The name’s Kim Kibum, better known as Key. A not-so-ordinary 20 year old Korean-American guy. I’m currently sitting in a plane, heading to Incheon Airport in South Korea. I live in Los Angeles, California, but I decided I should visit my Mom’s birthplace. My Dad is American and my Mom is obviously Korean, they met in college during the time my Mom studied in LA. They got married and a few years later, BAM! I was born.

Despite growing up being half Korean, I know very little about Korean language. I know some basic expressions and words but I can’t speak anywhere near decent. So, to avoid being lost in translation, I took a tour instead. The tour leader is a Korean guy who has been living in the States for more than 5 years, Ok Taecyeon.

I dragged my friend, Lee Taemin, along. I mean, I don’t wanna travel alone. I kind of guessed I’ll meet some pretty ty assed people and boy I was right. This guy who looks like a stupid tall alien and his wife and two kids, damn they’re annoying. They only had to speak up once and I hate them already. And this other group, a grandma, a mom and the son who just can’t shut the hell up. The others aren't that bad, I guess. But who knows? They might turn out to be some stupid people in the end.

“Key, are we almost there? My hurts!” Taemin whined. He’d been saying that for the last 30 minutes and I don’t understand why he didn’t get up and walk around for a while.

“We’re only 10 hours in the flight. We got more or less 3 hours to go, Tae. Besides, you sit on the aisle seat. You can walk around anytime you want!” I sighed.

“But Keeey, I don’t wanna walk around… I wanna get off the plane already.” He whined some more. I love this kid, really. But sometime’s he’s a pain in the .

“Yeah, well you can jump off right this second Lee Taemin. Now shut it before I really do throw you off the plane.”

“Sorry, Umma…” He sank to his seat and watched some random movie. He likes to call me ‘umma’ because I take care of him in the apartment we shared. Five minutes after he apologized, and he kept concentrating on his screen. Ah… Peace and quiet at last. I shut my eyes, hoping to get some last minute snooze, but suddenly,

“Umma!” Taemin nudged me for the umpteenth time during the whole flight.

“What is it now, Taemin?” I said exasperatedly.

“Can I lean on your shoulder?” He batted his eyes and gave me his adorable ‘aegyo’, as the Korean would say.

“Silly.” I ruffled his hair and let him do what he wanted. "Now get some sleep or something."

"Yes, Umma~" Silly, silly kid he is.
