reaching Sungyeol's hand and play with it's fingers

'He's hands are so warm... Aishh! Stop thinking those things sungyeol!' sungyeol almost slap himself

"Have you instructed Howon to monitor me?" Sungyeol muttered silently 

Myungsoo frowned as he got up from his sitting position and faced Sungyeol

"The guy that talked to you last time and borrowed you a book?" Myungsoo asked him

"Ne" Sungyeol nods his head

"When did you start noticing that he's following you?"

"I didn't noticed. Woohyun told me... Ah! No.. I happened to see him near our coffeeshop this morning... But i never thought that he's tailing behind me..."

'that was fast' Myungsoo thought

"You need to be careful from now on yeollie.." Myungsoo said as his hands move its way Sungyeol's hair. He patted the latter's head as he spoke

"you don't need to worry.. Im playing my cards right.." Myungsoo assured him

"But why me? If this is connected to you, why don't they just aim you instead?" Sungyeol asked him looking directly at his eyes

"like what they did before... They will torture me by targeting the people closest to me.."

"But why?"

"You'll know very soon"

"So Sunggyu~ssi...".

"that's why i am keeping my distance to hyung..."

"and let me hurt in his stead?!" Sungyeol yelled stepping back away from myungsoo

Myungsoo chuckled "aigooo, what a cutie.. I didn't expect them to target you though. Maybe because i get close to you right away. They think that i am very open to you and all . This was all coincidence... You should not worry... I'll never let anyone hurt you..." He said as he pulled Sungyeol near him again

"But you're hiding things to me as well! I have my life on the line without even knowing exactly what's going on!" Sungyeol said as he tries to escape from myunsoo's grip

"i didn't! I told you my story!" Myungsoo said sounding playful, holding sungyeol tighter

"But still... it wasn't..." Sungyeol didn't finish his sentence when he feel the warm and soft lips of Myungsoo brushing in his.

'what the! It's my first kiss! This stupid jerk just stole my first kiss!' Sungyeol screamed repeatedly in his head

Myungsoo freed Sungyeol right away but still, his hand holding the other's hand tightly.

"what was that?!" Sungyeol exclaimed.

"i kissed you" 

"i know! But why?!"

"cause you're too adorable"

"what the hell was that?!"

"start getting used to it though.. I'll never know where and when i can hold my urges to kiss you...so please just anticipate it everyday so you'll not get shocked after" Myungsoo giggled

"ya! Stop it!

"i dont want to.. Sorry"

"ya! I think you should let me go"

Sungyeol continues to try getting some distance fom myungsoo but the latter is stronger than him. 

'agh.. His hold is so tight, i can't escape' sungyeol thought

As Sungyeol keeps on struggling, Myungsoo looked at him intensely. He noticed that and looked at him as well.. There was a minute of silence until Myungsoo spoke

"i don't need to tell you the whole story."

"huh?"

"even though i've given you a very vague idea of how my plan will work...even though it still gives you confusion...you...you don't need a word from me, right?"

'eh? Why is he telling me this?' Sungyeol asked himself

"i dont need to tell you that you must trust me..right? You're the one who said that..."

"i did..so what?"

"so that means that even though you're not enable to decipher things clearly..deep down you believe that you can find out the answers soon as you go along with me.. That's why even though how messed up this whole thing was ... you chose to believe in me.." Myungsoo smiled at him sincerely..

Sungyeol just stood there, not knowing what to say. 

'Does it really look that way?' Sungyeol again, asked himself

"i did say that im going to believe you.. But i think you're overthinking it.." Sungyeol said

"really? But im not overthinking it. It shows all over your face...maybe you're not aware of it...or maybe you're not admitting that you're concerned with me.. I see that you like me too.."

"stop teasing me myungsoo!" 

"i dont want.. Afterall, you blushing because of me was one of the great sights ever.. It's so amazing that people should consider you being one of the 7 wonders of the world" 

"o my god myungsoo, you're hopeless"

"Am i?" Myungsoo said as he cling his hand to Sungyeol's shoulders and dragged him to school grounds

"you are" Sungyeol answeres back

"anyways, its your first day in my company tomorrow..."

Sungyeol's taken aback. He almost forgot that he has a job already

"ah ne."

"don't talk to anyone there except me and Sunggyu hyung.. Okay?"

"why?"

"there are enemies that disguises themselves as an ally..."

"you're saying that the one who's behind your mother's death is someone from your company?"

"bingo" Myungsoo smirked "...you should get prepared...and only listen to me. Okay?" 

"am i a slave now?" Sungyeol frowned

"ani. You're going to be my partner.." he said as he smiled

'ah, seriously. '

"fine.. but where are you going to take me now?" Sungyeol said as Myungsoo already dragged him outside the school gates

"to the newly opened restaurant there. I remember that i want to have a proper date with you.. So here it is" myungsoo said as he hopped like a little kid. Excitement was evident on his handsome face

The two went their way to the restaurant when Dongwoo reached his phone and talked to someone

"Hello? Oh.. I saw them together..."

• HAHAHA im sorry if it's a cliffhanger. What do you think of this? Who do you think is teaming up with whom? Well anw it's still early to think of an answer since there will be an addition of characters not just INFNT. Lol
• anw, i love how i made Sungjong here. ㅋㅋㅋ
• what do you think of Howon and Dongwoo? Are they the bad guys or nah? ㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎ
• I also made Sungyeollie a badass here too. Since my reference for their characters here is their Back era except from Sunggyu. Sunggyu's reference here is during the Chaser era. He looked so good there. Lol.
