People were odd. That much was obvious. He at the carton of milk through the straw, biting back a frown as a bunch of people in the hallway either glared at him or greeted him enthusiastically.
He and Kyungsoo had been treated oddly recently. They were either known as the guys that had drawn the supposed icy rich girl out of her shell—which was ironic because other people still didn’t talk to her—or they were the guys that hung around the girl whose sister had an affair with another girl.
He heard the whispers in the hallway.
“They’re cute. Why do they talk to her?”
“Sungmin said that Jongin was a nice guy, but Lim Chaeyeon never talked to her.”
“Do you think her sister’s condition is contagious?”
“I don’t know, but Lim Chaeyeon does have the same genes as her sister.”
That had to be the stupidest thing that Jongin had ever heard, and he turned around, looking for the people who had the audacity to even say that. He sighed, giving up as everyone shut their mouth, hushing as Jongin scanned the hall.
He threw an arm around Kyungsoo’s neck, who was blinking at something in the distance, glasses missing.
“Jongin!” Someone called out to him, and he vaguely recalls the guy’s name. Park Jihun? Jisun?
“What’s up?”
