“Keeeeey~! Key, wake up! Wake up!” Taemin was jumping on my bed, effectively waking me from my much needed sleep. I fluttered my eyes open and stare at his beaming smile.

“What’s up, Taemin? It’s rare for you to wake up earlier than me.” I sat on my bed and stretched. I looked at Taemin who has his mouth hanging open, staring back at me wide-eyed. “Taemin, close your mouth.”

“Key! What are you talking about? It’s Christmas!” Huh? What? Christmas? Well, I guess I lost track of time when I go on vacations. “Merry Christmas, Key umma!” Taemin tackled me and sent us both back down on the mattress.

“Oh, Taemin, you’re so adorable. Merry Christmas to you too, baby!” I patted his head and he giggled in return.

“Come on, we have to hurry up and pack again. We’re heading off to Nami Island and Seoul today! I can’t wait to go to Nami Island, Key! I mean, it’s Nami freaking Island! They film Winter Sonata there! KEY HURRY!” That kid was so excited he jumped around on the bed.

“Okay,okay! They won’t leave us behind, Tae.” I got up and started to pack.

“Hurry, hurry, hurry!” I groaned and tried to be as fast as I could. Things I do for my son.

.: Taemin :.

I kind of felt bad rushing Key like that. But I really reaaaaally wanted to be the first one to say Merry Christmas to Onew! I knew I was being selfish but I couldn’t help it. And if ever Key knew about my reason, I’d just ‘aegyo’ out of my situation. He would love me back in a split second!

We went to the hotel lobby and thankfully no one was there yet except Taecyeon, Onew and Jjong. I literally ran to Onew and gave him a big hug.

“Merry Christmas, Onew!” Onew staggered but managed to balance himself. He laughed and hugged me back. Taecyeon laughed along and Jjong just chuckled. I could see Key rolling his eyes and smirked at me. I bet they were jealous~

“Merry Christmas to you too, Taechi. How come you’re so energetic this early?” We broke apart and I grinned.

“Because we’re going to Nami Island today! I saw their souvenir shop in a magazine back home and they have the cutest little phone-straps I’ve ever seen!”

“Well aren’t you cute. I’m excited about Nami Island too.” I tilted my head. I thought he had been there so many times.

“Eh? Why?” He just grinned and grabbed my shoulders. His eyes twinkled in delight.

“Because today we’ll be eating dakgalbi. The amazing stir-fried marinated chicken.”

.: Taecyeon :.

“Merry Christmas, you two.” I said to Key and Taemin. They returned the greeting and Jonghyun chimed in. His cheeks were tinted pink and he shuffled nervously.

“Good morning and Merry Christmas!” He said in his accented English. Man, even a blind man could see his effort to impress Key.  Key’s lips tugged into a slight smile and replied. Meanwhile the other two were talking as if they had been friends for… forever. Onew was preaching to the kid about the ‘wonderous, amazing, incredible flavor of chicken’ to the other kid.

Really, how cute!

“Key we’re in Nami Island, oh my goodness.” What’s with this kid? He’s practically shaking by now and we just entered!

“Taemin, if you’re going to be like this when we’re only by the entrance, I can’t imagine the things you do when we’re inside.” Taemin took a deep breath and calmed down. Only a little.

“Sorry, umma. Can’t help it. Really.”

We walked along the path that had neat rows of trees planted on the sidewalks. Since it’s winter, the trees are bald, but they’re still pretty anyways. It was crowded because it’s a public holiday. And here’s the thing that pissed me off the most, there are lots of couples. Lots of freaking couples in love. Holding hands, sharing this mitten that has a string connecting them, taking lots of pictures together. Hell, even this one couple brought a tripod so they could take a perfect picture together. And I hate looking at couples. Why? Because I didn’t have anyone to hold hands with. If you’re thinking that I’m a jealous right now well yes I am. Deal with it!

“Key, you okay?” Taemin tugged my jacket and I snapped out of my mental rambling.

“Yeah, I’m good.”

.: Taemin :.

“Key, there’s the souvenir shop! Let’s go!” I dragged Key and entered the shop. I almost squealed when I did!

There were lots of cute stuffs! There were these adorable acorn and mushroom shaped phone strap and necklace, there were also this snowman shaped ones! I practically ran inside the store, looking at every single stuff they had. Oh there were lots of them!

“Taemin, baby, calm down!” I ignored Key’s suggestion when I found a cute cat shaped little statue. God, I wished I could buy the whole store.

“Taechi, what are you looking at?” Onew popped up behind me.

“This is so adorable, Onew!” He took the little statue and examined it.

“Yeah, but you’re cuter.” I blushed a million shades of red and he just laughed at my reaction. “Hey, how about we get a matching phone strap? I think they have one just like this cat.” I tried my best to shoo away the blush and agreed.

“Yeah! That would be awesome!”

In the end we bought the same cat phone strap. And snowman keychain. And the mushroom phone strap too. And also the acorn necklace. Oops?

.: Onew :.

The time I had been waiting for… Lunch. Lunch that consisted of chicken. Chicken, oh sweet, sweet chicken!

“Hyung, you look so happy.” Jonghyun said. I only looked at him.

“Jonghyun. My little dongsaeng. Do you even know how long I’ve been waiting to eat chicken?”

“You ate chicken yesterday night at the hotel, hyung.” He raised his eyebrow.

“Exactly! It’s over 12 hours!” I dug in and the party in my mouth began. God, thank you for creating such magnificent animal.

It’s only lunch time and lots of great things happened. I fiddled with the little white cat strapped to my phone. I remembered Taemin’s happy, blushing face when I suggested a matching accessory. Even though I love my chicken, maybe I’ve found something better than that.
