"Byunghee, your better be off my pillows once I unlock this stupid- door!" a furious Soo-kyung yells as she struggles to open their shared apartment's door one Sunday evening.

"ing winter freezing the ing lock," Soo-kyung grumbles to herself.

She can hear the loud, raucous sounds of video game gunshots and Byunghee cursing in frustration inside, and glares at the door even more. Then after a few more attempts at unlocking the door and failing, Soo-kyung lets out a growl and takes out her phone to call her roommate/best friend.

The call goes to voicemail after a few rings and Soo-kyung dials again, and again, before actually letting out a roar and pounding on their apartment door. (One of their neighbors exiting their apartment whips their head at the sound before understanding dawns on their face when they see who it is.)

After a few more seconds of pounding on the door, Byunghee finally gets her inconsiderate- up to open it.

"Who the hell--" Byunghee's scowl turns into a bright grin. "--Oh, hey Soo-soo~"

The sounds of that blasted video game continue on in the background as a now pissed off Soo-kyung stalks past her and aggressively kicks off her boots. Byunghee automatically locks the door after her and watches her take off her winter coat for a second before quickly moving to mute their TV and coming back to stand in front of her.

"Okay, what'd I do now?" Byunghee jokingly asks, a hand on her hip.

Soo-kyung pauses her coat zipping and lets out an angry snort. "What'd you do?" She adjusts her round, black glasses as she looks at her. "Byunghee, I've been waiting outside the door for three ing minutes. Three. But you were too ing busy playing that stupid game to even care."

Byunghee's just about to argue on that but Soo-kyung cuts her off as she hangs up her coat in their coat closet. "And don't give me that 'but the game can't pause' B.S. either."

"What? But I--"

"Like the least you could do is take out a headphone so you can listen for ing people instead of having me jus--"

"But your key?" Byunghee replies, her pitch rising. "Ya know the thing you use to open in' locked doors? Like why're you gettin' mad at me when--"

"Because the lock froze, dummy! I couldn't get in!"

"Then--ugh--why didn't you just call me?"

"I did."

Byunghee's frustrated expression quickly melts to shame. "O-oh."

Soo-kyung then gives her a withering look before lifting her eyes to the ceiling and sighing. Then, she heads off to her room and slams the door shut, and Byunghee stands there for a good moment before frowning and walking back towards her game.

The rest of the night consists of her playing the same fighting game (with her other friends Chaeyoung and Ye-eun playing with her from their homes) while Soo-kyung does whatever in her room.

A whole week passes by, with Soo-kyung giving her best friend the silent treatment rather than blow up in her face again. So, even when she heads off to work, when Byunghee tells her Bye, stay safe she only lets out a grunt with thin lips before closing the door after herself.

Currently, she's still frowning as she steps down the sludgy steps of their apartment building, before she stills when she sees just how much snow actually fell on the ground last night. Her eyes lift towards the sky as snowflakes continue to fall, and she lifts up her scarf to cover after a chilling breeze passes by her.

Instantly, she wonders how she's gonna be able to drive in this snow. Then, she thinks that maybe this is what she gets for ignoring Byunghee when she tried to talk to her about the weather this morning.

And as she stands there, thinking of different scenarios and eyeing her car stuck between tall piles of snow, her phone suddenly vibrates with a text message. So she takes it out of her pocket while walking back to her warmer apartment building, and takes off a glove to unlock the screen and see what the text says.

Krissy: Yo I'm bouta call out. I can't even get outta my apartment rn

Soo-kyung sighs as she texts her co-worker/good friend back. I think I'm gonna have to call out too, she texts.

Then, after standing there and weighing her options for another good moment, Soo-kyung makes a quick call to her boss, letting him know that she won't be able to make it in, before glancing at the snow one more time and walking to her apartment building's stairwell. She texts her girlfriend Junghee on the way up, asking her if she's doing alright, and smiles when she gets a text back as she reaches her apartment door.

It's a pic of a smiling Junghee with her three doggies crowding around her on the bed, and Soo-kyung pouts a bit as she knocks on her apartment door, wishing that she could melt all of the snow outside so that she could spend this day off with Junghee.

Byunghee opens the door a few seconds later, on the phone with someone, and Soo-kyung silently walks in and takes
