Chapter 1

“Omma is going off to work, behave yourself”

“Taeyong, watch after your little sister” Taeyeon peck on their forehead.

Jiyeon pouts cutely “I’m just 10 minutes younger, why does it seem like 10 years?” she complains.

“I can also look after oppa” She tries to tip-toes to reach her brother’s height.

Taeyeon chuckles at her daughter’s adorable behaviour.

After Taeyeon left, Taeyong and Jiyeon were alone in their new house.

“Jiyeon, since we’re in Korea, do you want to look for our father?”

Jiyeon looks at him, clueless “But how? Korea is so big and he might not even be in Seoul”

“We have his name!”

“Ji Tae, Tae Ji, Ji Yong, Yong Ji. Four possible names, stupid brother, do you know how many people with these names are in Seoul?”

“No. You sound like you know”

“I don’t...” Jiyeon hated this side of her brother. He always plays smart and would make her speechless and embarrassed. This gene did not comes from their mother, which means it is from their unknown father.

“Let’s go and find him before omma comes back” Taeyong starts packing his stuff in his bag.

Jiyeon was unsure “Now?”, Taeyong nodded.

Meanwhile, Taeyeon is already outside her new workplace, UNI corp. which is a well-known company in Korea.

She used to work in the HR department as an assistant back in the New Zealand branch.

However, after she transfers to the main branch in Korea, she was promoted to the secretary of the President.

Her pay doubled, she doubted that it was a good thing because back in New Zealand rumours were that the President was a demon. New secretary either got fired or leave willingly within just a few weeks.

Taeyeon felt a chill ran down her spine.

She motivates herself and punches her fist in the air.

‘I definitely can’t lose this job! I still have to pay for the kids’ elementary school, tuition, high school, more tuition, college, and university’ Her mind wanders off too far unknowingly.

She walked into the building, then to the front reception to collect her staff pass.

She went to the highest floor where the President’s office and the HR department is also located at.

Taeyeon explores around and found her seat outside the President’s office.

“Are you new here?” Taeyeon was unpacking her stuff when she hears a voice near her.

Taeyeon saw a group of people around her who are probably from the HR department.

“I am” she replies and introduces herself.

The others also introduce themselves to her.

“Did you brought some drinks?” One of the girls took one of the coffee Taeyeon brought. If Taeyeon did not remember wrongly, her name was Sooyoung.

Taeyeon then remembered “Please take some”, she
