Running amidst the ruins of yet another fallen city Jungkook and Taehyung were spending the summer as  any normal childern would, although nothing was normal about their situation. The boys only ten years of age were blissfully ignorant of the state their home planet was headed towards.

School had been out for summer and Jungkook and Taehyung could not be happier. When they crossed the wired fences into the ruins they did not expect to find the fallen city. To the little boys, the city with its empty streets and abandoned buildings were nothing but a big playground with no adults nagging them.

Jungkook and Taehyung had been good friends since Taehyung’s family had moved in the neighborhood. What both Jungkook and Taehyung didn’t know was that Taehyung’s city had fallen just like the one they were playing in, and that Jungkook’s city had been one of the few shelter cities that had been announced as safe spaces. Jungkook’s parents were the founders of a research institute that had been looking for ways to overturn the situation. They were rarely home and so Namjoon, Jungkook’s brother had been in charge of looking after them but he had been so engrossed in a book that he had no idea the boys had slipped out of the house.
