The next few weeks were such a blur that Jongin felt dizzy. It was a dizziness that radiated from his head all the way to his toes when he stood up. It was a dizziness that had him half-asleep at all times and he went through the motions and his schedule on the calendar, his brain practically dead. It was a dizziness that made him constantly nauseous.
Dance practice. Music show. Variety show taping. Interview. Cutting deals with music studios. Worst of all, he knew something had to fund it all, and they had little to no money. Kwon Jiyong had to help them out. The thought made him want to puke again.
And Chaeyeon. Good, reliable Chaeyeon. She faced it all head-on. She was more of a shining compass than ever before. She was just as tired as the rest of them, and yet, she had clearly felt this sort of exhaustion before. It made him wish that he stopped all her late nights at university, but it had become a blessing in disguise.
Jongin wouldn’t even be able to explain whether the debut was a success or not. He was too tired to know. Kwon Jiyong just told them when to jump, and Jongin obeyed and hopped no matter how much his legs ached. Kyungsoo was doing the same, but clearly the situation was getting to him too.
Taemin had the most energy out of them, and for good reason. He wasn’t cutting the deals. Whenever he had time, he was told to rest to be ready for the next show or practice.
Media talks. Vocal practice. Filming for a surprise video for fans. Another music show.
Jongin forgot to eat again. Not that surprising. He just wanted to sit down and close his eyes. For once, Chaeyeon was forcing him to eat and take care of himself.
Kyungsoo passed him a coffee. This was turning into his new normal. He took a large swig, waiting for it to kick in. He was so tired. So, so tired. But the promotions were starting to wane slightly and the smoke was starting to clear. So far, no scandals. But, a certain big company that a few of them had previously been associated with very clearly didn’t like them.
