About three months after Jackson had arrived, Mark had made, absolutely no contact with the new student. Not that he cared. He assumed since it had been a while, and Jackson hadn't attempted to make conversation, his relationship with the boy would be the same as that of all the other students in the school. Basically, to not have one. 

Lunch time finally came after what seemed like forever, and as usual, he stayed in the classroom and ate by himself with his earbuds in and hood up. As he ate, he got a notifiction: "HYUNGGGG"

He smiled and unlocked his phone.

dabdab // TUNA HYUNGGGG

dabdab // WE HAVE A PROBLEM

yn.tuna // What's the problem?

kyum // one of us spilt cyj's pudding while he was asleep...

yn.tuna // Ahahahaha 

yn.tuna // Who?

kyum // actually, we have a new member of the group... and he was the one who spilt it...

yn.tuna // Uhhhh. Idk kyum...just let him figure it out on his own? lol

dabdab // HYUNG!!

yn.tuna // ahahaha im kidding im kidding... hmmm

yn.tuna // replace the pudding?

kyum // ...it was a special edition one

yn.tuna // Huh... alright.

yn.tuna // Wait, jy and jb aren't with you? Don't they usually figure these things out?

kyum // they're at some meeting... student reps I think? Probably about our upcoming sports day.

yn.tuna // ah. that makes sense

yn.tuna // I dunno... how about you shove your phone in his face when he wakes up and I'll talk to him

dabdab // You think that'll work?

yn.tuna // Well...we can't think of anything else right?

dabdab // true...alright!

After about a minute of nothing, he continues eating. Once he's about 3/4 of the way done with his bento, he gets another notification. 

kyum (cyj) // hyung? kyum and dabdab told me you wanted to talk to me. -cyj

yn.tuna // yep

yn.tuna // alright...don't freak out, but...someone spilt your pudding while you were asleep.

kyum (cyj) // HAHHHHH??!? 

There was a minute of inactivity and Mark assumed cyj was unleashing his rage. He briefly prayed for kyum, dabdab, and the new guy, then sent another message.

yn.tuna // Cyj? Imma need you to come back to me.

dabdab (cyj) // ...yes?

yn.tuna // First of all, calm down.

dabdab (cyj) // BUT 

dabdab (cyj) // THEY

dabdab (cyj) // SPILT

dabdab (cyj) // MY

dabdab (cyj) // PUDDING

dabdab (cyj) // hyung

yn.tuna // yes I know. But the one who spilt it didn't know it was special edition, or how scary you are when you wake up, not to mention your possessiveness of your food.

yn.tuna // How about you let him go just this once, give him a warning, and if he does it again, you can do whatever

yn.tuna // Alright?

dabdab (cyj) // but hyung

yn.tuna // Alright?

dabdab (cyj) // ...fine

yn.tuna // Thank you

kyum (jackson) // YOU ARE A GOD

kyum (jackson) // MY SAVIOR

yn.tuna // ...kyum?

kyum (jackson) // Oh! This is the "new guy" nice to meet you!!!!!!

yn.tuna // ahhhh I see

yn.tuna // Be careful next time alright?

kyum (jackson) // yessir (^ - ^)ゞ

yn.tuna // Alright. I need to finish eating my lunch

dabdab // okie byeeee ty hyung!!

yn.tuna // bye ^ x ^

Mark turned off his phone and sighed. Laughing a second later at what just happened, and finishing his lunch. 

The bell rang and students began returning to their classrooms.

Jackson and Jaebum walked in together.

"Seriously hyung! I thought I was gonna die!"

The pair sat down and Jackson continued explaining to Jaebum with excessive hand motions.

Oh look, it's the protagonists of the shoujo manga.

His attention was soon pulled away from the two as the teacher walked in and began the lesson.

After school, Mark got another notification from the group chat.

Gaga? 

Interesting... Mark thought to himself.

yn.tuna // Gaga? As in Lady Gaga?

cyj // that wasn't funny hyung

yn.tuna // Awh are you still mad about your pudding?

cyj // YAH HYUNG!

cyj // tsk. If only I knew you irl... you'd be running 

yn.tuna // This kid. I'm your HYUNG merong 

cyj // ending it with merong just defeats the purpose of you telling me you're my hyung "hyung"

yn.tuna // Ahahaha oh whaleeeee

gaga // well... in case you haven't noticed, I'm GAGA!! Nice to meet you again savior hyung!!

yn.tuna // Lol hi gaga nice to meet you too. I'm tuna hyung. At your service! Or yien I guess

After that, the chat sort of awkwardly died because there was no dabdab to break the silence.

Speaking of which... where's dabdab? He's usually one of the most active in the chat.

yn.tuna // Where's dabdab?

jy.2 // dance practice with kyum

yn.tuna // That makes sense.

And again, the chat died. Oh well.

Mark finally made it to cram school. After that he just went back home and started doing homework. He had nothing else to do really. No extra curriculars, no particular interests. And that meant no drama, and Mark was satisfied with that. 

For him, everything was good enough. Just enough to keep him satisfied. He wasn't ambitious, he had no real reason to do things out of his comfort zone, so he didn't. 

He saw people doing things with their lives, people younger than him, doing great things. And he thought, "good for them."

Good for kids like dabdab and kyum who had a passion like dancing. Leaders like jy and jb.

Mark saw himself as more of a supporting role, a side character to everyone's stories, if at all. The extra, the passerby, and that was enough. That was good enough for Mark.
