• So just as what i have promised. I'll post chapter 6 now. Lol. This is one of the confusing parts in this fic so i'll guess you'll question some parts here. ㅋㅋㅋ

Sunggyu was scanning the books in a certain bookshelf while waiting for woohyun to come. He wasn't that sure what to say to him though, but he really did want to know what Myungsoo is doing this whole time by observing Sungyeol closely. He knows that its not right to do so.. But its driving him crazy and he was so worried that he'll prefer settling in to this kind of thing rather than asking the two since they're not telling anything. 

"sunggyu~ssi?" woohyun suddenly called him out

"ah, ne.. Woohyun.." he put back the book that he picked and drags woohyun to the library's fire exit.

"Can you tell me what was the call yesterday all about?" Woohyun asked, straight to the point

Sunggyu told Woohyun their family's story, but not in details. He limits the story but in a manner that woohyun will be able to understand the situation.

'oh. That's why myungsoo is so isolated to the class. As if he doesn't want to belong' woohyun thought.

"why did you asked me to look for sungyeol everyday? Is there something wrong?" Woohyun asked him not wanting to waste anytime.

"i feel that he and my brother, Myungsoo were hiding something" Sunggyu answered. 

"Yeollie and myungsoo? like what?"

"i dont know. That's exactly what i want to find out."

"are you sure that my friend knows some stuffs that has something to do with your brother ?" woohyun asked, still doesn't get what is happening.. Sunggyu is either, but he really felt uneasy

"i have a feeling.."

"youre actually wanting me to do a favor.. Based on what you 'feel'? Is that only your basis, sunggyu~ssi?" woohyun doesnt want to sound rude or what. But he really dont like the way his friend, Sungyeol was being dragged into a nonsense accusations and such. 

"i know it sounds crazy woohyun~ssi however...i really want to bet on this."

"but why?"

"i think myungsoo~ssi will do something risky that will incidentally involve sungyeol" Sunggyu almost losing his cool but tries to keep his usual cool headed state. 

"...please trust me woohyun~ssi. If i am just being a paranoid or such, we will neither gain or lose something.. But what if i am right? Just... Please woohyun... Trust me" Sunggyu pleaded

'what should i do? I should ask sungyeollie first... But what if Sunggyu's right? What if yeollie will lie to me as well?... Why in the world will he do that? Why the hell he became involved to that jerk myungsoo?' woohyun's thoughts came rushing in his mind.

"i have decided... Okay.. I'll observe my friend.. you should also check your brother too. " woohyun said, looking so serious. 

"i will. Let me know if something's wrong with Sungyeol's actions and i'll also let you know myungsoo's... Let's do this together" sunggyu said, extending his right hand.

"...together" woohyun reached sunggyu's hands to seal their agreement.

"so sungyeollie hyung~ have you decided my offer last saturday? Will you join me renting a dorm?" Sungjong said as he cling into Sungyeol's arm

"there's nothing to decide jongie~ whatever you say, my answer will be the same... It's a no" Sungyeol said as he ruffles his cousin's hair.

"aigoooo hyung! Pleaseee. I dont want to share a room with anyone except you.." Jongie snuggled closer to him

"im sorry jongie.. If you really want to share a room with me, i'll give you the permission to go in to my room anytime you want."

" i like your offer hyung, but the purpose of getting a dorm is for us to be just a few steps away from campus" Sungjongie rolls his eyes at Sungyeol's idea. 

"stop that mannerism of yours or i will hook that eyes off your face.." Sungyeol chuckled

"that sounds so brutal hyung.." Sungjong laughs 

The two continued to walk while talking as Woohyun tailing behind them.

'argh! Why did i agree to this in the first place?!' Woohyun tells himself. 

He still continue tailing both of his friends when someone tap his shoulders.

"WHA-?!"

"What are you doing?" Hoya asked him

"What do you mean?" Woohyun answered, a little bit flustered.  

"I saw you. You're following the two. Weren't you friends with them? Why not just show up?"

"uh... uhmm... I just want to know something. That's all." Woohyun reasoned

"What is it?" Hoya asked once again causing Woohyun to be quite surprised because of sudden seriousness in Hoya's eyes

"Its none of your business...sorry" Woohyun said as he faced the other direction. 

