first teaser for the overall story and a bit to know our woori and how she works and all that good stuff.
Ahn Woori looked at the file that was turned into her by one of her clients, she was to meet her today to discuss a perfect candidate for her client to marry. So this is going to be her second marriage? Interesting. A soft knock was heard at her office door, which Woori went to the door and welcomed her client.
"You can have a seat right there, Ms. Kim," she said as she motioned her client to sit across from her desk, "So, this is your first time doing business this type of business, right?"
Ms. Kim nodded, "Yes it is. After a finding out that the jerk was having an affair.. He left me for his lover..."
"Ah, I see. Don't worry, we'll make sure to find a perfect match for you."
"I want to get revenge by remarrying! I want a man who's a hundred times better than that jerkass!" she exclaimed at the thought of wanting revenge.
Woori continued to listen with a slim pressed smile.
"You have two kids, one that's three and four, yes?"
"You have two kids, one that's three and four, yes?"
"Yes."
"The problem is whether your future husband can stomach caring for another man's children." Woori said frankly as she started typing on her computer to take notes on her client.
"Um... I'm not expecting much... As long as he cares for the kids as his own.. And if he has enough, I would like a man who can provide an education abroad.."
Woori laughs awkwardly with Ms. Kim's high standards: "So you work as a salesperson for skincare products. You have no retirement savings... Or a retirement plan." she said as she continued typing.
"Well, your friends told you that you would find a better man, didn't they?"
Ms. Kim looked at her hopefully, "Yes, they did."
"Get rid of them. They are not good friends." Woori said with her eyes locked on her.
"What? Excuse me?" She asked with surprise. What did she say?
"Ms. Kim, the failure to remarry starts with flimsy hope. Success comes when you understand your own situation. Do you know why our slogan is 'Brave Wedding?'"
She shook her head. "We take what's ours and we give what's yours. We establish guidelines for our customers before marriage and after divorce - in case of an affair, we clearly state when can be given and what can be taken." Woori explained carefully.
It took awhile for her to soak in the information, though she understood it.
"Did you think that a prince was going to come up and help your depressed self?"
She nodded. Though Woori only sighed.
"There is no prince, let's make that clear. Throw away your fantasies and start managing yourself."
"Managing myself?" She asked.
Woori nodded: "Men seek remarriage with beautiful women. Women seek remarraige for those who have fiancial prowess. If you invest in yourself more we will match you with a man that will send your kids to study abroad and you will receive what you deserve."
Her client smiled with hope in her eyes, "It's different from my wish. But I believe it."
"If you wait outside for a bit there will be someone to discuss our service's pricing with you."
"Thank you so much," she was getting ready to leave, "Ah, I also heard that you are also a divorcee."
"Thank you so much," she was getting ready to leave, "Ah, I also heard that you are also a divorcee."
Woori looked at her with a pressed smile. Where did she hear that? She thought.
"Are you not planning to remarry?" She asked innocently.
"Ah... I'm plan on remarrying... It's just now that I'm a bit too busy." She said with a smile. And it's also because I'm still single.
"Ah I see, well anyways, thank you again." Ms. Kim said and she left.
Woori sighed heavily and mumbled, "That was the first time that someone asked me that... How does she even know?"
