PIE POV

"Why are you just standing there?"

We are outside my house and Kim is acting weird. She doesn't want to go inside.

"I'm nervous Pie!"

She's looking at me with uneasiness.

"What? Why?"

I asked.

"I mean, your mom is home right? I'm not sure how will I talk to her!"

Her face looks really worried.

"She likes you before and she approved of us, don't overthink about it."

I'm trying to give her an assurance.

"Oh geez, what should I do? I don't want her to think I'm a good for nothing."

She keeps on blabbing.

"Then just go home! I'm going inside."

I'm about to walk away from her when she held my hands to stop me.

" I'm sorry Pie. Don't be upset! I'm acting like a chicken, I just want your mom to be impressed with me. So that she will not have to think if her daughter is in good hands. I want to prove to her that she made the right decision to accept me."

I'm touched, I wasn't able to control myself so I hugged her.

"Hey, are you crying?"

Kim asked while hugging me back.

"I hate seeing you cry, your mom might even get the wrong idea and think that I made you cry. Stop crying my baby."

"I just felt happy and touched."

She's wiping my tears away.

We went inside the house and looked for Mom. We saw her in the kitchen preparing food. I greeted and kissed her. Kim is acting shy and just greeted her. Mom is eyeing her.

"What's with the cold treatment Kim? Aren't you going to treat your mother-in-law better?"