He was about to walk away when Hoya suddenly speak again to him

"Did Myungsoo say something to you?"

confused, Woohyun looked at Hoya again. 

'why he's aking me this?'

"First of all, who are you?" the first question that Woohyun muttered as he faced the hoya again

"Lee Howon. Your friends, Sungyeollie and Sungjongie knows me." He said.

"...you're Nam Woohyun right?" he added

"How'd you know about me?" Woohyun asked again

"From Sungyeol he used to talk about you a lot... Anyways, back to the main topic, did Myungsoo say something to you?"

'seriously that jerk is so famous as ever. Its like all of the students here in the campus always have him as their topic' 

"why you asked?" woohyun fired back, not liking the pressure present in the air 

"just answer me"

"what if i dont want?"

"why on earth you would'nt tell me?"

"huh. Why on earth i must tell my business to you?" Woohyun again said, sounded a little irritated

"tch. Stop playing woohyun~ssi..."

"what? You're the one playing with me first!" woohyun yelled

"what is going on here?" a voice came from their behind

The two looked at the direction where the voice came from and they both saw Dongwoo

"Ah! Dongwoo~ssi! " Woohyun greet him

"nice to meet you again.." Hoya said as he wave his hands

"what's wrong with the two of you?" Dongwoo asked  both of them but no one answered

"ya... Waeyo?" Dongwoo asked again

"n..nothing.. I got to go... See you around" Woohyun said as he ran to the hallway

"you?" dongwoo looked at hoya

"ani. we're just having a petty argument. Not serious at all"  

"really? But woohyun sounded so mad a while ago" Dongwoo said eyeing the running Woohyun who is already far from them

"yes.. I was shocked to his outburst too. Maybe he's sensitive these days" hoya answered

"... Hmm.. Okay.. It's lunchtime already, shall we go to the canteen?" Dongwoo smiled at him

Hoya was taken a back by Dongwoo's bright smile. It was the most precious thing he had ever seen.

He looked down and smiled, "sure, let's go.."

Woohyun called Sunggyu and told him to meet at the library.

"why? Sungyeol's acting strangely?"
Sunggyu asked Woohyun

"Ani. He still acts the same. Actually i am more bothered by this one student that's why i called you to meet me here" Woohyun answered

"Tell me" Sunggyu said as he sits opposite to Woohyun

"You know someone named Lee Howon?" Woohyun askes him

'Howon? Lee Howon... I think i heard that name somewhere' Sunggyu thought

"sounds familiar.. What about him?" Sunggyu said

"Well he happened to notice me tailing behind Sungyeollie a while ago. The funny thing is that im thinking that that Howon guy is also following Yeollie secretly cause why the hell will he be there?" Woohyun whispered to Sunggyu

"... That sounds strange..." Sunggyu said

"no.. That's not the strangest part.. The thing im confused the most is when he asked me if your brother, Myungsoo said something to me..."

"what the..."

"i know right?! Its like he also knows something too. This is making me crazy Sunggyu ~sii... What the hell is going on?"

'this is growing more confusing' Sunggyu thought

"i dont know.. I told you.. Myungsoo isnt telling me anything"

"do you think i should ask Yeollie?" Woohyun said

"what if he lied?" Sunggyu asked him

Woohyun assured him, "Yeol will never lie.. If he is, i will notice it right away. He will either hide it or tell it to me... But there's no way he gonna lie"

"im not so sure about that option woohyun~ah.. "

"we're doing this thing together, right? I'll help you in many ways that im capable of..." 

Sunggyu smiled a little. "thank you woohyun.. As for me, i want to meet and talk to that Howon guy.."

'he really sounds familiar to me... Where and when did i hear that name? Did he also happen to know Myungsoo's secrets?' Sunggyu thought

".... I want you to work for me as my secretary"

"WHAT?!" 

"I know that this is all of a sudden but let me explain things to you..."

"wait! Why did you suddenly want me to know these things?" Sungyeol asked myungsoo

"cause i chose you" Myungsoo simply answered. 

"o my god myungsoo, you're really beyond my comprehension!" Sungyeol scratched his head

"am i? Youre the well known nerd guy here but you couldn't read me?" Myungsoo

" you're way harder than i expected" 

"woah easy, if we really happen to got there, you'll see that i am really harder than you expect.." Myungsoo said as he wiggled his eyebrows

'seriously this guy..'

"stop it.. That's not what i meant. ert" Sungyeol lightly smack the other's arms

myungsoo chuckled. "Going back.. I want you to be my secretary.. Dont worry i'll pay you.. But promise me that you'll work for me and only me."

"just tell me what are you thinking first" Sungyeol looked at him seriously

"i already told you some parts of my past. The one who ruined all of it was still here, enjoying his freedom.. I have an idea in my mind as to who it is.. But i want to gather informations first... I can't open my mom's case again if i dont have enough proof in my hands. I'll start targeting the mastermind's people before him... That way, i can utterly destroy him.. Giving my mom the peace and justice, and clearing my name to my family..." Myungsoo answered looking far away

"clearing your name? They're blaming you?" Sungyeol asked him

"my dad does. Cause I kept my mouth shut when the police interrogate me before. Like me, he also thinks that my mom's death is not an accident but a murder... That me, hiding the fact that i know something made him mad."

"no way. Why he will blame you? You're the one who grieves the most.. Being in a situation like that.. Seeing your mom died..that's the worst!! However, why you need to hide those? If you hadn't kept your mouth shut, your mom's case will be over right at this moment"

Myungsoo smiled. He knew that Sungyeol has the purest heart ever.

"i dont know to him. Well im still fortunate that my grandma spare me a little mercy and let me work at our company as a head of the finance department though... And, no... It will be the opposite. If i will tell them what i know, without evidences... I'll be just a mere bluff witness. No one will believe me" 

"You think so? But i think you, being in the scene of the accident , said something about what happen before the car crash, im sure that they will investigate it" 

"Really? But what if my target is the most influential and powerful man in the country that can manipulate anyone that blocks his way... What do you think i must do?" Myungsoo asked him

"You're saying that your target is someone like that? You sure?" Sungyeol looked at him

Myungsoo chuckled. "im speaking hypothetically, yeollie.. What if my target is someone like that.. What shall i do?"

"hmmm... Then i guess..."

'i know that he will answer that i must fight with all i might or something like that...' myungsoo thought as he smiled

"... We'll have to fight him with everything we had.. together"

Myungsoo looked at sungyeol, quite surprised

"what's with that?" Myungsoo chuckled

"since you already dragging me into this, it'll probably be better if i'll go with you till the end, right? You also told me that you'll rely on me.. So yea..."

'i didn't made a wrong decision... Sungyeollie will be the only one capable of pulling up all the plans with me.' Myungsoo thought as he smiled

"you believe all that i said earlier?" Myungsoo asked him

"you didn't tell me that i should trust you.. But i have the hunch that you're not lying to me... Why would you anyway? You get mad at me when i lied a while ago. You expect honesty from other people so im sure that you're honest with yourself " Sungyeol answered

'wa.. such amazing person..' myungsoo thought as he ruffles sungyeol's hair

"you being serious is the iest thing ever" he teases Sungyeol

"stop it myungsoo.. " sungyeol fixed his hair

" then you're agreeing to my offer?" myungsoo asked him

"count me in.. Just let me know all your plans.."

"sure.. By the way.. You're the only one whom i telling all of this to. Please let this be a secret to anyone."

"deal"

-end of flashback-

Myungsoo walk into their dining hall as soon as he went back home from school.

"good evening, myungie" his sunggyu hyung greet him

"good eve, hyung.." myungsoo answered back.

The dining hall was really silent when their dad spoke

"how's school, gyu~ah" 

"everything's okay dad" Sunggyu humbly answered while myungsoo continue to munch his food

"how's exams?" their father again asked

"great. I got all my subjects an A+... Actually, myungsoo~ssi too. He even ranked first once again over their whole year level just like last year" Sunggyu proudly talked to his dad while glancing at myungsoo. Myungsoo smiled at his hyung. He's somehow glad that even he pushes him away sometimes, Sunggyu hasn't given up on him and still making him feel that he belongs in the family

"have you received the papers from Secretary Ahn? I told him to let you signed it" Their father dismissed Sunggyu's story

Myungsoo somehow isn't surprised at their father's reaction. He always changing the topic when Sunggyu tries to join myungsoo in their conversation. Actually he doesnt understand why his father treats him that way. Like he's being immature even with that age.. But it doesn't matter to him anymore.. As long as Sunggyu's with him, he will never get tired of living in their home...

"im done eating.. I'll go to my room first.. I'll change my clothes" Myungsoo excused himself 

"sure myungie.." Sunggyu said

He took a glance to his father but the latter didn't even looked at him

'whatever..tch'

He was about to go upstairs when suddenly someone spoke

"did i hear it wrong, myungsoo?" his father asked

"what?" myungsoo answered his dad with a question too

"Secretary Ahn told me that you're hiring someone in your department.. Since when did you become active in our company?"

"You're hiring someone?" Sunggyu interrupted their father

" Ah ne.. Im not planning to hide this from the both of you. Dont worry, he's excellent and reliable.. And you should not concern yourself with it dad... Its not that i'll change for the better for your satisfaction" myungsoo added some harshness to his last statement

"ya myungie! Dont talk like that to our dad" Sunggyu said

His dad chuckled as he stands from his seat, after finishing his dinner "what a brat.. It's not that i expect something from you.." he said as he walk passing myungsoo and went upstairs

Irritated, myungsoo also made his way upstairs and locked himself in his room

'funny. Hating me after putting a blame on me.. Dont worry, you stupid ahjussi... I'll put an end on this..' myungsoo muttered under his breath as he open one of his closets and searched for the black box he keep hidden from other people

He picked one of the copies of the articles his mom used to hide as well before she died. 

"now that i think about it... I must first find that Choi Minho guy... Since i already knew that Howon is a student here and actually tried to talk to Sungyeol.."

He was about to call Sungyeol when someone knocked on his door

"Myungsoo... Lets talk" 

Myungsoo opened the door after he hide the black box again and let Sunggyu inside

"tell me who.." his hyung asked him

"who? The one im hiring?" Myungsoo looked at him

"yes.. And the reason why as well" Sunggyu looked backed to his brother

"Sungyeol..will work for me as my secretary..."

'i knew it! Sungyeol maybe knows something and now teaming up with myungsoo'

"the reason?" Sunggyu asked him again

"cause i see him capable.. That's all" myungsoo answered, not being intimitated with his hyung

"capable of what exactly myungsoo~ssi?" This time Sunggyu grows sick and tired of Myungsoo's continuous hiding of some informations to him, he sounded really mad

But Myungsoo is so stubborn, and worried about his hyung so he still not allowed himself be swallowed by the anger of Sunggyu

"of everything" he briefly answered. 

Sunggyu was about to ask him again when Myungsoo again spoke

"thank you for making dad irritated again by mentioning my name awhile ago.. That certain face really makes my day" he said

"myungsoo.."

"no.. Im sincere. Thank you.. Really..."

"well im really proud of you, myungie that you're doing well in school. You're excellent at everything that's why i always make sure that dad never misses out your achievements" His hyung said while helding his shoulders

" i know.. You're such a great hyung..." Myungsoo said 'that's why i am going to protect you..'

"Hyung..." he suddenly added.

"what is it myungie?"

"can you do me a favor?"

"of course! Im actually happy that you're giving me a favor!" Sunggyu smiled

'its okay... Afterall, it was always hyung whom i trusted the most...'

"since you're close to dad.. Can you please watch him closely for me? " 

"huh?!"

"can you do it.. hyung?" 

Sunggyu looked at his brother's eyes..

'this kid is damn serious.. But maybe it will answer some questions that haunts me as well...'

"okay.. I will not ask you why cause i know you'll say nothing but let me know what i will gain from this" Sunggyu answered feeling resolved. He really did want to break Myungsoo's high wall in his heart and by doing this, he sees hope that his brother will suddenly tell him every piece of secrets that he kept for a long time

"what you will gain?" Myungsoo tilted his head slightly

"yes.. What will i gain from this?" sunggyu asked again

"the truth, hyung"
